Lemongrass - Beach Affairs (album)
Lemongrass - Beach Affairs (album)
With Lemongrass one of the most persistent artists in the soundworlds between Downbeat, Trip-Hop, Nu-Jazz and Drum & Bass grow up a whole decade long. Nearly any Compilation with the finest lounge sound features one of his tracks. The double album “Beach Affairs” offers a detailed overview on the work of Lemongrass on 2CDs: The Highlights of the late albums on Mole Listening Pearls and the very own label of Roland Voss: Lemongrassmusic. In spring 1999 Lemongrass has his debut on Mole Listening Pearls: The album 'Lumière Obscure' is praised by the press as a “charming compliment to the need of harmony nestling to the couch in the evening and calling after sugar for the ears. …” In 2000 Roland Voss presents the consequent development of his style with “Voyage au centre de la terre'. With “Windows” the next feel-good-album follows already in February 2001. Roland Voss stays loyal to himself with his next longplayer “Skydiver”, too and presents mellow vibes, underlayed with big slow-motion-beats. On “Skydiver” he creates weightless rooms of sound, that can only be designed by Lemongrass. His 6th CD he names “Fleur Solaire“ – sunflower in english – that is released in october 2004 – a title that undertakes. Who put “Fleur Solaire” in the player will see a field of sunflowers whose blossoms are searching the sun like the mirrors of solar cells, constantly following its course to absorb all the energy. In 2005 the 7th Lemongrass album “Ikebana” follows, that is, at the same time, the first CD on the own label Lemongrassmusic. 2007 the wonderful work “Filmothèque” follows up and with the album 'Pour L'Amour' he makes the feat to hold the quality on the level of his previous albums, but to create something new, too. Allowed to love and an enchanting consumption to the ears.

Taste it! 2008 (compilation)
Taste it! 2008 (compilation)
This is a nice price compilation with tracks taken from from current and future releases on Mole Listeing Pearls. 'Trust' was original recorded for the Naomi Album 'Pappelallee' and lay sleeping on some battered hard disk for years Now it turns out to be one of the best things they have ever recorded and it..s featured on the current album 'Tweak'. Robert Manos is a New York based singer and musician who has collaborated on Techno, Drum and Bass and Deep House releases with Jesper Dahlbäck, Seba, Terry Lee Brown Junior, Paradox, Hugg and Pepp, John Dahlbäck, Charles Webster and Alexi Delano. Mombasa is the second single from Roberts current album 'Angel Road' The masterfully interwoven melodies, which have become hallmarks of Alphawezen's music, evoke delectable scenes in the mind's eye of the attentive listener. In this case it's the iridescent self-abnegating 'tears in rain' that android replicant Roy Batty talks about so movingly in the movie Blade Runner. The next song is called 'Ohio' from Khoiba. The name of the Midwestern state of the United States 'Ohio' is derived from the Seneca word ohi:yo', meaning 'beautiful river'. Khoiba..s music is also like a river, with a beautiful melancholy, with many crooks, rapids with deep and shallow water, with riber beds of sand and stone. Ohio is a bitterweet song about a love crisis. About the good and the bad things of relationship. The hightrope walk between all or nothing. The desire of a new start, with the fear, that noting realy will changed. The Track 'Up The Down Steroids' taken from the upcoming album from Dadamnphreaknoizphunk on Mole Listening Pearls. Club Bangahs are Marc Steinmeier and Michael '!BAZZ' Jackson. Marc is the musical composer. He worked and remixed for great Musicians as Eminem, LL Cool J, Christina Aguilera, Jungle Brothers and many more. He had been remarkable successful with Nuclear Hyde which got one of the big names concerning trance music in the nineties. Consequently the sound of moodorama has developed and resulted in the integration of Jazz, Latin, Breakbeat, Reggae, Easy Listening, Classic, Ethno, Big Beat, Deep House. Musical instruments such as guitar, contrabass and jazz-drum are also used and alluringly blend with synthesizer and sequencers. The next song is called 'Who Needs Love?' The Music of Ohm Square is an electronic amalgamation of Pop, Dance, Downtempo, Disco-folk-Rock with a distinct 'Woman Power' flavour. 'Spiel'(in German: game) is taken from the Moon album 'Gorsky Park' which was released in the beginning of 2008. Moon define their own genre and invite the listener to a journey through pleasure, deep moods, delightfulness, sadness and happy feelings. The track 'Speed Of Light' is taken from the re-release 'en passant' from Alphawezen. Alphawezen reminds of something which came into existence just now but radiates a feeling of something which has been around forever. And that is magical and very soothing.

