Loving Celebrities
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities
I felt convicted when I heard about the death of Anna Nicole Smith. I know very little about her, but I know for certain that she was a human being. I believe that her value was set at priceless and precious by God's love for her...and yet, it appears to me, that no one helped her, including me.
How could a regular guy like me ever help the "rich and famous"? I don't know, but that's no excuse for idlely watching as celebrities die. Sad, lonely, depressed. Apparently not knowing God's love for them, not knowing the saving, redemptive, grace of Jesus Christ that is available to all.
I have felt this way before about other celebrities who have perished. Now, I am seeing similar signs from Brittney and others. It's a seemingly never ending stream. I'm sad. I bet I'm not the only one who feels this way.
I don't give a rip about their wealth, their celebrity, or any of that. In most case, I don't even like their acts.
This blog is devoted to providing a forum for anyone to communicate to celebrities that we love them as people, regardless of any wealth, fame, or status, or whatever, that they have. To let them know that there are people who do not want anything from them and do not judge them. Rather we love them right where they are because they are precious in God's eyes.
I hope that anyone who feels this way will post messages of love, comfort, and encouragement to celebrities (or anyone, I guess). My idea is that celebrities could then read the posts in privacy, and know that they are loved as people.
