Love, Clarity, and Wisdom Meditation
Current mood: awake
Category: Religion and Philosophy

Happy Earth Day Weekend Friends and Lovers!

Once upon a time I worked at a New Age Bookstore and they often held various classes on various subjects and so I benefited in technique and skill in advancing wisdom and knowledge in my quest for self mastery. Here are some writings that I gleaned over the internet that may be of interest to some…

Affirmation

"I am loved and appreciated whether I am with someone or not."

White light is the finest manifestation perceivable by the human eye. When visualized, it imparts to the seer clarity, wisdom and enlightenment. Yellow also imparts these qualities, but with less impact as it is a denser vibration of light. Both have healing qualities, but, as white light is finer and purer, its effects will raise our vibrations more quickly and clearly. When visualizing white light, it is useful to allow the mantra "Light" to manifest as well. By combining the two, you strengthen your practice. Now, whenever you say, or think, the word "light", you will also visualize it. Remember to tie your mantra in with your breathing.

"Love" is also a useful mantra. Combine it with the color pink and imagine your heart chakra opening as with a pink rose, its petals unfurling to declare love to all and everything. Sometimes we need to find our own mantra that means "Love" to us. You will know what that mantra is. It will be found in your own heart.

Practicing these two meditations, while sitting *and* while going about your business throughout the day, will bring more harmony, more healing and more enlightenment into your life and the life of others. Practice it freely. And by all means, enjoy yourself.

In my search for True Power I discovered Wisdom and in my painful enlightenment I was granted Truth and the Truth is there is only One source of Power and that power is within each one of us. Use it wisely!

"Pure Thought is the Key to the Manifestation of all Dreams, Wishes and Desires. Here are a few methods to tune into the source and focus your Heart and Mind.

Meditate and perfect the Magic within yourself;  practice and develope your own technique in mastering PURE THOUGHT". ....ZeeArcTune

People can live in happiness or misery. Ignorance leads to misery. Wisdom can produce happiness. We choose Life or death everyday. Every month we are happier and more alive, or we become tenser, more miserable, and more dead. People rarely die in one day, they spend a lifetime dying by poor quality living.

The 3 basic causes of death are:

Ignorance – never thinking about the alternatives to the traditional practice of physical death and never thinking of our natural divinity and spiritual power.

Emotional energy pollution – we have a natural tendency to absorb feelings, emotions, and energy concentrations – good or bad - from the people we spend time with. Most people are ignorant of the energy body and how to cleanse it with simple spiritual purification practices with earth, air, water, fire, meditation, love, energy, and rest. Emotional energy pollution eventually causes energy burn out and death. False and negative information can build victim consciousness and patterns of self sabotage into our life.

Poor diet - Medical science reveals that most people eat themselves to death. Christians, who are supposed to have eternal life, die of cancer and heart disease because they eat too much meat, just like non Christians. Poor diet kills more people than alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs combined. To know this and understand it is basic to wisdom.

The purpose in this article for you; is to give you the benefit of 50 years of research. I have traveled around the world over ten times, studied all subjects and all religions to find the truth about human happiness - to discover the owner's manual for divine human beings. What I am sharing with you now is the best of what I found - the basic principles and practices that ever evolve our health, happiness, and success on all levels. What you do with this knowledge, of course, is up to you. I have done my best to present my ideas clearly and simply.

I will first summarize the basic rules in God's owner's manual for the human mind and body in words that are easy for you to remember:

Mind Earth Air Water Fire Love Respect Rest.

Now I'll expand each of these words to give them a clearer meaning so that you can understand the rules - the principles or spiritual purification techniques that make you healthy, happy, alive and successful. A spiritual purification technique is simple practices that we can do every day that cleans our energy body and makes us feel better. It gives us better energy and enables us to feel peace, joy and love, and to be more creative. It also keeps the physical body healthy and makes it a responsive and pleasurable place to be.

The eight biggies of spiritual purification are:

Earth purification: Earth purification is basically food mastery and exercise. Food mastery means to learn what our body actually needs, how much and how often. It means good nutrition and as well as fasting regularly to give our internal organs a rest. Vegetarianism is a basic requirement for mental and physical health. Having a personal exercise system is important. Walking, yoga, or the five Tibetan rites are good systems. There are many other forms of earth purification like using crystals, hiking, gyms, percussion with drums, dancing, receiving body work like massage, manual labor, swimming, sitting in a forest, etc. Earth includes also our work, having a career that we love and winning the money game. It includes loving and creative service to people.

