This spectrally monikered artist has apparently been fixture of the local jazz scene as a session player. Now She's striking out on her own and releasing her first album Hako a Box. Maya Ghost's idiom, such as it is, seems a watered-down analogue to that of her countrywoman, Keiko Matsui (who played Boulder Station earlier this summer), amelio-rated with synthesizer washes and some Latino accounterments around the fringes.
