I will be performing in Provincetown this Memorial Day weekend and then again later this summer. My friend Jennie McNulty is having me as come as a guest during her performance at The Vixen during Girl's Weekend in Provincetown (*porn guitar).
I am really looking forward to it. I will be performing some of my character pieces and also doing improv with the very very funny, Jennie McNulty (LOGO fame).

PS - By the way - still listening to Debbie Harry's new album - "Necessary Evil" - its fantastic. I heard many of the songs in person on the True Colors tour - the album in my opinion - KICKS ASS!

You guys... thank you so much for all your birthday wishes! I do actually read all of them and am ever so touched that you take time out to say hello.
This year I am spending my birthday quietly. I am going out to lunch with Alexa and Rebequita (her real name is Rebecca but I like calling her Rebequita and it's stuck now) - they are taking me to a great Gay Cali-Mex restaurant where they make excellent margaritas! For dinner I am going to my good friend Kacie's house. She is dear to me and her newborn Stetson is a blessing!
Deb Harry is in town for the evening to do a show - Tommy, her keyboardist (who is a sweetheart) invited me to come to the concert. If I can get Kacie and her partner in too we will do that as well or maybe I will just catch up with them afterwards. I hope so. I made a little family on True Colors - so I am always happy to meet up with brothers & sisters again. BTW, get Debbie's new album - "Necessary Evil" - it's good!

Hi Folks - you know I got on this silly kick of actually doing films for our Sensuous Woman Blog. I can't help it! I am surrounded by people that make me laugh and my film-maker gene kicks in.

You guys - I'm so sorry it's taking me so long to keep up with this vlogging thing The last week in LA and then the week in Chicago and now NY! I have been SUPER busy. But all along, I have been taking photos and making short videos. Many of soon will make it to your computer screen in the next days. In the meantime, I threw together this slide show of the photos I took with my snappy during that first week in Chicago - starting with our meeting up at LAX. What can I tell you - I am blown away by all the support and love on The Sensuous Woman show. From the audience, our friends and family and especially from the true treasures of this journey - my fellow cast members: Margaret Cho, Ian Harvie, Kurt Hall, Ryan Huffington, Princess Farhana, Selene Luna, Liam Sullivan (Kelly) and our director, Randall Rapstine and choreographer Kitty.
I am posting this to tell you that there is a video blog that promises to be truly funny documenting backstage as the show progresses. We started it on the first night of the workshop - August 10th - and as we get used to the computer blogging thing the better the little blogs get.

Created by and starring the incomparable Margaret Cho, The Sensuous Woman features an impressive lineup of the country's most renowned burlesque performers, along with hilarious stand-up and sketch comedy from emerging and established artists. Featured performers include Los Angeles belly dance and burlesque sensation Princess Farhana, emerging transgendered comic Ian Harvie, the ingenious burlesque performer Selene Luna, comic actor Liam Sullivan as internet rockstar Kelly, internationally acclaimed dancer and choreographer Ryan Heffington, New York downtown favorite Miss Dirty Martini, and sketch comedians Diana Yanez and Kurt Hall of the Gay Mafia Comedy Troupe of West Hollywood.
In describing her inspiration for the show, Margaret says, " The Sensuous Woman is an evening of comedy, dance and music celebrating women's bodies. I have suffered from eating disorders and a horrendously distorted body image for my entire life, and I think the biggest reason is a lack of images of real women's bodies. Where are they? We don't see them in movies, on TV, in magazines. Instead, we are force-fed a steady diet of unattainable ideals, a tyranny of slenderness and youth, goals we can't even aspire to, they are so far out of reach. When we see dancers who enjoy their bodies, who are sexy and having fun, it gives us permission to enjoy our bodies and to enjoy ourselves in the process. We are presented with a new ideal, not one that is about dieting ourselves down to a smaller size, but expanding our notion of what is beautiful and to allow ourselves to be included there too."