Un Baño Del Sol De Ibiza 2008 (compilation)
Un Baño Del Sol De Ibiza 2008 (compilation)
There could be no summer on Ibiza without new and exclusive tracks from Mole Listening Pearls. The Artists from the label translated again their visions of relaxing, Holidays, Beaches beyond the sea into perfect music. Mole Listening Pearls has always been crossing the borders without losing its distinctive identity. Mole is unbound to defined styles and outer limits being pigeonholed at all. The established Mole artists like Naomi, Yonderboi, nor elle, Alphawezen, beyond new faces on the label like Ohm Square, Robert Manos and Dadamnphreaknoizphunk, create an acoustic mosaic which is constantly reassembled but always remains recognisable. A paradox: although there is no typical Mole sound, you can immediately feel and sense the sound of Mole. The resolution to this paradox is anchored in the label..s core ideas and the mission of the Mole artists. The mission of the artists can be found in their music with the music being their message. The core ideas of Mole include the determined willingness to foster its artists and to provide them with time and space to develop their message. Available formats: CD, mp3.

Moon Audio Interview
Moon Audio Interview
Moon presented their labour of love called "Gorsky Park" in the beginning of 2008 - elements of pop music mixed with electronics, triphop and house in a quite personal and gentle manner. They define their own genre and invite the listener to a journey through pleasure, deep moods, delightfulness, sadness and happy feelings. Martin Lowis -who also used to play the guitar- and Oliver Beier connected their electronic compositions with the lovely voice of Verena Johann and began messing up styles, added funky effects and real instruments and finally arrived at their orb. Alex Jacobi as producer lead their compositions to a degree of perfection which still sounds natural…artificial?…you have to listen to experience the layers of emotions and sounds. If you want to know more about Moon, just listen to the interview with Verena Johann. Interview: Moon Audio Interview; Album: "Gorsky Park".

Alphawezen - Gun Song Remixes (single)
Category: Music
Alphawezen - Gun Song Remixes (single)
A gun is any of several types of object that propels another object or projectile. A song is a musical composition. Alphawezen is connecting both into Trip Hop, House and Pop. The "Gun Song" propels morbide thoughts and offer also musical relaxation. Also in-usual melodies, soft singing traces and a sweet-melancholy prevailing mood, "Gun Song" is a genuine jewel. "Hush, hush, let's get lost" Singer Asu whispers to us on the track. And indeed, the strings that come in again at the end of the song are no longer marching toward their just cause, but exude a sighing soulful well-being like that of the Beast bewitched by its beloved Beauty. After the original single release in spring 2008, Mole Listening Pearls brings out a huge remix package with new interpretations of "Gun Song". Nichtmares On Wax and Dadamnphreaknoizphunk (aka Hardfloor) gave the song new shades of colours by applying teir own handwritings. The result are brand new mixes with a lot of spirit. Furthermore Alphawezen add a new Dub Mix as well to round off the full package. Available fomrat: mp3.

Robert Manos Audio Interview
Robert Manos Audio Interview
Robert Manos began recording bits and pieces on a 4 trk recorder using primarily drum machines, synths and electric bass and gradually began to add his voice to these recordings. Working as a bass player and background vocalist with various bands and projects, Robert began to develop his own style which can only be described as a mixture of everything he was exposed to, and as a way of trying to define the realities of living many lives in different worlds, the distance this can cause between people but also the sense of being connected to everything but at times lost to yourself. Robert Manos spent his early years in Germany, Kenya and Tanzania before moving to New York as a teenager. His musical background is shaped by many influences including 70's Soul, R&b, New Wave, Dancehall Reggae and Classical Music. In 2002, Robert began collaborating on projects with Jesper Dahlbäck and Sebastian Ahrenberg in Stockholm (Sweden). His first full album "Angel Road", released on Mole Listening Pearls was co-produced by Jesper Dahlbäck and Sebastian Ahrenberg. Listen: Audio Interview; Album: "Angel Road".

