My plane touched back down on Sunday night, as I got off the plane I knew it would be a while before I could adequately put into words what happened over that long weekend in Tennessee.
I have taken a few days and I still don't have the words, so for now just a few notes.
Angie: Woman you are the loudest, craziest woman I have ever met. You always managed to make me smile and sigh at the same time.
Chrissa: Ah my Stepford Beauty. You make so many men (and women) sigh in envy at the perfection that you seem to encompass. I will forever be laughing at (and using) the word "Twiglet".
Tonya: Sweet T - you picked your name well, you are a sweetie. Sexy and fun you always kept things interesting and with those sexy legs who could have expected less?
Squish: It was an honor to be present at your first pedicure. I was even more honored that you ran around with me before and after and never once told me to shut up. You have so many amazing gifts, not the least of which is that voice of yours. I cannot wait for Austin!!!
Vix: You are a doll baby, running around with us on Thursday, even though you had to work on Friday and never complaining once. We loved having you as a part of the group, you truly did belong amongst us.
Cassie: (aka Ma) As I thought back over the weekend I suddenly remembered that conversation in the car about you being a phone sex operator. "oh baby oh baby shit I said I was cute, hurry the fuck up" I don't think I have ever laughed so hard in my life. Thank you for being there, it would truly not have been the same without you.
Chrissie: So beautiful, so amazing, so loving, you were a surprise that I never could have thought to ask for…. They truly do not make enough women like you. When you held me that night and just let me cry, just the comfort of you being there was all I could have ever asked for. Thank you, I cannot wait to visit you!!!
Courtni: My goodness, what can I say. You are everything I thought you would be and so much more. The gift you gave me will forever touch my heart (and other places) and I promise the next time we are together I will not pass out *wink*
Zoe: I wouldn't even begin to know where to start, when you arrived it was like finding a piece of me that I didn't even know was missing. I immediately wanted to be near you just because you brought me peace and wholeness. I cannot explain the bond that we formed over those few short days, but I will wake every day knowing that there is a Goddess walking the earth in human form. Those last few hours at the airport were more than I could have ever hoped or asked for, I was honored that you spent them with me. (I still wish I could have fit in your bag!!!)
Carol aka Gigi aka Sunshine Goddess aka Center of it All: We came together to celebrate you and in doing so we managed to celebrate ourselves and sisterhood alike. Thank you for bringing so many different women together and for somehow knowing it would all work out. I hope your 40th was memorable and I hope things just get better, remember windows open at the closing of a door. I love you woman BFTTS
I love and miss you all and I cannot wait to see you all again.
