Hello. We put up a new track here on myspace. It's called the bathtime beat.
We've talked before about how we both spend too much time in the bathtub, especially since we moved into our house with the TV built into the bathroom wall.
But, do you know what we do even more than watch TV and read books in there??? Actually the number one thing is make music! Yoshimi hums and I play drums. This new track is all about making nice beats with the tub water. And there is an awesome drum solo towards the end of the song... and underwater recorders too!
Check it out, and please let us know what you think! And, even better yet, take a soak and make your own melody!
Also, further recommended listening is the water drum hits of my musical heroes The Baka Forest People.

If you have some free time, let's float away together!
We designed and built a new house / studio. It is here in Japan, so of course there are a lot of crazy gadgets (bath tub TV, butt spraying toilet, heated table, etc etc.)
Our latest album "plays pajama pop pour vous" is out now. Let's listen! Let's float away!
We put three tracks from it up here on myspace. I hope you like them! And, if you are interested in ordering a copy (thank you), please check Darla.com They have the best price!
We made a video for our track bedroom bossa band. You can check it out here.
We co-directed it with 2 very crazy girls we love from Nagoya called happanouragawa sisters. They have a myspace page too. myspace.com/happanouragawasisters There songs and shows are really great!
And, they are also in another one of our favorite bands in Nagoya, jonnoson. Check out jonnoson's myspace too. They are so great live too!
Nagoya is awesome.
Also thanks to Pitchfork for their really nice revew of this track. "Lullatone redraw the possibilities of cute music on "Bedroom Bossa Band", using toy instruments, ultra-detailed homemade production, and child-like imagination as their brightly colored construction paper." 4.5/5 Thanks Marc!
And finally, here are some photos from the world premiere we had for the video at Moritaka Jr High School's school cultural festival.
Last month we went to Taipei to play at the Formoz Festival and hang out with friends there. It was the best trip ever! You should visit Taipei one day if you haven't before.
Yusuke and Satoko, two of our best friends from Nagoya, came too to help us play on a few songs. One of our best friends, Patrick Tsai, took so many photos of us. He is a really great photographer. You can see the pictures of our show here.
And, he took lots of other even better behind the scenes pictures of us surfing, sleeping, swimming in a waterfall in underwear, eating, drinking, kissing, and other stuff which can be seen here.
Thank you very much Patrick! and also thank you to Dizzy and Shih Chi (mo' relax), A-kai and everyone at Umibe no Kafka, and Miyuki and KK from Formoz. We can't wait to go there again one day!
