The Sims content now available!

Hey guys,

A brand new website has launched from CILM where you can purchase legal artwork for use in The Sims! Heres a press release:

___________________________________________________________

CILM announces a new website that offers legal image licensing to Sims
Gamers

Creative Image Licensing and Management (CILM) announces that they
have now made it possible for Sims Gamers to legally purchase the
usage of artists' digital images. The web site, CILM Sim Nation (www.cilmsimnation.com
), offers artist tube and image packages for custom content makers to
use in their Sims games. Some of those artists include: Anthony
Guerra, Olivia, Joel Adams, Jennifer Janesko, Matt Busch, Ted Hammond,
Mark Wasyl and many more with more added to the web site frequently.
The art available can be used to make clothing for your Sims and
furnishings, wall paper, floors and paintings for your Sim's homes.
Even the smallest Sims house can look high dollar with an Olivia
painting on the wall!

CILM Sims Nation makes it easy to purchase art for your content by
using an easy-to-use web site interface with a FAQ's section,
different ordering options, and legal licensing that allows you to
create and share your Sims custom content creations with those gamers
that love your creations. Artist packages, at CILM Sims Nation, are
clearly visible and contain images as the artists created them and the
same image professionally tubed for ease of use. Also, you can show
off your content making ability by entering special content contests.
If you love making content you can also get information about being a
custom content maker for CILM Sims Nation. You can check out how at
http://www.cilmsimsnation.com
. CILM Sims Nation is sure to make your Sims the envy of the
community!

Let me know what you guys think, and if this is something you're into please let me know!

PS. In other news after an amazing 2 month venture to the United States I leave back for Australia on Monday 1st September.

Supposedly. Most of us know about Hurricane Gustav by now and its estimated to arrive on Tuesday morning. (If it sticks to the forecasted path)
I'm a little unsure if I will be getting my flight as New Orleans are planning to have a mandatory evacuation in the near future. (Depending where it heads)

Everything is up in the air right now.. no pun intended HA..
But anyway, thought I'd update you all and I'll check back soon!

Thanks people!

Marty

San Diego Comic Con 2008

Finally, I will be going.
I am excited and angry.

Excited because its something I've wanted to do for a long, long time.
And angry because I am only going to be there as a guest.

I tried to have something organised and get a table ready for this but there just wasnt enough time to get my project finished, and not enough money to do what I wanted to do.

Maybe I didnt try hard enough, I'm unsure.

I know its going to be an amazing experience, and sitting here writing this in America at my girlfriends house is a miracle in itself.

So I really wish I had a booth at the con, it would be really nice to meet some of you. Not happening this year, but I am meeting up with a few people who have commissioned some artwork, so if you want something signed I can give you my cell number and we could organise somewhere to meet.

If not I'll be running around in awe anyway :D

Personal Commissions!
Category: Jobs, Work, Careers

I have been doing some personal commissions lately via my website
which has been great so far, I am basically trying to save some extra money for my trip to America this July.

In the past I have usually ignored doing non-comercial commissions mainly out of fear of being messed around, or having to draw something really silly. :P

But I am enjoying it so far, and it seems the people are enjoying there artwork too!
So, I thought I'd shout out to my peeps on myspace and maybe expand the clientele!

Heres some snapshots of the latest commissions:

I am doing original and digital artwork, so if you have anything in mind head on over to my website and visit the contact page, there you will find a commission form to fill out and we will get back to you with a quote asap.

Thanks for reading!

Marty

Change is coming our way (from every angle)
Current mood: grateful

Its hard to know where to start really, so much has happened so fast.
But I figure its time to update this a little, and let you know I am still here.

This second half of 2007 seems to be rushing in new experiences, new possibilities, new friends, and new love.