Air Purification: You can heal your mind and body by consciously breathing Divine Energy. It is a wonderful tool, taught by good Rebirthing Breath workers. You don't have to die to feel God. Your body is the Temple of God. To feel God in your body is the best place to feel the ENERGY OF CREATION. Conscious Energy Breathing is often called a biological experience of God (Geometry of Divinity). It is easy to practice when you learn connected breathing and learn to breathe from the Breath Itself. The Breath Itself is the Breath of Life which is the source of Life – Divine Energy – to the body and mind. Conscious Breathing or Energy Breathing is a healing ability that makes people more spiritually self sufficient. Intuitive Breathing energizes the body and mind; it cleans the blood and the nervous system. Doing it daily or regularly is a basic rule of the owner's manual.

Water Purification: Bathing twice a day is a marvelous spiritual purification practice that cleans and balances our energy body. It is best to bathe immediately after getting out of bed and it is valuable to bathe before sleeping. I noticed that all the immortal yogis I met bathe before sunrise and before sunset. There is special value to this practice, but you should try it when you can and discover by yourself what it does for you. Knowing the quality of the water we drink is also important. Drinking enough contributes to good health. Most health authorities recommend drinking at least one quart of pure water per day. Check your water quality!

Fire Purification: Understanding and using the spiritual power of fire to clean our energy body is as important to mental and physical health as food. Fire may take the most intelligence to use. Fire can burn away the causes of all diseases out of our energy body - our aura. Fire helps to clean our aura. Fire can burn away the death urge and persistent negative emotions faster than anything.

Meditation/Mind Purification: Judging the quality of every thought as it flows through our consciousness, the Buddha called it the supreme technique of enlightenment. Learning to transform our negative thoughts into positive thoughts is a part of this technique. Meditation means to hold troublesome thoughts and feelings in our mind and work with them until we can transform them into harmony with the Truth. The mind is a powerful goal achieving mechanism. We must always consciously select a goal for our mind to work on. Reaching one worthwhile goal after another is success consciousness. Reading and memorizing the scriptures and great ideas is also a part of mind mastery. Mantra Yoga and prayer are great ways to purify our mind.

Love: Maintaining love and fun in all our human relationships is an important part of our owner's manual. It feels good to be an honest and ethical person. Since we do love others as we love ourselves, love is ultimately self-approval. Approving of the Self in us and having positive thoughts about ourselves enables us to give approval and positive feelings to others. Our very Self is the Infinite Creator Spirit or Life Energy. To perceive the Presence of God in us is love. To perceive it in others is love. Love means spiritual community and spiritual family in which we give and receive support for spiritual growth and personal healing. Love also includes community participation and political responsibility. To express ourselves in community and participate in local, national, and international government is the practical way that we love other people.

Respect: Sometimes we discover a very wise or good person. It is wise to spend time with these people and honor them and learn as much as we can from them. Learning from people may be the fastest way to learn. We learned negative emotions and habits from our parents as well as positive thoughts. I have met several immortal yogis who are hundreds and some of them thousands of years in the same body. They are very, very wise and deserve to be called Saints. Being with them is the greatest pleasure of my life. Associating with people who are masters of what we desire to master is an important rule.

Rest: The Sabbath day principle in the Bible is a good practice, but it doesn't have to be Saturday or Sunday. It can be any day of the week. To rest at least one day per week enables us to enjoy the other six days at least twice as much and to accomplish more. Knowing when to take a rest is a great secret to health and success. Resting is practicing the Presence of God directly. It is a continuous source of power, wisdom, pleasure, healing, creativity, and strength. Absolute rest is absolute power – nothing can resist it. Knowing when to rest and practice relaxation is an important point in our owner's manual.

You now have the basic principles of the owner's manual. You can learn more by practicing them and by studying the Bible, the Shiva Purana and all great scriptures. There are many more principles.

We learn the secrets of Breathing from the Breath Itself, we can only learn the secrets of fasting by fasting, and we can only learn the secrets of fire from the fire itself. We learn the secrets of water from bathing, we learn grace through devotion to God, we learn the secrets of the saints by spending time with them, we learn the secrets of rest by resting and we learn the secrets of the mind by thinking. We can only know life by participating. And it is important to be able to just Be!

We can choose ignorance or wisdom. To choose ignorance brings misery and death. To choose wisdom brings purification and pleasure and personal aliveness. Those acts which are in harmony with our divine nature usually make us feel good and more alive. Some acts feel good when we are doing them but produce bad effects later. To know which is which is wisdom!

If some of these simple spiritual practices are new to you, but you experiment with them, you will soon understand why the world doesn't work and why there is crime and unhappiness. They may take a little effort to do, but they are simple and will not produce results for you unless you actually do them. To persist in misery takes self discipline also - discipline with punishment attached.

Meditate on your energy body the next time you shower or take a bath and notice how different you feel before and after.

Build a fire in your fireplace or a campfire in your backyard and notice how it changes your feelings. Just sitting with a campfire one to two hours can heal physical diseases. It will cure depression almost every time.

