Anyways, we hope you enjoy the show! Click HERE to download the quicktime clip directly! (65 MB’S)

Production updates! - 2008 part 1
Hey there
Just a few words to keep folks informed
Nightmare Kinetics news:
At the moment, production is putting together FX, trailer and titles for a preview of out feature "Something Dark". SD will be shown in limited form for the BNFF festival. ( http://www.buffaloniagarafilmfestival.com) Basically what it is, is a shortened version of the feature ending with a trailer. We figured since the film was still under post work we might as well show part of it.
Though as mentioned in previous news, our top priority right now is the title demo for 2008. We really want to cover the gamut of title variations which has been a huge research and learning endeavor as well. Last night I was working on making letters turn into ice. Which worked out fine, then afterwards decided ...well it'd be nice if they cracked in pieces...so back we go into after effects R&D. Fun stuff but challenging!
Since there's been about 4 months already of R&D and creation, its no overnight endeavor
Oh ya , wanted to mention that those who sign up to be on our mailing list will be priviledged to special offers in the future. Its also our plan to start including tips and/or tutorials as well (so its not just all news). Look for that as well!
How do ya sign up you ask? Head on over to www.eyesofchaos.com and click on the mailing list link
Any good movies lately? - Hmm.... alot of hit and miss - though we really enjoyed the film "Death Sentence" with Kevin Bacon in it
more reports to come!

Banshee Press release - New movie Trailer!
JULY 27, 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE BREAKING NEWS
Buffalo Nickel Productions LLC, in conjunction with Nightmare Kinetics have officially released the first images from their new feature movie production - BANSHEE
The anticipation is for the trailer from their much ballyhooed feature production. Scheduled for release, October 2007.
Buffalo New York (7/27/07) – Buffalo Nickel Productions http://www.buffnickelproductions.com and Nightmare Kinetics http://www.eyesofchaos.com are extremely pleased to announce, after many months of developing and shooting their movie; the unveiling of the first trailer is here.
Caution : Sharp teeth and talons on this Banshee.
This lavish independent movie production is setting standards that are usually seen only in massive Hollywood productions. The producers have spent many hours designing and creating their stunning sets and props for the movie. To facilitate an exciting script, they have chosen to shoot at stunning locations in and around Buffalo New York. From the amazing Buffalo Central Train Terminal, to the mountains south of Buffalo, in the Southern Tier of New York.
Producer/Director Emil J. Novak states - "Rarely does one have the opportunity to create a creature such as the Banshee. In this business Monsters come and they go, nonetheless we strongly feel that our Banshee will stand the test of time."
Co-Director and Motion Graphics designer Mike Bohatch also believes - "Special Effects can only go so far in movies, if the picture is not good, nothing can save it. The better the movie the more I can accomplish with it. And Banshee is one such movie, high quality from the beginning to the end."

Banshee - the movie "Nothing like making a supernatural film in a supernatural location"
1 month to go as the "Buffalo Nickel Productions" & "Nightmare Kinetics" teams wrap up the final steps of pre-production for the haunting horror film project Banshee . This supernatural chiller will be filmed in Buffalo New York's, distressed haunted gothic structure know as the BuffaloTerminal . Which has a history unto itself.
The film, which combines Irish folklore, haunted fiction and a touch of madness marks the first truly original film based on supernatural content and ghosts that roam the structure. After months of planning, the intention now is to really ramp up the scares and dark elements with a style that combines modern techniques and the spook-house thrills of the early 80's & 70's films. Combined with the eerie-ness of the building itself, Banshee should present a very "hauntingly cinematic experience".
The film is directed, written and produced by BNP's - Emil Novak. and Co-directed, produced by NK's Mike Bohatch.
Meanwhile, David Gray & team are currently hard at work at building the menagre of FX and haunted creatures that will appear thru-out the film including the focal Banshee creature herself. Gray & team (aka Anarchy FX) are on schedule to provide FX for a number of upcoming collaborations and projects with BNP & NK this year.
Plans also are underway for a variety of green-screen, post and digital chaos provided by "Nightmare Kinetics".
Mike Bohatch states, "Since the minute I walked into this place I knew it was the perfect setting for an elaborate ghost story. It's a monster film, it's a ghost story and everything in between".
Banshee begins shooting the 2nd week on May 2007. You can check out the advance teaser per the official Banshee movie site located at:
www.banshee-movie.com
Check back as much more information, photos and Banshee related news are added as the site gets updated.

