But wait--there’s more... for Pyro-maniacs!
Not sure if Howie Pyro wanted me to blab about this to the public, but the news was too good to contain among just us Lux DJs! His show, Intoxica, airs on www.luxuriamusic.com this Tuesday, March 25, at 9 p.m. (PST)
I RECENTLY HAD THE LUCK TO GO WITH MY FRIEND MIKE VAGUE TO BUY THE LATE JOHN GREEK’S ESTATE. ORIGINAL MEMBER OF THE WAILERS & MAIN WEIRDO AT DORE RECORDS, HE HAD HIS FINGERS IN A LOT OF GARAGE PIES AS WELL. MIKE HAS SORTED THROUGH THE HUNDREDS (THOUSANDS?) OF RECORDS & WEIRD STUFF & WE’RE GONNA PUT IT ALL TOGETHER THIS WEEK ON INTOXICA! TUNE IN OR CATCH US IN ITUNES LATER- IT’S GONNA BE A TALL COOL ONE! HOWIE PYRO

Come to the Sunshine this Monday!
The hits keep on comin... From Andrew, host of CttS:
I have some exciting obscurities and discoveries on deck this Monday (March 24th) for episode 39 of "Come To The Sunshine" (from 4-6pm PST). The first hour will feature a set of 1960’s pop and psychedelic singles from: The Paupers/The Moon/Jan & Dean/The Music Bachs/The Spectrum/Dr. West’s Medicine Show And Junk Band/The Roman Numerals/The Rubber Band/The Bonzo Dog Band/Browning/The Sunshine Company/Love- Michael/The Moving Finger/Strimbling Blimbles/Michael Procyszyn/Tim Gilbert
Our second hour will feature French releases by Les Irresistibles - known in the UK as the Beloved Ones and in the US as Arch Of Triumph (on Date). They are in fact an American foursome who were students in Paris in 1967. Originally known as the Sentries (and also the John Doe Society), they adopted the Les Irresistibles moniker to tie in with a Triumph motor car campaign in 1968 and scored a hit in France with "My Year Is A Day."
Check out these clips of the song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIlVmBDsRZM http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x42xjm_les-irresistibles-my-year-is- a-day_music
We will be showcasing their conceptual "Story Of Baxter Williams" 1968 long player in our album spotlight, as well as several fine French only single tracks (all English language) - thanks to Kristian Hoffman. Lots of poppy big baroque arrangments - definitely worth a listen!
I hope you can join me this week (or sometime soon)...
Regards,
Andrew Sandoval www.andrewsandoval.com

Volcanic Action: Today at 3 p.m. PST!
Current mood: Lava-y
This week "Volcanic Action" returns to Luxuriamusic. com after taking a weekend to soak up the sun in Palm Springs (with a host of our regular listeners). So, some early summer bliss is on the way, via surfing movie soundtracks ("The Golden Breed," "Gone With The Wave," "Follow Me," "Blue Surfari," "Strictly Hot," "The Fantastic Plastic Machine," "Getting Back to Nothing" and naturally, "Ride the Wild Surf," which counts). A mini-set of Palm Springs music is in the works, as well as a mix of bitchen Exotica and bruising Surf instrumental discs that comes with this strongman’s perception of tackling the waves.