Find an Energy Breathing teacher or Rebirther and do ten sessions if you'd like to experience a wonderful surprise. You may discover that indeed God dwells in your very own body.

Fast on liquids for a day. Do enough exercise to enjoy your body and notice that you have a body.

Get yourself in good physical condition.

Read a page of scripture every day or experiment with a mantra

Reach out to your neighbors with love and participate in a town meeting.

Try resting in the Presence of God until it becomes a reality for you. God loves you. It is safe for you to fall in love with God.

God says, 'The wise do spiritual practices!"

A mind expanded by a new idea can never return to its former size. Two common words in everyone's vocabulary when combined into one idea become one of the most powerful ideas in the universe. Physical is a very common word. Immortality is also a common word. When you combine them, you get the idea of physical immortality. I've been exposing people to the idea of physical immortality for over 30 years.

Physical immortality means victory over physical death. It means body and mind mastery. Our Spirit is already an immortal master. This simple thought of physical immortality makes us realize that although death may be popular, it is not inevitable. Physical death is optional. The whole purpose of Jesus Christ was to teach us this. But Jesus was not the first nor the last human to conquer death. The Hebrew Bible is about five main immortal humans: Elijah, Moses, Melchizadek, and Enoch. In the beginning of Bible history, everyone lived 500 to 1000 years. India has its immortal yogis. Every continent has its favorite immortals, including native Americans. I've made this one of my favorite research projects for 37 years. Why do Christians die? Why? If Jesus died to save us from sin and death?

The founders and heroes and heroines of most religions who conquered death do not have a local address on planet Earth. When I learned about the immortal yogis who do, I was so excited I couldn't wait to meet them. Since my first trip to India in 1977, I have met over 8 immortals who each have maintained their body for at least 300 years. People have to be at least 300 to qualify for my research. I know of many more that I haven't had a chance to meet yet.

I've met several who are over 2000. These are yogis who have maintained a local address on planet Earth for over 2000 years. I've written books about two of them: Babaji and Bhartriji. People often tell me that after my lecture or book in which the idea of physical immortality got their attention; they couldn't stop thinking about it for several years. It makes so much sense. How could people be blinded by the death is inevitable belief system for so long?

After teaching the truth about physical immortality for over 30 years, I've concluded that the reason people don't like to know about it is because it I involves a little spiritual work and personal changes. Physical immortality is the natural result of a mind filled with wisdom and aliveness.

The three basic causes of death are:

1.      Ignorance

2.      Emotional Energy Pollution

3.      Poor diet.

Therefore, to master death you have to do three things:

1. Master the idea of physical immortality, which involves living from Spirit, our natural divinity.

2. Unravel our own death urge, which we received from our parents and encourage all the people in our environment to do the same. Learn how to keep our energy body & emotional mind clean and balanced through spiritual purification practices.

3. Learn the power of nutrition, fasting and the other simple and pleasurable habits that give us body mastery.

Mastering spiritual practices is less difficult than living a miserable life that leads to the grave. In fact, true spiritual practices are the ultimate pleasures and enrich all the pleasures of living. As I studied the lives of my immortal yogi friends, I began to realize that becoming an immortal yogi is not difficult; it just takes a different focus. People die because they kill themselves.

The greatest enemy of mankind has been and always will be ignorance. And the most evil form of ignorance is self-righteousness - thinking we know enough. Self-righteous people are murdering their own natural divinity and are guilty of murdering the natural divinity of everyone around them. It is the sin of eating of the fruit of the tree of knowledge and naturally yields the personal doom of death. The Bible says, "God is not willing for any to perish, but that all should come to a knowledge of repentance." Repentance means to change our mind. Repentance is neither difficult nor unpleasurable. In fact, it is exciting, inspiring, and produces pleasure, bliss, and ecstasy. If God made the path to eternal life difficult, He/She would be a sadist Who has doomed us to eternal misery. The only thing difficult about it is giving up your addiction to misery. Changing gives us the immense satisfaction of accomplishment.

Simple spiritual purification practices like bathing twice per day, conscious energy breathing, fire purification, an exercise system, a conscious diet, loving relationships, and mastering a mantra are the basic common denominators of the lifestyle of all the immortal masters I have met. These spiritual practices with earth, air, water, and fire can clean the mind faster than the mind can clean the mind. They are healing magic. In the process of mastering these, we must develop a balance between solitude and service.

I've written many books about physical immortality and the practical principles of conquering death and I recommend that you read them all and use my tapes repetitively if you are interested in personal mastery. But every year I try to put this simple truth into one page, in a clearer and easier way for people to understand.

Anyone can read or have read to them one page and have their mind expanded to receive the joy that this great idea brings. It unshackles your creativity and releases enormous reserves of energy and intelligence.

Is physical immortality realistic? Yes, if we honor the following.

