MAXWELL Preps Live Tour With BET
Posted September 26, 2008- In correlation with BET, R&B crooner, Maxwell will be partnering with BET Networks as they will serve as the official media sponsor for his Maxwell Live Tour '08, the network announced today (September 26). In this new joint venture, BET will offer exclusive content across it's different platforms which include, BET.Com, BET OnBlast and BET J, whom which will be producing a primetime, Behind The Tour special airing this fall.
In addition to the primetime special, BET's Digital Platforms will also air exclusivebehind-the-scenes footage of the tour, including performances, interviews, and photos. Interim president of BET Networks, Stephen Hill said of the venture, "Let's keep it real: He's one of the few people who can tour without having new records out. Fans know they're gonna get a great performance. We're very glad that he chose the 2008 BET Awards as the vehicle to begin his reemergence and we're equally as honored to bring him to cities across the country for all to enjoy. Fellas: get those tickets. Take your ladies. Trust."

Since we first heard of the concerts (MAXWELL Live 08) back in August, I have asked several of you personally to share your concert review with The Latest Maxwell News™. Most of you agreed to do so, YAY!
I would like to extend that invitation of sharing to ALL my friends.
Your concert review does not, in any capacity, have to resemble a professional review. In fact, that is exactly what The Latest Maxwell News™ is not looking for. JUST. BE. YOU.

11:34 PM - MAXWELL Live 08 pt. 2 (106 and Park appearance)
Just saw Maxwell on BET's 106 and Park!! He looked great by the way. He mentioned that old songs will be sung during MAXWELL Live 08 and also 3 new songs will be sung, how exciting!! He was extremely laid back and calm.
So, he seems very much ready to hit us with the goodies that only he can hit us with. I loved what he said about his hair and he's right, there's no way he could be an older/maturer guy wearing a wild out of control afro. He's coming with that extra grown and sexy.
So, Maxwell your biggest most loyal fans are ready for you to come with that fiyah. It's all love bay-be.

P.S. For the visuals...he held up eight fingers, had on dark denim jeans, black jacket, black scarf, no ring on left finger <--y'all know you wanted to know that too, also he mentioned panties and pumps (shoes).
Important: He's touring next year, he didn't mention the release date. 3 new songs will be sung - MAXWELL Live 08, 33 songs on the trilogy collectively. But I think he has some surprises up his sleeves.

Well, from reading MAXWELL's blog with the aforementioned title, I get the feeling that ((help SOMEBODY)) is gonna be a single off BLACKsummers'night. That's what it seems like. DO NOT quote me on this, okay. I'm just saying...
All monies earned from this song will be donated to amFAR (HIV/AIDS Research), yeleHaiti and the Lambifund which both help with poverty in Haiti.
I know many of us are guilty of downloading 'free' music off the internet. If this song was to ever be offered in such a way, please don't download it. Again, as mentioned, the proceeds will be going to a great cause. You never know when such things as poverty and HIV/AIDS will strike someone you love and hold near dear to your heart.
No one is obligated to care, it's just something that's done from the heart. So, if you enjoy Maxwell's music...buy the song help SOMEBODY, when it's made available, and know that you've just help amFAR and people living in poverty in Haiti.
In the meantime, absolutely nothing is stopping you from donating at this very moment to these causes. For those who want to do so, I encourage you to go for it.