Naomi - Tweak (album)
Naomi - Tweak (album)
Hard disks can be hiding places for musical treasures - fragments or entire songs, forgotten sketches, melodic bytes left behind. Once in a while someone opens the treasure box and is richly rewarded. Berlin electro-pop duo NAOMI tend to record and arrange up to ten different versions of each one of their songs until everything feels right. Only the respective final takes ever see the light of day. For Tweak, Naomi collected some of their favourite alternative versions. But that's just half of it. Tweak also contains seven entirely new songs - new as in never released, not in any version. Some were written only recently, others are songs which for some reason or other didn't quite fit on their designated albums. Or so NAOMI felt at the time. The half-finished "Trust" lay sleeping on some battered hard disk for years. Now it turns out to be one of the best things they have ever recorded. "God Knows What God Knows", with its angry preacherman fighting a choir of angels, dates back to even before their first album. The track seemed too dark to be included on Everyone Loves You but has kept haunting the duo ever since. The same goes for the optimistically melancholic ballad "The Party", which fell off NAOMI's last album, Aquarium. Other tracks are studio reworkings of live versions Lechler and Tobias liked especially well: 'Singing about the fear of ageing in "Fade Out" just felt much better to a mean synth sound and beat, as opposed to those softly chiming guitars of the album version.' Then there is the previously unreleased radio remix of "Go". Sung by Selda Kaya and later used for an amnesty international campaign, the seven-minute-plus original is included on Everyone Loves You. A short pop version was commissioned but shelved when the record label ran into financial trouble. What's typical is that listening back to most of these tracks instantly gave NAOMI ideas. Instead of relying on nostalgia they couldn't resist trying out a few things. Beats were changed, new vocals recorded, and in some cases they ended up deconstructing the whole thing and turning it into something else and new entirely: "The idea had been to browse through the archives and throw some good stuff together. Instead, we soon found ourselves building new versions out of old versions." They call it the TWEAK. Available formats: CD, mp3.

Alphawezen - I Like You (single)
Alphawezen - I Like You (single)
Machines evinced creaturely step by step emotions and musical intuition, but the humanoids exploited them still as tractable slaves. The machines – and this is the latest zoologically accurate designation for this life form – have only undergone their long overdue emancipation in our day. Because of this, a typical Alphawezen recording session is less like a composer's studio session than a conspirative get-together, replete with elated twitterings and chirpings, murmured and whispered exchanges of secrets and piquant remarks. The masterfully interwoven melodies, which have become hallmarks of Alphawezen's music, evoke delectable scenes in the mind's eye of the attentive listener. This are new remixes from the track "I Like You", taken from the second album "En Passant", which was just reReleased as well. The masterfully interwoven melodies, which have become hallmarks of Alphawezen's music, evoke en passant delectable scenes in the mind's eye of the attentive listener. Available fomrat: mp3.

When diving deeper into Naomi's universe you soon discover a great variety of influences and contrasting elements. 3. nor elle - Phantom Of Life (LPS 3): When nor elle..s debut album "Phantom Of Life" was released in march 1998, it was still kept a secret, that the producer of the album was Norman Feller aka Terry Lee Brown Junior - the House DJ and producer from Darmstadt (near Frankfurt/Germany) who has had a severe impact on the develop-ment and rise of the genre Tech-House. Under the pseudonym nor elle, he stayed more than true to the Mole subheading "Listening Pearls" and employed structures from diverse musical backgrounds: stopping by at Dub and then straight again into Downbeat. This box is strictly limited and will be available only in the year 2008. Available format: 3CD. Listening Pearls Series (Box Two)In Box Two of the "Listening Pearls Series" with ReReleases of the best and most important albums of the label you can find the following albums: 1. Alphawezen - En Passant (LPS 4): To translate yearning and dreams of faraway sceneries into beautiful and unheard sounds is what makes pop duo Alphawezen aka Ernst Wawra and Asu Yalcindag so special. Alphawezen playfully explore the realm between art and kitsch, experiment and calculation, yearning arrangements and hypnotic dance tracks. 2. Lemongrass - Windows (LPS 5): Roland Voss aka Lemongrass has a rich musical background spanning three decades. During the '80s, Voss developed a penchant for electronic instruments. Having patiently honed his skills, in '93 Voss released his debut album, a largely breakbeat affair entitled Succa V. Four years later, he dropped his debut album as Lemongrass, Dramatic Universe, on a small German imprint called Incoming! After a short interlude with the side project Orbis, the Mole Listening Pearls debut "Lumière Obscure" hit the stores and received much accolade by the music press. In February 2001 his fourth album "Windows" was released including the well known tracks "Winnetou melody", "Fujijama", and "Journey To A Star". 3. Geb.el - From A Distant Point Of View (LPS 6): Geb.el, a native Austrian who now resides in London presents his version of Urban Melancholica. He has long been influenced by Futurism, Jazz, and Soul. These influences are easily identifiable in his music, but this music is also new and exists independently in its own right. At the beginning of the eighties, Geb.el started spinning Soul, Jazz and Hip-Hop. The Helmut Lang fashion empire began to show interest in Geb.el. Entering the fashion world, Geb.el produced the music for several shows in Paris, and received credits for his work - even in The New York Times. This box is strictly limited and will be available only in the year 2008. Available format: 3CD.