The three basic secrets to physical immortality are:

1.      To stay tuned into God - Infinite Energy, our Source - all the time. Have pure thoughts and Life.

2.      To heal the death urge. Healing the death urge can take us through the most ugly emotions of suicidal and homicidal thoughts - we have to survive the illusions in our own mind and go for wisdom and bliss.

3.      To keep our energy body clean and balanced with the simple and pleasurable spiritual purification practices with mind, earth, air, water, fire, and love.

When we eat food we have to clean the dishes, etc. When our home gets dirty, we have to clean it. We also have to wash our clothes. When our energy body (also called emotional body) gets dirty through absorbing emotional energy pollution as we participate with people or in our self-healing process, we have to clean ourselves emotionally and spiritually. It is a daily process. Spiritual cleanliness is Energy and Peace.

If we stay ahead of the pollution - cleansing process, we become more alive every day. If we lose the spiritual purification game, we become more dead every day. Victory or victim?

One of the indicators is the guru belly phenomena. The solar plexus chakra is the social chakra and emotional energy pollution can be collected physically in the form of fat around the navel - it is sometimes called psychic fat.

Another indicator is stiffness. An over loaded body gets stiffer and stiffer every day and every year until we become a stiff - and are buried. When we absorb other people's death urge, we can get depressed, feel suicidal, become prone to anger, be grouchy, or have violent dreams. Victim consciousness in all its forms is a sign of death urge.

I'll finish this page with an idea which is a million times greater than physical immortality, and is the source of personal mastery or misery and death. It is this: 'Energy becomes what it thinks about'. Your personal energy is the Eternal Spirit - God Within - your natural divinity.

This Infinite Eternal Energy is helpless and powerless without thought and yet it is the power of thought. Your unlimited potential is only potential until it has been activated and directed by your thoughts. Energy is directed by thought.

Infinite Power directed by thoughts of weakness can produce infinite weakness.

Infinite power directed by wholesome and healthy thoughts produce infinite wholesomeness, health, and safety - beyond safety - peace and pleasure. Thoughts of death produce death.

Thoughts of Eternal Life produce physical immortality and body mastery. The body is Energy materialized by thought; not passive thinking, but active thinking; thought in motion. Your physical body and emotional body have been built up by millions of thoughts in action. To be a master, you now have to catch the thoughts and change them with the kind of actions that produce the results you like. We are all scientists and our body is the laboratory. Various nutrients have been created by thinking beings to produce certain effects in the body. Some of these cause and effect relationships are simple and some are quite complex. And simple fasting is the direct route to the purity of Infinite Energy. However, it is also possible to starve to death for spiritual purposes. We have to learn balance and common sense. More people die from overeating today than from starvation.

Repentance is fun! Changing our minds is the great, eternal adventure of all intelligent divine beings.

Playing in your Spirit Energy, your Divine Mind, and your Infinitely Beautiful Body is what Eternal Life is all about.

Develop The Connection Between Mind and Heart...

"Ha ha twelve inches to Heaven the distance between the two... later."  ~ M ~

1. Be yourself

If I make a comment to someone - even though it was kindly and sincerely meant - and they get upset or take offense, is their upset my responsibility? The answer is no. You can genuinely love someone whilst nevertheless doing something they don't like or agree with. You do it because you feel it is the right thing to do, though you still understand and have empathy for their different viewpoint (which causes their emotional reaction) which they have created by their own choices and belief system.

If one only did things others can easily accept then the status quo would never progress. That would truly be a trap. The solution here is better communication, leading to increased understanding of each other's viewpoint, and therefore acceptance of the differing personal realities.

There is a strong imprint in our culture to feel sad, guilty, etc. for painful emotions our actions may cause to others. There's a general misconception that you are your emotions. "I am angry" and "you make me angry". This is conditioning not truth. In terms of cause and effect, it's a viewpoint at effect. Some say that to be happy, only do what others can easily experience - it's the same lie.

The Church teaches "Do unto others as you'd have them do unto you." I believe this IS the best advice, as if you are being ethical - acting from integrity, being true to your self - then it's going to be OK for others to do the same to you. And if it isn't then you'd better re-think whether you are indeed doing the right thing. It is one definition of a 'wrong' action: that which you would not like another to do to you.

You are responsible for your choices, decisions and actions. For being true to your judgment. For communicating with honesty and integrity, developing and maintaining an open mind, and promoting understanding and empathy. For never compromising your freedoms and rights nor trampling on another's. For always acting from the primary motivation of love. That's all and quite enough. Others are responsible, in the same way, for their own beliefs, interpretations, feelings, responses, and reactions; that's their right and their life - none of our business.

2. Decide what you want

Think of five things that are really important to you: they might include a nice house, loving supportive partner, and the chance to travel, a good job, and so on. Now look at your current life and see how it matches up. These questions can help you pinpoint problem areas:

What are you doing that you do indeed want to do?

