Choices....

I have been thinking a great deal recently. Or, as one of my friends calls it, "stuck in my own head". (Just as an aside, is it being stuck in your own head if you are thinking about your place in the world? I'll save that for another time). I have a friend who is going through my school, and she already has a western medical doctorate. I finally asked her, why are you doing this? Going through this hell? Because trust me, the demands made on the students are huge. And she told me she wants to improve the standing of Chinese Medicine. I have come to the decision that when I finish this course of schooling, I am going to go into practice for myself for a year or so, and may actually continue schooling after that. It really depends on how everything works out. I also realized, at some point I am going to have to chose between two things, making a huge amount of money off of my medicine, or standing for what I believe in. I think I will stand for what I believe in, which I am discovering new parts of every day.

Sometimes....

I feel like certain instructors have it out for me. I have an instructor that seems to want to make my life miserable. I had three different instructors for my case study series of classes. Two of them are really good, and like me, and one is of questionable ability to communicate, and hates me with a passion that I just don't understand. The teacher that doesn't like me gave me a C for her section, one of the other teachers gave me an A, the other gave me a B-. Now, you would think that this should average out to a B or something close, but unfortunately, the teacher that doesn't like me counted the C as a no pass grade, IE she is counting the C as a fail. And, she seems to have a stranglehold on the administration, and is the final arbiter of the cumulative grade, landing me with a C in the series. This is mighty messed up, and I think totally unfair. I can't believe the grading situation at this school, and I want something more than a barely passing grade. Unforgivable and unacceptable.

Damn it, world...why?

If it isn't one thing, it's another. People close to me are going through some terrible shit, and that means that I am also. Why won't the world just give the people I love a break, I mean, I don't need any special dispensation, but my loved ones just don't deserve this kind of shit.

Late...and not showing up...

Due to my inability to get to sleep at a fucking normal hour...(I don't know what is wrong with me) I keep missing out on stuff, in any case, I was double booked anyway, should probably got to work instead, and so I am off for work...man, I am in need of some fixing, someone needs to fix me, or I need to fix myself, the late nights aren't good.

It's going to be really hard for me to pay my bills and my rent this month, I haven't felt this broke and desperate for money in quite some time, actually, ever! I know it isn't just me, I know that there are other people around me who feel the same way (and some that make me feel upset about my finances). Hell, I wish that I didn't have a cell phone, didn't have cable, I would be saving myself something like 150 dollars a month. And the money matters aren't just it. Due to my long time in school, having a demanding job, and the lack of care I have evidenced for myself, I am hella burnt out, stressed out constantly, and feel like I am cracking at the seams...I couldn't even go to school today because I felt so terrible last night and felt so terrible this morning, didn't get any sleep, completely bad. I can only hope that I will do what I need to do to take care of myself and no one will get too bent out of shape when I take steps to preserve my health and sanity. I can't expect other people to understand me and my actions, but I am doing my best to keep myself as one unit, not seperate into my Yin and Yang components, and sometimes I stumble, and sometimes I do things that are clearly not helping me or are hurting me. I also realized that I really need to work on my ethics, I am a generally good person, but I could use a brush up on my ethics in regards to myself and others.

I was pretty ok with my life this morning, and nothing really changed, I guess, except my mood. I am pretty miserable at my job, I only get small respites from that. I am pretty fucking broke, and that is definately not helping, I can't keep my finances in order, my dad is sick, I am losing it!!!! People are suffering, and it's hard to tell the difference between when someone is in need, and this need is causing suffering, or a person is just making demands, and has wants and base desires...and all they want to do is take, because they don't know any better...and when I reach out to try to help people, sometimes they shun me. Oh well, maybe you don't need me around, maybe you don't want my help, maybe I am wasting my time trying to lift you up, and I will only try once with you, if you never accepted what I have to offer, I won't offer it again. I don't have much time.....