Contacting Eyes of Chaos / Nightmare Kinetics!!
Contacting Eyes of Chaos / Nightmare Kinetics!!
Hi all,
Sometimes I'll get direct requests thru this myspace page, which on the norm is fine but really I recommend you to go directly to the main websites
http://www.eyesofchaos.com
or for film related services
http://www.eyesofchaos.com/nightmare_kinetics/
The reason being, is the myspace - pages "only" serves as a marketing page and portal. I do get on here, but not as often as you'd like. So some messages may get washed away in spam influx and what not. I've found that it gets harder and harder to add to the myspace pages or post blogs or whatever, which would mean I have time to participate in the online social parameters of myspace. Really I don't and thats as honest as I can put it.
I could spend time blogging what I like and dont like in life, how my days going.....who's annoying, my philosphies on everydays.....but really I've got better things to do. And you've got better things to read...right? Creation is a marriage for life. The motivation fuels the obsession, the obsessions fuels the production and the production fuels the motivations. Just when I think I'm finished I'm really only getting started. In short, there's lots of creatures to manifest and not enough hours. This is my life-work.
I do appreciate comments made, visits, etc but the real source for updated info is:
www.eyesofchaos.com
Thanx for stopping by!!! Mike

2007 - The year ahead
The funny thing about the next year is preparations are already in place this year to be executed next year. At this point its hard to summarize all that waits ahead as movies are being planned, deals being made, and every filmmaking endeavor is in movement in various phases. But this is the business of film-making. Green-light, Red-light, stop, go....etc.- in short its really basis of financing and catchy ideas. If you pitch a great idea, and someone wants to finance it - then things move forward and movies get made.
I can tell you I've talked / been talking with several film-makers who I all admire, that are moving forward in various forms that I'm on schedule to work with in various roles as well. It's always a magical thing to rent a film, and then hear from that director / filmmaker weeks later about the project they would like to work with you on.
Oh ya, illustration - the book season is preparing to gear up again, look for many new covers in 2007
..... stay tuned!!

Separating reality from fiction- The Creation of Horror
So what does it take to devise a death, scene, illustrate a nightmare, write about acts of torture, present visons of darkness, religious taboos and generally sites that make a billy-goat cringe?
First let me say, it is an art-form. It is a form of presentation and it is about cinematic experience.
Though the relationship can get misconstrued and how a mind can phantom such visions and then execute them on screen we do it for the love of the genre. We're not terrorists, devil worshippers, serial killers, deviates or supporters of seeing other people tortured. We know its fiction and can live with that relationship. If you consider the end result more than the cinematic act itself you come to the notion that if we made you cringe, scared you, made you keep your lights on at night, afraid of your shower or compare stories of the horrifics with your friends...then we have succeeded in what we intended. Much like a magician trick. We know he didnt "really saw that woman in half, but we are fascinated by the suspension of belief. It's the scared child within us all. If movie-goers were that offended then the film-makers in Hollywood wouldn't be counting the returns in the multi-millions.
While most of us lead pretty normal lives, raise kids, have big Sunday dinners, play ball in the park..etc We know where to separate reality from fiction. At the end of the day we are just creating a form of entertainment that "we" know will not please everyone. and that seems to be ok...
So here's to all the horror visionaries over time who've given us an avenue for release so that we can let it all go and find peace within ourselves.
Are we insane? well, maybe just a little ;)