What are you doing that you don't want to be doing?

What are you not doing that you do actually want to do?

In the light of this information, clarify your goals. Be specific - before you can plan how to achieve a goal it needs to be stated in a way that is realistic, measurable and time-targeted. Your action plan should be broken down into manageable chunks - the steps you know you can make that, one by one, will take you to where you want to go.

I believe that we do create our reality - at one level, our 'being God' spiritual level - and at another coexistent level - the 'game of life' on this planet - everything has to be achieved through action, i.e. there is distance between cause and effect. In practice this means we do best to 'manifest' spiritually (perceive our goal as already achieved and be grateful and 'allowing' for that) at the same time as we put our goals into directed action, so there is congruence between these two aspects of our being. We ourselves are a channel for spiritual manifestation. Also we need to make sure that our beliefs (at every level of the mind - conscious and subconscious) match up to our goals and our desires. Mind, body and spirit working in harmony.

My work is all about encouraging individuals to discover the truth within themselves - their own inner knowing that is gradually exposed by their own increasing awareness, responsibility and acceptance. When all distortions and filters are cleared, those subjective realities start to coincide with an objective reality, albeit on a wider dimensional basis than the 3-D world of materiality that scientific rationalism is normally limited to.

3. Don't worry

The shadow of love is fear. To understand one's fears and anxieties better I have found it workable to determine what need corresponds to the fear, as fear and need tend to go together: they're opposite flows, like the fear of not obtaining one's needs, whether for survival, comfort, belonging, rightness, esteem, success, realization, and so on. When you've identified the corresponding need, it's easier to see if that need makes sense. Of course, you are worried if your child has got lost and you do all you can to resolve that situation. But more often worry is a result of not wanting to own up to what you have done, or trying to predict and control other people's feelings, and especially trying to please another rather than just being content at having done what you feel is the right thing.

Unpredicted obstacles may occur so it is important to stay flexible and to think laterally. The future isn't always predictable; instead of worrying about what the future holds, we need to learn to let go and trust in the Universe to reflect our intentions. We cannot do better than our best. We need to be open to new ideas and listen to our intuition to direct us to new solutions. Life is a game - think of it like that and don't take anything too seriously. Enjoy the challenges life offers!

4. Take control

Instead of feeling overwhelmed by a task, break it down into small segments that you know you can do and start on the first one. If you have lots of incomplete jobs, list them in order of priority and tackle the most important job first. This way you have a sense of achievement at each step - and you'll soon find yourself getting a whole lot more accomplished. Production equals morale. And if you're living or working in a mess, sort it out - a disordered environment is reflected in your mind.

5. What makes you happy?

Write down a list of things that make you excited, however big, small, likely or unlikely. Then work to make them occur more often in your life. And appreciate the good things you take for granted - your child's hug or a good book. Look for moments of joy and savor them. Recognize how many happen every day. Feeling good can be a way of life, not just an occasional accident.

6. Smile!

Smiling triggers happy feelings in the brain and reduces stress. Even if you don't feel happy or confident, just behave as though you do and soon you will. Find the joy in your life and you'll be more attractive and nicer to be around, people will be nicer to you too - and you'll smile some more! Joy is infectious but so is misery; therefore don't have anything whatever to do with people who dampen your spirits, invalidate your achievements or tell you what to think.

7. Get positive

Write down every negative thought you have over the course of a week, whether it's "My family don't appreciate me" or "I look dreadful." Negativity is a habit and we often don't realize we're putting ourselves down. Under each negative thought you've written, see if you can spot an alternative way of looking at it, that isn't so negative. See if you've exaggerated the situation or overly generalized, or if you are being unnecessarily intolerant or perfectionist, or thinking in terms of pleasing others rather than yourself - the 'should' and 'ought-to'.

The objective world, our playing field of life, is dialectic by the nature of a game, full of beauty and ugliness, good and evil. But the subjective truth of things, the bird's-eye viewpoint, is ultimately always positive, causative and loving - as that is your essential nature.

8. Assert your rights

Think of things which you have a right to, e.g. "I have a right to an evening out with my friends from time to time." Think of rights that every human being should have, such as, "I have the right not to be bullied." Now, protect your rights with your life, and watch your integrity and self-esteem grow.

9. Give yourself some time

Be sure to put aside a little time every day for yourself - relax with a book, in the bath or sitting in the garden with the sun on your face. Think of some things that make you happy - worrying solves nothing. And at night time, go to bed early enough that you get enough sleep to feel your best the next day.

10. Communicate

If you have a problem, the thing to do is to communicate: find out the information you need to get the full picture, so that the solution becomes apparent. If you're upset, you need to communicate and say how you feel. If you've done something wrong, again you need to communicate this. Spot where you're backing off from what you need to do or say, and as the saying goes, "feel the fear and do it anyway". You'll be glad you did!

