Here we have a track from Matteo Monero, a new name in my book, that apparently caught the ears of the guys at Italian digi-label LDU. The remix here was named the 'LDU Alliance mix' and this creature certainly tries to live up to its name.

It all starts with a fat kick which is joined by some swirling electronic sounds and some distorted monotone-by-choice synth work that carries the track during its significant moments, helped by a one-string bass repetition that creates a solid background for the evolution of the track. Just as I was about to say that this gets a bit too repetitive in an 'electro-prog-tech' manner, some big electro stabs join and give a much needed breath of fresh air to this track. Right in the middle of the track comes a breakdown that certainly wasn't what I would have expected and I could say it was a bit disappointing too. But after that, as it continues to build the same druggy electro-ish soundscape, a deep echoed repetitive vocal saying "somebody help me" adds a new flavour to the track.

Although I can't say that technically speaking it has what it takes completely, the track has some interesting elements. This could be a nice addition for the 'electro-prog-tech' heads out there and shows that LDU are certainly showing signs of growing into a label that supports this freshly sounding kind of music.
