Italian Americans
Category: Writing and Poetry

They're annoying and ethnocentric
Stereotypically deemed big slobs
And they'll always remind you
How they're connected to the mob

With obnoxious tones
They cook wonderful pasta
Hanging in the kitchen
Is a picture of Frank Sinatra

Covered in hair
Like the neanderthals
Their slicked back hair
Smells like olive oil and meatballs

Like anything else
They get real pissed
If you quote a history book
That says their race is mixed

They'll never fail to remind you
Of past glories of Rome
As if it related to the present
A dia mia, send them back home

The Fools Dream - old poem from ’99
Category: Writing and Poetry

O' following the insane to our birth
Brings us back to the beginning
Felling the demon with our mirth

Before I leave this place
I'd like to see your silky face
A dream of your warm embrace
Feeling the fire in your heart
Feeling the fire in your hair
Torn from my golden lair

Lady tell me of your gold
That place you softly go,
That ripped me down
And left me cold

Dark rivers flow at the ruined home
Up on the cliff where Yama hides
Nine skeptics murdered the soul of wood and stream
I want to hold you closely
But you'll never be beside me

I wear all these scars
And cannot see
Fulfill my fantasy
Meet me while I dream

Twighlight of Teutobergerwald
Current mood: drained
Category: Writing and Poetry

All that remains
Is the whisper of the wind
The sway of the trees
The curious deer
Who walks the crimsoned bogs
That drowns the golden eagle within

The Wane
Current mood: awake
Category: Writing and Poetry

This world is going up
It's going down and going fast
Back to the pages of the past
Our little gold isn't going to last

Another tanker wrecked at sea
A thousand killers roaming free
One more species wiped out clean
That reaper has a lot of wheat
Cleaving random souls
To his feet

The Destroyer - poem from 96
Current mood: awake
Category: Writing and Poetry

Let's see what the past brings us
An ethereal description brings us
What is it the young want
To bring fulfillment to their void
How they bring the destroyer
To their door a thousand times

My earthened self will now walk into a dream
And see the second half of life's truths turn rocks into water
He watches the genuineness of character and kindness
Spurn the abhorrence of women

The Path of Samsara - poem from 96
Current mood: awake
Category: Writing and Poetry

If I could see every rock
Walk in every wood
And breathe on every sea
I would end my poem

Galatea - rough draft poem
Current mood: Nicotened
Category: Nicotened Writing and Poetry

There was a girl when I was young
Her shy cool hands never left my side
White eyes and a marble embrace
Freed me from isolation
And taught me we were one

I wish to sleep for ten thousand years
So many years to awake me
Until Elysium I'll find

She saw me pining near the gallows
And we danced away our solitude
We danced to love and forgot our shadows
Forgot our lives in a smile

I'm transcending my fall from grace
Loneliness from up above
Can bring both heaven and hell
Let me fill my void with her love

Again I see that all too familiar pale face
The darkest reaver of this land
His plague comforts those of loss
Allowed him in by my own hand

We'll dance through the night
Our binding passion, let's our feelings go
Laughing in the moonlight
Let me stay here a little while
Our short lives, just one more time
To dance away, and forget my shadow

Helenic War
Current mood: Caffeinated
Category: Caffeinated Writing and Poetry

Upon a spear ridden heart
Led the infinite into fear
Some crying,
Some screaming,
Some lusting for the next year

Wrought with a pleasured pain
Naivety eclipsed the suffering
That was Pygmalion
For his lover never was

Within the bloodied olive groves
Dwelt the deceased rage of youth
Their passions and fears
Annihilated with the flash of a steel truth

On the path of the unholy
Every woman is a vamp
The Sirens to Odysseus
Galatea, my beautiful statue of anguish

Where's my minstrel
To lead me back to the world?
Within myself, my shadow
I've yet to find

To Arcadia
Category: Writing and Poetry

Goodbye to my child
The death of a birth
I never wanted
A clear blue sky
As I cross the Styx

A death of classification and dualism
Two slavers who kept us bound

Conflict of the norm
Does not indicate clarity

Seeing the night
Through the light
And love unfolds
Deep past the wrecking tolls

A diamond's decision to change the face of fear
Nothing is long gone or past the time of near