I flew up to brisbane in august for a suicide girls meet-up. I chat with a bunch of the folk on there and they had this massive event organised; a Wild West Themed Ball.
We hired out a big hall, and had bands, poker tables and drinks. A great night I must say, and ontop of that we all had apartment hotels to go back to, where the party continued for another couple of days. Brisbane is an awesome place.

Heres a girl I did for the Ball posters:

I cant believe the contrast in weather though. I mean I got on a plane in melbourne.. freezing cold and raining.. a few hours later I landed in Brisbane to sunshine and humidity, it was amazing.

I met some great people that weekend, in-particular Christian, ( who is such an awesome guy, and does some amazing design/graphic stuff) and Karen and Ben a lovely couple who are just fucking awesome.

Of course I return home and things get back in to a normal routine, until another online friend (well, more of an online romantic friend) gave me the news she was travelling overseas.. to australia! I had a bout a week to prepare myself but I really dont think that was enough. I was nervous as hell picking her up from the airport. :P

But all was good and we chilled at another friends (Shell) house for a day or two before doing an ultimate road trip up to Sydney.

Yes I drove to fucking sydney. It was, an amazing experience. Exhausting but amazing. We drove up to Sydney to stay with Karen and Ben ( as mentioned previously). It was basically a 2 week long party, I got married there too. A drunken Jewish party wedding. Theres a video of it somewhere... Ok so it was a joke wedding but it was pretty damn funny.

Somehow I managed to do some work while I was there aswell to keep the cash coming in. the 2 weeks flew by pretty quickly and it was time to return home..
It was planned that Hannah (The girly from the states) was going to stay in sydney.. but we just couldnt part from eachother and decided she would come stay with me for a little while in Melbourne. :)

We've been back here for a week or two now.. With so much going on I have no sense of time anymore.. Oh thats right.

A few days after I got back I had my best friends Bucks night (Bachelor Party) to go to.. It was pretty fun.. We had a go Kart race and I came 3rd. woot!
And I think for the first time my best friend; Stuart, got Drunk. I plan to get him drunk more often, it was great. :D

And with any bucks night, inevitably there is a wedding that follows. We had the rehearsal Yesterday. And Id be lying if I said I wasnt nervous about giving a speech. I'm the best man, I guess its my duty.... We'll see how it goes.. Hopefully not disasterous.

So at the present time, I have 4 jobs due this week, the wedding is on saturday. another 3 jobs the week after, and then my sisters birthday and at some stage around then Hannah and I will drive back up to Sydney to see Karen and Ben ( we cant get enough of them). Also there is the Supernova Expo Happening in Sydney on Oct 12-14 so if anyone is going look out for a couple of short people. Thats us ;)

So I guess Thats what has been happening for me. Like I said, everything is happening at once. Experiences requiring my attention coming in from all angles.
I am a little overwhelmed with it all. Almost dizzy. But you know what?

This is living. This is experiencing life, something I've been longing for.
Part of me is anticipating getting back to my regular 'routine'. But I think I am only feeling that way because its safe. It's what I am used to.

Apart from whats listed, I dont know what the future holds in store for me. But I'm going to trust and have faith that its a path I must follow, no matter the ups and downs, victories and failures, arrivals and departures.

It's all part of life, and I'm going to embrace it all, for all its worth.

From the bottom of the sea.
Current mood: hungry

Last night, I had a bit to much drink and spilt candle wax all over my keyboard.
It looks very suspect.

I'm currently working on a few artworks that I plan to throw on E-bay, I might also have a look around for some old originals that I can get rid of too.
Basically, my goal is to raise enough funds to get myself over to San Diego next month for comicon. I know I have left it incredibly late (like most things) but its a goal, and I happy with it being just that even if it doesnt eventuate.

For too long I've floated around, forgetting about my goals.. I guess life sometimes throws major obstacles in your path and you can either let them crush you, or rise against them maybe with some lessons learned..

I need to keep reminding myself that I am still young, it is not too late to chase my dreams. Well anyhoo, here a quick drawing of Wildy I did the other week.
