LDD IN PHILLY AT Wizard World

Living Dead Dolls creators Ed Long and Damien Glonek will be hosting a panel at this years Wizard World Convention in Philadelphia on May 31st from 3:30 - 4:30 in room in the Jim Mooney room (room 204C). We will be doing a raffle at the end of the discussion and winner will win a LDD prize.

2007 LDD Halloween Costume Contest

Greetings fiends, the season of the dead is upon us once more and with that brings the 7th annual Living Dead Dolls Halloween Costume Contest.  This contest is open worldwide to all boils and ghouls or whatever you are.  Rules are simple, dress up as your favorite doll from any of the past series 1 – 14 as well as any exclusives, Fashion Victims, Dollies or Rag Dolls.  Enter as many times as you like.  Winners are chosen on doll authenticity as well as atmosphere of the entry.  See last year's photos for winning examples.  Winners will be chosen and notified the second week of November with winning entries posted on www.livingdeaddolls.com soon after. This year we will be doing something different, there will be a total of four winning entries chosen.  No first, second or third.  Each one will receive one doll of our choosing from the Living Dead Dolls Resurrection Variant set.

NY- Mezco's disturbingly popular line of Living Dead Dolls is preparing to release it's landmark 13th series of the purportedly possessed playthings of Pandemonium. In a move sure to bedevil those with triskaidekaphobia, the series with use "bad luck" as its theme . Broken mirrors, ladders, black cats, umbrellas, and  evil eyes are all featured in this "Bad Luck" themed 13th series.  Each doll, cursed also includes a piece of a special charm, collect all the dolls, assemble the charm, and break the bad luck!
 
To celebrate the upcoming line, Mezco has announced the limited release of two commemorative items. In keeping with the spirit of the number 13th, each of the items will be in a limited edition of 130. The first item is a t-shirt that features a official Living Dead Dolls series 13 logo. Printed in blood red ink on a gray shirt, it is quickly becoming a favorite piece of LDD fan's wardrobes.
 
The second item is an "Unlucky Coin". Crafted by a team of artisans to Mezco's exacting specifications, the metal coin features the official Living Dead Dolls series 13 logo on the "tails" side, has a secret image on the "heads", and an "antique silver" finish.

The Living Dead Doll Art Show: Resurrecting Designer Toys

 

Halloween, there couldn't be a more appropriate a night to debut the first-ever Living Dead Dolls Art Show. The internationally anticipated show premieres October 31, 2006 at New York's famous designer toy gallery "The Showroom NYC". Previously, all Living Dead Dolls have been designed by Ed Long, Damien Glonek and Michael "Mez" Markowitz; this upcoming art show invites over 100 artists to design, interpret and explore their own dark vision of the Living Dead Dolls

 

Invited artists have been selected from numerous fields and disciplines, the list is a veritable Who's Who list of notoriety and talent; besides Ed, Damien & Mez creating one of a kind originals other contributing artists include: Michael Dougherty, artist and screen writer on Superman Returns and X Men 2; Comic book legend Simon Bisley; Gothic artist and musician Voltaire; toy development power house Inu Art Studios; Oblongs TV show creator and artist Angus Oblong; Famous Japanese designer Hiddy; Seth Green writer and creator of Adult Swims Robot Chicken; Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle writer, creator and artist Kevin Eastman and many more.