Updates - March 2006 - Summarized
Category: Art and Photography
Update - EOC and Nightmare Kinetics Hey there all,
Been awhile since I posted anything new here but I thought I would for inquiring minds who dont venure much outside of Myspace. EOC has been busy to say the least, in short I've produce 10 new books covers since Jan, and many CD art/ packages...some of which havent been posted yet. I cant say I've had a ton of time to produce uncomissioned new works, but for good reason Nightmare Kinetics ( a EOC division) has literally exploded over night. In case your wondering NK is my film division for Intro credit sequences, concept art and related kind of work. It's been very surreal to watch / rent cool films and be contacted by the director a week later, but there is a purpose behind the madness. NK is positioned to offer the intro title credits to filmmakers that the high end agencies want to much money to produce.
As of today, 1 film has been completed, 3 are in production and 3 more are scheduled for this Fall. Exciting to say the least! It's alot of work, but also alot of fun......, my aim is to produce film quality professional work to appeal and network with more film-makers who require such services... I've been a fan of that kind of work for years, so the goal is to deliver the same level of coolness in my work as that which I've been inspired by.
My prediction is though that EOC with the addition of NK is evolving into something bigger than anticipated.
Authors: It's been a great year so far and working relationship with a variety of horror authors from all kinds of publishers. I really love the work, and the best part is they are all inspiring individuals who inspire good work. It's a weird circle of inspiration, that I love being a part of.
DVD art: I've had all kinds of contact from some of the horror industries top DVD distributors, which has been exciting...... A few new accounts which I cant mention yet are coming into play, but in short..... great opportunities right around the corner.
Music Acts: Much to come! - alot of design work continues to pour in..... Also you should be seeing alot more full layout work as I've agreed to take on more jobs needing that service as well.
EOC Art Books: 2 are now available! and a big one to come later this year when time is freed up a bit more..., I suggest both of them but especially "Inner" because its quite a dark collage accomplishment
In short, the place to go to get continual updates.. is my main site
www.eyesofchaos.com
Please stop in and check things out!
All the best in 2006 Mike / Eyes of Chaos

Book Release Announcement "Inner" - Available now!!
EOC announces new publishing "Inner" Presenting the log awaited release of "Inner"
A full color release of the 175 page book "Inner" by Eyes of Chaos creator Mike Bohatch. "Inner" is a fully collaged dark-imagery journal.
It has been best described as a "dark reality-based book of madness combined with collages, history, thoughts and events presented as an artistic fictional collection". Perhaps, one of the darkest books on the year, Inner is presented as abstract thought realized into a single work of collected art. Inner was the result of 3 years in the making, carefully collaged with numerous found objects.
This effort was inspired by films such as "Seven", "The Bone Collector", "Red Dragon" and a variety of others, but is it's own presentation in itself.
Not for the weak-minded! Own a piece of realized madness! Purchasing link available thru the EOC Dark Art store (free shipping with super saver option)

To friends & music acts!
Hey there,
The music community has been real responsive and its an honor to be sent so many nice comments! (in fact overwhelming)... While I'd love to have all your business (ha ha) I just wanted to simply say thanx. I've seen a huge increase of Global support among music acts, my guess Myspace has alot to do with it..... but its nice to see as well. I'm sure this is only the beginning - Mike

EOC- more coming soon!!
What's ahead?
It's definitely a weird time of year for me. Why, because things are slow and busy at the same time.... Basically I'm working ahead on big projects that aren't due till next year. This includes CD, concept art for various films, my second book release "Inner" and various other preparation projects in regards to marketing, Haunted Attractions, merchandising and so on.... This kind of practice is necessary to prepare for what's in store. More word on several more book covers are in the que and so as Christmas is a time for relaxing.... as they say no rest for the wicked.....
Why prepare a second book release so soon after just releasing 1? "Inner" is a project I've shelved for far too long, due to flaky publishers and delays. So as I've always discovered.... you want something done, do it yourself, right? I've actually found a print on demand publisher that seems reasonable enough to offer as a solution to those who wish to own a copy. "Inner" was always meant to be presented in color, so no other option is acceptable.... I'm working on reformatting that as we speak and hope to present news on that with the new year....stay tuned!