11. Nurture your relationships

Communication, understanding and empathy are the component parts of relationship, they're equally important. Take time and trouble over your friends and your partner. Listen and understand their opinions. Value a different point of view equally as your own. Don't make being right more important than a friendship. People with a few close friends are more likely to be happy than those with many mere acquaintances.

12. Don't get put in a bag

Don't allow others to label or stereotype you - and don't do it to yourself either! You may have some particular qualities, or have some sort of difficulty, but don't let that define you. There's much more to your life than your race or gender, your sexuality, your psychological or medical problems, your political views, or any other such particulars. You may be a person who smokes, for whatever reason; that doesn't make you "a smoker" as if that's all there is to you. Personal growth is all about finally jumping out of the box that you're hiding away in - you don't need any more limiting boxes to be stuck over your head!

13. Be creative

Making something come to life that you have envisioned - whether a painting, a wonderful meal, a dress, an invention, a business plan - is infinitely satisfying. And you'll feel pleasure every time you think of it. If you want to be happy, get active - at work, within the family and the community. You will feel happier when you're participating in an activity, whether it's just playing with a child or helping organize a worthwhile event.

Self-esteem comes from demonstrated competence. Everyone has skills but not everyone uses them. So use your skills - find out what you're good at and do it. Joy is often about living in the moment, being absorbed in what you're doing, not brooding on the past or guessing your future. Decide what YOU really want and then go for it. It can take courage but it's worth the risk.

14. Be Mindful

We need to be very much in touch with our heart, with our feelings, but still to remain intelligent about it - to remain in control, not driven by our emotions. We need a balance of left and right brain - rational mind and emotional mind, logic and feelings, intellect and intuition. This is where mindfulness and wisdom is found.

We tend to be too cut off from our feelings, in order to suppress painful ones - and this becomes a habit. Academic education reinforces this imbalance. And then we lose a lot of our creative and intuitional ability. At the same time, however, when those emotions 'escape' we tend to be driven by them, and think and act impulsively, without wisdom.

You see this often with kids who act without thinking first, can't wait their turn in line or in a game, blurt out answers in class, speak when they're supposed to be quiet, maybe show aggressive behaviors, are often a little too loud, sometimes fight, and so on... they often get labeled with ADD. They impulsively say the wrong thing at the wrong time and then think, "Why did I say that?" The other kids are asking, "Who is this guy?" and often begin to avoid him. Impulsive people are not learning from past mistakes, and they're not listening. They haven't picked up on those subtle social cues that everybody else has learned, and so they're socially awkward and often don't know why. And this applies to adults too of course.

Korzybski said that most people are to some degree impulsive, therefore there is a compulsion to act or break out in speech and this limits their intelligence. His advice - when you feel this coming on - is to stop for a count of ten to let your much slower cortex (thinking brain) catch up with the emotional limbic system, before you act or speak. He went on to say that many people have an under-aroused cortex and an over-aroused limbic system: they guess rather than work out the solution to a problem, or when they are making a decision they don't work through a list of alternatives. A person in that state seeks immediate closure and cannot reject an immediate reward (immediate gratification) for a larger reward in the future, because he or she is acting impulsively - not being conscious of their choices. Acting in a more considered and intelligent way, on the other hand, will be much more true to the person's real needs and purposes, and therefore to their heart.

Mindfulness has to do with the ability to accept, in a non-evaluative and nonjudgmental fashion, both oneself and the current situation - and how one feels about it. Acceptance of reality is not necessarily approval of reality; it is simply not being blind to it, not resisting nor distorting it. Then we can see the truth. < O:P>

Fixed beliefs are always a limitation and unnecessary - they cause all the types of harm that occurs in the world, especially when they are rigidly identified with or attached to, so that one cannot tolerate another having different beliefs or it is felt to be a threat if they do. Provisional beliefs are necessary, as one needs to make a map of the world, but they must always be open to revision. Be open to the opinions of another that provoke a new view of things, or that seem to conflict with what you already know. It makes it easier to see the middle path, the shades of grey between the black and white of opposing viewpoints.

So, if you feel an impulsive reaction coming on - and you feel you are being driven rather than being the driver - then take a pause, breathe deeply for several seconds and look at your options, the pros and cons - BEFORE you say or do something that isn't really congruent with your inner truth.

Intuition is not subjective truth or inner knowing if it is based on a reactive emotional response, whether a painful feeling or even a good one. How do you know if it's reaction or a fast input? Heart intelligence is about understanding emotions, not just accepting that whatever raises your heartbeat must be the way to go. Emotions always follow an interpretation. Reality testing is necessary, to see if there's more to it and you need to look deeper, or if it's an answer but in the wrong direction perhaps with thought distortions, or if it's somebody else's subjective truth rather than your own.

