Diluvian production finished

Je viens de terminer la production du premier EP de Diluvian, jeune groupe prometteur de death metal de Besançon. Le groupe a mis 2 morceaux en écoute sur leur Myspace : http://www.myspace.com/diluvianfr . Je vous en conseille grandement l'écoute.

Les morceaux sont bons, les zicos ont bien assuré en studio, et je crois qu'on est tous satisfait du résultat. A découvrir, je pense qu'ils ont le potentiel pour avancer :)

L'enregistrement du deuxième album de Civilization One arrive à grand pas (on commence fin juillet), ainsi que d'autres projets dans mon studio à venir. N'hésitez pas, si vous êtes dans un groupe, à me contacter si vous êtes intéressés. Et dès que j'ai un moment (ça veut dire "dès que je me serai assez motivé"), un site Myspace dédié au studio verra le jour.

I just finished the production of Diluvian's first EP. They're a very promising young death metal band from Besançon, France. They uploaded 2 tracks on their myspace : http://www.myspace.com/diluvianfr . You should definitely check'em out.

The tunes are good, the musicians held their own in the studio, and I think we're all pretty satisfied with the end result. I think they have the potential to go further :)

The recordings for Civilization One's second album are fast approaching (we're beginning at the end of July), and I have more projects coming up in my studio. If you're in a band and interested by recording/mix/mastering (in any sort of combination), don't hesitate to hit me up. And as soon as I have some time (which really means "as soon as I kick my ass hard enough that I get around to do it"), there'll be a Myspace page dedicated to the studio.

Studio PE up and running. First recording session done / Studio PE, premier enregistrement

Hey everybody,

As I told earlier, I've been working on getting my studio done here in my town of Besançon. The work is done, the equipment plugged, and the first recording session occurred these last days with Max (drummer from Maladaptive). We recorded drums for a few Maladaptive songs. Here are a couple of pics !

Comme je l'avais annoncé, j'ai passé les derniers temps à achever la construction de mon studio dans ma ville de Besançon, qui est maintenant prêt. Max (batteur de Maladaptive) est venu ces derniers jours pour mettre en boîte des prises de batterie, et voilà quelques clichés !

Civilization One - Album ready !

My dear friends,

I'm back from a little trip in the countryside near Frankfurt to attend the final mixing stage of Civilization One's debut album "Revolution Rising". As mentionned earlier, we produced the album ourselves in different studios (Al and Luca in Italy, Chity in Germany and myself here in my home studio), but the mix was done by Markus Teske (Vanden Plas, Symphony X etc.). So I was over at his Bazement Studio to work on the final thing. Markus is a great professionnal, extremely competent and with a fantastic ear. We paid attention to many little details and made sure the sound was alive and kicking. In the end I have to say I'm happy about the result.

So finally, the album will be released end of june/beginning of july (I don't have the exact date as I'm writing this) by Metal Heaven Records. Everything is now ready, the label just has to deliver everything to the medias and to the stores. Now I can't wait to hit the stages after the first show at the Progpower UK preparty !

Can't wait for all of you to listen to it and give us your impressions ! In the meantime, we'll probably add some songs here on Myspace :)

Next time I'll talk about other things I'm doing at the moment and of course about Maladaptive, as things are moving on this end too. Will the debut album finally see the light of day ? Yes ladies and gentlemen, I think so

In the meantime, don't forget Jerry's wise words.

Back from the UK

Hey there,

I'm now back from the UK after a quite busy weekend. Lots of traveling, but it was worth it. With Civilization One, we played our first show there in Cheltenham, at the Progpower UK preparty. It was in a really cool little venue called "the night owl". We played with 2 great bands and great guys, Soliloquy and Son Of A Science. You kicked ass, brothers ! Best of luck for the future !

As for ourselves, it was our first, and we had only been able to rehearse once. So, I can't say we were the tightest band to ever walk the earth on that day, Metallica era '91 doesn't have to worry about that, but we certainly made up for it with energy and passion. And I think it worked. I didn't expect such a reaction from the audience. Most seem to enjoy it. So I think all in all we couldn't have dreamt of a better way to start our live career ! Because believe me, Civilization One will hit some stages this year ! The album is gonna be released in June through Metal Heaven, and we intend on setting fire to a few stages in 2007 !

We stayed over in Cheltenham for the actual festival happening the day after in a huge venue. Great people, great bands, made a lot of contacts, met wonderful people. Now that's what music's all about, folks ! I love it :)

CIVILIZATION ONE signs with Metal Heaven Records

CIVILIZATION ONE, an international musical entity which features in its ranks vocalist Chity Somapala (ex-FIREWIND, AVALON), guitarist Aldo Lanobile (SECRET SPHERE), drummer Luca Cartasegna (ex-SECRET SPHERE), and bassist Pierre-Emmanuel Pélisson (MALADAPTIVE; ex-HEAVENLY), has signed a deal with Metal Heaven Records (RIOT, WINTERS BANE, BLOODBOUND, CLOUDSCAPE, CHRIS CAFFERY, ALTARIA, etc.). The group's debut album, "Revolution Rising", will be released in June.

CIVILIZATION ONE produced itself and recorded "Revolution Rising" at studios in France, Italy, and Germany, with mixing and mastering by Markus Teske (VANDEN PLAS, DOMINICI, SYMPHONY X) at Bazement Studios in Germany. The CD will feature 10 songs, including "Life of Agony", "Legends of the Past (Carry On)", and "Time Will Tell".
