hospital corners
Category: Writing and Poetry
dolls and clocks turn. eat up taffeta minutes.
hours sway. wait ing for the next cab. cry. city
sky line.
sort ing
shapes. voices. threats.
the end of the night is tucked in,
hospital corners.

lost and found
Category: Writing and Poetry
i never thought i'd feel forever again. it's a big
blue book weighing down this stack
of beautiful.
butter cream books. i am
grounded again and my self. the
flying was in delible;
even the falling. but
i could only go so far before i
circled and realized
i'd been this way before.

serendipity
Category: Writing and Poetry
as i was glancing over my page this morning, i realized that my last five poems are a poem in themselves:
is it possible? how we forget the galloping stars and the greatest of these seven years.
i love serendipity.

is it possible
Category: Writing and Poetry
is it possible that you are both my drug and anti drug
is it possible that your eyes are chandeliers to another dance hall
bouncing round another room
is it possible that i am both light and heavy
that i am bouncing round another room
is it possible that we were paper lanterns
bouncing round
bouncing round
bouncing round the room

how we forget
Category: Writing and Poetry
here we are in our sequestered sym metry. how we forget to laugh. tall buildings seep promises to those who listen. round orange moons circle and circle and circle. how we forget to see this stand off ish trinity. a truncated self waits in the car. a side tracked liasion pushes buttons. how we forget to re member the future.

the galloping stars
Category: Writing and Poetry
we climb the hill for our biennial
gazing. the galloping stars are mining for
gods. in our vestibule of beauty and fury we
cross our arms and legs and implode.

and the greatest of these
Category: Writing and Poetry
the biggest word in the english language.
in every language.
we spend our lives in pursuit of it – of its meaning,
its requirements, reciprocities, relinquishments.
the ultimate, unattainable pinnacle of existence.
like god.
like self less ness.
faith, hope, love;
and the greatest of these is
love.
all encompassing.
all forgiving.
all hands on deck.

seven years
Category: Writing and Poetry
the cells are perched on poignant points: rest less. eager. longing.
the space is lucid morphing: modular. modest multi
plying. the real dance: climbing, twisting,
threading, vining. a sledge on full tilt, pining.

story of a life
Category: Writing and Poetry
too many years, not enough instinct, not enough flat-rate move ment. (machines sliding in spartan synchro nicity: a
well-oiled hate. diagonally striking under shells of steel black wolf. jaws un dulating. a reverse archi
tecture of words. a bronze lincoln clavicle staring back with lies.) the narration, a strong wind pushing. cliff by
cliff. year by year. chasing waves and spears and loops of blood. an audience, an elixir, a sounding battle axe pulled taut
across acres
by the hand of a god. there you find your voice: if true, it goes forth to heal, to hoist, to slash, to annihilate. how
long will you wait? how long will you not perform this magic?
