I would like you consider me. I moved to Arcata at the age of 5 in 1980 with my parents of course. My folks meet at HSU in the 60's then moved down south where my dad received his PHD. After I was born in 1975 we moved to Maryland where my dad worked for the Smithsonian and my mom taught. We later moved to Mississippi where my dad taught fisheries at Ole Miss. Then in 1980 he got a job at HSU teaching fisheries. I went to Sunset School, Sunny Brae, Arcata High and Humboldt. After graduating from Humboldt I left Arcata and moved to Sonoma Country. Got married, worked for 3 years down there then moved back to Arcata with my wife (also an Arcata native). We both worked at Yakima Products. i was transfered to South Carolina while working at yakima. Lived there for 3 years and had our baby boy. Now we're back in California and living in Santa Cruz. However Arcata is home. our parents are all still married and living in Arcata. Not all that common these days.
Anyway. Consider me for what it's worth.

I adore the ladies...this week

This week I thought I'd change it up a bit and feature in the Top 16 or 20 the folks that identify themselves as lovely ladies from/in/around Arcata, or perhaps those who no longer reside here, but once chose Arcata as a place to stop a while. 

Next week I think I'll love a smattering of Arcata's finest gentlemen.  The week after that perhaps I shall feature folks that, from the default picture alone, one can not distinguish a gender at all (becuase in reality it doesn't matter to most of us).

Some ask, what could I be reaching for?  Am I offering a handshake?  Requesting a hand-out?  I'm still unsure, yet I know we're all reaching for something.

just added a bunch of friends

yeah, sorry, I been so busy. You know. Planning my big One-Zero-Zero birthday bash...

And I have this carpal tunnel thing, stiff back... I think it's from repetitive motion. You know how it is.

So I just added a bunch of you but I am sorry to say I am not able to take the time and leave those pithy, yet thoughtful comments, as I meet you. Which means it is up to you, my friends, to leave me pithy, yet thoughtful... actually, they can also be long and obnoxious... comments. (Shoutout to FREAK N' BED!!!)
