27 god help me

I turned 27 yesterday and 30 feels like its just around the corner.

I feel like the prime of my life is slipping by. Theres a few things I feel i should have done with my life by now, but haven't.

Anyway I had a great day, yes I worked from 5am in the morning but the shift went by quickly. Then it was on to a few beers with dad at the Keilor pub, followed by a little tinkle on the pokies which earned me $20. Then it was off to week 2 of my furniture making course. This week the timber has arrived and has been cut to size for us. The next step is to take the cut pieces and join them together to make the pieces which will be joined in order to create a piece of furniture. I still have a few more bits to stick together next week before I can move on. The technical term used for sticking the bits together is a biscuit join, which is really easy to do with the right tools and a bit of wood glue.

Oh and I should mention that I lost another 2 kgs this week taking my total lost weight to just over 25kgs. I even had a chance to go shopping with my sister(sh bought me some clothes for my bday) and i t was awesome to find clothes that fit without going to the Mr. Big sections, i even came away with some clothes that don't have an X in the size. Go me! :)

I also managed to cram in a trip to the movies. Saw Deja Vu and I liked it right from the first scene.

Sorry couldn't help myself my brother is gonna slap me if he reads/hears about this.

As always Have Fun!

BBQs, Scales, Tables, Sleep, Work and WoW
Current mood: sleepy

Well I have been a little busy lately. Leveling my WoW character is time consuming but i have managed to fit in other activities as well.

Nick and Chief came over on OZ day for a bit of a bbq, which then became a night out in Brunswick St. Fitzroy. While it may not have been the best night out ever, we did find a funky new place to hang out and have a few beers.

So after a big bbq and some junk food after our night out I was a bit worried about the result of my weekly weigh in. I was pleasantly surprised to have lost another 1.5kgs and to break the 115kg mark as I predicted earlier in the week(Even if it was only by 100g).

Anyway already in a super mood after my weigh in I headed off to participate in one of my Christmas presents. A short course, "INTRODUCTION TO FURNITURE MAKING" given to me by mum and my sister Sharon. For a while now I've wanted to make a coffee table and now I have my chance. The course goes for 9 weeks, this being the first week was about designing what we wanted to build and then ordering the required wood to make it. When I get my design back next week I'll post it up here and I'll be sure to take a digital camera next week so I can get some progress shots as well.

Unfortunately in all this excitement I was called into work at 5am this morning, it was late notice so I didn't really prepare well having no sleep the night before but i got through the shift with no dramas and I will get a little extra cash in the next paycheck.

Well I think now I should go grab some sleep so I'm fit and firing for our first Bball game back at Coburg.

I said I'd be happy but...

Well I weighed in and I'd lost 800g.  I was a little disappointed, but then again I didn't have the best week in regards to sticking to the diet religously.

I suppose a loss is a loss, but now that I have lost a bit of weight and I am starting to see results I am really keen to keep on losing and getting to my goal weight.  So it is frustrating losing 800g when you know you can lose 3.1 kg in the same time frame.

As i write this and think about it a bit more I only have myself to blame, expecting continued good results but slackening off on the hard work and effort that is required to get them.

Anyway this week I plan to stay strong and hopefully do a little better, although the almost traditional Australia day BBQ at my place may put a spanner in the works.

Don't forget... Have Fun!

The day before

Well tomorrow I'll be weighing in to see how my weight loss is going. It feels like I have really struggled this week. I won't be surprised if I'm not at the 3 kilo loss I achieved in the first two weeks of the year. At the end of the day I'll be happy with any loss at all.

Oh yeah.. I finally got an photo of me put up hope you all like it.

3 is the number thy shall count.. no more... no less...

Well weigh in number 2 for the year showed that I have lost another 3 kilos.  Considering the binging done last friday night it was a fair effort.

I've been busy at home lately. My brother got a new computer, I installed a Wireless network and I have been doing a general clean up of files and programs on the 3 systems we have.

My dad and his new wife have started on the tony ferguson diet too. Dad is enjoying it and being a diabetic is wrapped that his blood sugar levels are at an all time low.  However his wife is frustrated with it, feeling she is not losing enough for the things she had to give up to go on the diet.

Oh and we were back at bball last week and it was awesome to see chief back in action.  I enjoyed myself more last week than in a long time. I think with chief back there is less pressure on me to be one of the major scorers and i can relax a bit.

Anyway, Have Fun !

3.3 Kgs closer
Current mood: optimistic

As some may be aware I recently decided that enough was enough and i need to drop a few pounds(ok ok, well, more than a few).

Mum had started on Tony Ferguson's diet and she was going great guns having lost 20kgs already, so I talked to her about it and it sounded like just the ticket to strp the kilos off me.

I started on the last day of October last year, at a massive 138.6 Kgs. Since then i have been steadily losing weight. I treated Christmas and the New Year as a bit of a break from the diet(Christmas Pudding and Brendy Custard anyone?), however to my great surprise and delight I still lost weight.

I weighed in yesterday after resuming the diet in the first week of the new year and I was very pleased with myself, having lost another 3.3 kilos. This brings me down to 120.3 kilos and surely next week i'll be through the 120 mark which will be superbulous(i just made that word up then).

Anyway, thanks everyone who has given me support on the weight loss journey so far and if i can keep the kilos coming off at this rate meeting my thinner healthier self may not be as far off as i first thought.

Bad Luck Boys

Well just got home from the Grand Final

It was a fantastic game but unfortunately my team fell short by 1 pt. congratulations to West Coast, they deserved to win leading for the whole day.

Even though we lost they played really well and never gave up all day, i was proud to be wearing their colours.

Anyway I'm off to do that damn assignment.

Bad Luck Bloods we'll get em next year.

Carn the Bloods!

Going to the AFL grand final later today. My team the Sysdney Swans is playing for the second year in a row so hopefully we can make it back to back flags.

You follow Sydney, did you used to live in Sydney?  No the Sydney Swans were actually the South Melbourne Swans but were forced to move due to financial and other difficulties in the early eighties.

My dad grew up in South Melbourne and followed the swans and it is family tradition now, even though they have moved to sydney.

I should be terribly excited but I have an assignment for uni due on monday which is in the back of my mind all the time putting a dampener on things.  Hopefully the enthusiasim of all the other swans supporters there will help me forget about it for at least a couple of hours.

OMG I have a MySapce

Yes its true

You may be wondering why I look like the cookie monster,  well i was helping a manufacturer test a new cookie recipe and i became the cookie monster.  My superpowers haven't manifested yet but i'll let you know when they do.

Seriously he was just one of my favourites as a little kid, and my parents say feeding me was a little like feeding cookies to the cookie monster.  Some people say that things haven't changed.

Anyway Bball tonight we lost last week and we need a big win to get some confidence back.

P.S I will endeavour to get a real picture of me up soon although people may petiton to have it removed so that their screens don't break when they accidentally view it.