For most people, their mind moves rapidly from one thought to another, like a playful kitten, in constant motion. Learning mindfulness involves bringing the mind back to some detail of the present moment, acknowledging it, and accepting it. So ground yourself in the present and let your mind become still, by noticing everything you perceive, through all your senses. Practicing this regularly - in times of meditation and in times of stress - can help you keep your focus more and more in the present moment.

I'm not sure where this came from, normally I have the source recorded, on this one however I lost the link.

Who knows it may be yours. Ha ha but it was worth repeating.

You probably won't even take the time to read it all. But if you do leave a note.

Thanks

Much Love as always

I Am Present
Current mood: Philisophical
Category: Philisophical Religion and Philosophy

Your Real Self

There are three figures represented in the Chart, which we will refer to as the upper figure, the middle figure, and the lower figure. The upper figure is the I AM Presence, the I AM THAT I AM, the individualization of God's presence for every son and daughter of the Most High. ..:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The Divine Monad consists of the I AM Presence surrounded by the spheres (color rings) of light which comprise the causal body. This is the body of First Cause that contains within it man's "treasure laid up in heaven"-words and works, thoughts and feelings of virtue, attainment, and light-pure energies of love that have risen from the plane of action in time and space as the result of man's judicious exercise of free will and his harmonious qualification of the stream of life that issues forth from the heart of the Presence and descends to the level of the Christ Self, thence to invigorate and enliven the embodied soul.

The middle figure in the Chart is the Mediator between God and man, called the Holy Christ Self the Real Self, or the Christ consciousness. It has also been referred to as the Higher Mental Body or one's Higher Consciousness.

This Inner Teacher overshadows the lower self, which consists of the soul evolving through the four planes of Matter using the vehicles of the four lower bodies (the etheric, or memory, body; the mental body; the emotional, or desire, body; and the physical body) to balance karma and fulfill the divine plan.

The three figures of the Chart correspond to the Trinity of Father (the upper figure) Son (the middle figure), and Holy Spirit (the lower figure). The latter is the intended temple of the Holy Spirit, whose sacred fire is indicated in the enfolding violet flame. The lower figure corresponds to you as a disciple on the Path. Your soul is the nonpermanent aspect of being which is made permanent through the ritual of the ascension. The ascension is the process whereby the soul, having balanced her karma and fulfilled her divine plan, merges first with the Christ consciousness and then with the living Presence of the I AM THAT I AM. Once the ascension has taken place, the soul the nonpermanent aspect of being, becomes the Incorruptible One, a permanent atom in the Body of God. The Chart of Your Divine Self is therefore a diagram of yourself-past, present, and future.

The lower figure represents the son of man or child of the Light evolving beneath his own 'Tree of Life'. This is how you should visualize yourself standing in the violet flame, which you invoke daily in the name of the I AM Presence and your Holy Christ Self in order to purify your four lower bodies in preparation for the ritual of the alchemical marriage-your soul's union with the Beloved, your Holy Christ Self.

The lower figure is surrounded by a tube of light, which is projected from the heart of the I AM Presence in answer to your call. It is a cylinder of white light which sustains a force field of protection 24 hours a day, so long as you guard it in harmony. It is also invoked daily with the "Heart, Head, and Hand Decrees" and may be reinforced as needed.

The threefold flame of Life is the divine spark sent from the I AM Presence as the gift of life, consciousness, and free will. It is sealed in the secret chamber of the heart that through the Love, Wisdom and Power of the Godhead anchored therein the soul may fulfill her reason for being in the physical plane. Also called the Christ flame and the liberty flame, or fleur-de-lis, it is the spark of a man's Divinity, his potential for Christhood.

The silver (or crystal) cord is the stream of life, or "lifestream," that descends from the heart of the I AM Presence to the Holy Christ Self to nourish and sustain (through the chakras) the soul and its vehicles of expression in time and space. It is over this 'umbilical' cord that the energy of the Presence flows, entering the being of man at the crown and giving impetus for the pulsation of the threefold flame as well as the physical heartbeat. When a round of the soul's incarnation in Matter-form is finished, the I AM Presence withdraws the silver cord, whereupon the threefold flame returns to the level of the Christ, and the soul clothed in the etheric garment gravitates to the highest level of her attainment where she is schooled between embodiments, until her final incarnation when the great law decrees she shall go out no more.

The dove of the Holy Spirit descending from the heart of the Father is shown just above the head of the Christ. When the son of man puts on and becomes the Christ consciousness as Jesus did, he merges with the Holy Christ Self. The Holy Spirit is upon him and the words of the Father, the beloved I AM Presence, are spoken, "This is my beloved Son in whom I AM well pleased" (Matt. ..:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />3:17).

The Seven Principles
Current mood: contemplative
Category: Religion and Philosophy

The Seven Principles

The Seven Principles describe the laws of nature as expressed in Hermetic Philosophy. Their breadth is wide enough to illustrate phenomena as diverse as electricity, emotions, cosmology, ecology, etc. Understanding these laws allows one to use them to act in a manner harmonious with nature and life. Though simply stated, the principles are extraordinarily profound in meaning, and one's comprehension of these laws increases as one attains higher levels of awareness.

For more information, see The Stellar Man by John Baines

1. The Principle of Mentalism

"THE ALL IS MIND; The Universe is Mental." This principle refers to the Hermetic understanding that everything in the universe, matter and energy, is composed of a single substance – Mind. Rocks, trees, people, planets and constellations are all Mind at different levels of density. This suggests the unity of all things, as well as the latent power of the human mind.

2. The Principle of Correspondence

"As above, so below, as below, so above." In one sense, this law states that the "whole" of a body is reflected in one "part." This has been referred to in physics as the holographic nature of the Universe. This law describes many natural relationships, such as a cell of an organism containing the entire genetic information of the whole body, a person's emotional disposition being reflected back to him by his environment.

3. The Principle of Vibration

"Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates." Everything vibrates, and its vibratory rate determines its quality and place in the world. A person, for example, can have a high vibration (happiness, confidence, high energy) or a low vibration (depression, hate, fear, etc). Through methods of Hermetic philosophy, one can change a low vibration to a high vibration, and vice versa.

4. The Principle of Polarity

"Everything is Dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled." The law of polarity teaches us to see things as localized on a continuum between two opposite "poles", or extremes. For example, 58 degrees Celcius is just one location on the scale of temperature, the poles of which may be described as "hot" and "cold." Among other things, this law aids us to see a grander, more unified view of our surroundings.

5. The Principle of Rhythm

"Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates." The law of rhythm helps us to see the patterns that are an inextricable part of life as it relates to time. Days, nights, breaths, sleep, and wake cycles, the birth and death of nations, people, and solar systems all follow the law of rhythm. By being aware of these rhythms, we are able to make decisions, form and break habits, and see the possible outcomes of actions, and understand the world in which we live.

6. The Principle of Cause and Effect

"Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law." We learn through this that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. There is no phenomenon which does not have a cause, or which is not the effect of something else. By carefully studying life with this law in mind, we come to be more aware of our actions and ourselves.

7. The Principle of Gender

"Gender is in everything; everything has its Masculine and Feminine Principles; Gender manifests on all planes." The law of gender states that in the creation of anything, two forces are necessary: an active (masculine) force, and a passive (feminine) force. The most common example of this is in human procreation – a child must be conceived by both a mother and a father. Note that this law is not limited to biological events.

Pluto~ Transformation
Category: Dreams and the Supernatural

PLUTO

Key Word:

TRANSFORMATION

It's taken a year for me to get to Pluto. And while I traveled to the end of our solar system;  upon my arrival, I received News from Earth that Pluto is no longer considered a planet.

Well what can I say but that is totally transforming news to receive.

Pluto hadn't even made a complete revolution around the Sun.

No matter, the aspect and teaching is transforming indeed.

I hope you have enjoyed the journey and found a new educational experience in visiting the links.

Pluto was discovered in 1930 and takes 246 years to go around the Sun. Though very small, its influence is completely disproportionate to its size. It brings total transformations. Drawing deep psychological issues up out of the unconsciousness it has a purging function. Its influence focuses on power and power misuse, or feelings of alienation.

Pluto has a very irregular orbit and can be in any one Sign from 14 - here in the 20th century - to over 30 years. Its influence in a Sign is felt more on a collective than a personal level. The Sign position of Pluto shows in what area of society total transformations take place - often with rather catastrophic consequences. Pluto roots out basic imbalances, replacing corruption with something totally new. It brings a death and rebirth process.

The House position of Pluto shows in what specific area of your life you focus too intensely and have a corrupt or fanatic drive for intensity or control. This area shows where you have experienced trauma - at some point in the life a total transformation will take place here. In this area the doors to your unconscious will open.

The aspects Pluto makes show the most intense psychological drives in your personality. In these areas of your personality you will be most magnetic and dominating. This stems from an unconscious need for control, which in turn stems from a deep fear of being powerless. Crises and transformation will arise in these areas.

Neptune Transendence

Neptune

Key Word:   TRANSCENDENCE

General

Neptune was discovered in 1846. It has been found to represent non-material influences like dreams and illusions. It brings dissolution of structures and represents idealistic drives - both on a social and a spiritual level. Neptune opens the door to the divine, leaving a residual discontentment about mundane existence.

As Neptune takes 165 years to go around the Sun, this planet will be in any one sign for a period of about 14 years. Its influence is therefore experienced most strongly as long-term collective changes. Neptune's sign position shows the collective need to transcend everyday life through the media, films and