Listening Pearls Series (ReReleases)
Mole Listening Pearls is starting the "Listening Pearls Series" with ReReleases of the best and most important albums of the label - mostly sold out for a long period of time. Beside the single album ReReleases always three albums are bundled in a special limited boxset:
Audio Lotion - ¡adelante! (Listening Pearls Series Part 1)
With „¡adelante!", Audio Lotion step out into the world and delivered an outstanding piece of multifaceted latin sounds which enthused a much wider audience. Supported by sexy vocal parts, sappy horn arrangements, and versatile percussionists, Audio Lotion delivered truly first class New Latin sounds. „¡adelante!" was produced in their own recording studio with Bo Kendren (who mastered e.g. the outstanding Jazzanovas Remixes) adding the final touch. Feathery grooves and catchy melodies keep on surprising the listener from track to track, giving rise to sensual desire, spreading pure magic and delivering tales of love and lust and pain. Refreshingly different from the wasteland of all the other Latin clones out there. Elegant, jazzy and verrry, verrry sexy. Available format: CD. Naomi - Pappelallee (Listening Pearls Series Part 2)On their second album „Pappelallee" Berlin duo Naomi (Bernd Lechler and Nico Tobias) delivered 11 personal and charming songs situated somewhere between pop and sophisticated electronic music. The warm and touching sound nests pleasantly in auditory canals making the album feel familiar even at first listening. When diving deeper into Naomi's universe you soon discover a great variety of influences and contrasting elements. The songs are intense, the arrangement is compact and the sound distinctive. „Pappelallee" is sometimes bizarre but always catchy, profound but highly accessible, melancholic but consoling. Plus, the moving Electropop jewel „King Kong Is Not Dead" comes as an extra feelgood song. Available format: CD. nor elle - Phantom Of Life (Listening Pearls Series Part 3)When nor elle..s debut album "Phantom Of Life" was released in march 1998, it was still kept a secret, that the producer of the album was Norman Feller aka Terry Lee Brown Junior - the House DJ and producer from Darmstadt (near Frankfurt/Germany) who has had a severe impact on the develop-ment and rise of the genre Tech-House. Under the pseudonym nor elle, he stayed more than true to the Mole subheading "Listening Pearls" and employed structures from diverse musical backgrounds: stopping by at Dub and then straight again into Downbeat. It is especially due to the focus on Downbeat what makes nor elle..s music so completely different from that of his much better known other alter ego. Available format: CD. Alphawezen - En Passant (Listening Pearls Series Part 4)To translate yearning and dreams of faraway sceneries into beautiful and unheard sounds is what makes pop duo Alphawezen aka Ernst Wawra and Asu Yalcindag so special. Their second album „En Passant" (succeeding their fine effort „ L Après-Midi d un Microphone") comprises of 12 songs full of fleeting moments, the basic mood of which swings between soothing melancholy and mellow serenity. „En Passant" comes with such consummate ease as if being produced en passant. But it soon becomes obvious that the album is thoroughly thought through and done with complete mastery. Alphawezen playfully explore the realm between art and kitsch, experiment and calculation, yearning arrangements and hypnotic dance tracks. If you move from disco to disco you will gladly discover some fast moving tracks in this diverse offering. If you like to travel at home, you will find it pleasing to travel with Alphawezen. The album „en passant" reminds of something which came into existence just now but radiates a feeling of something which has been around forever. And that is magical and very soothing. Available format: CD. Lemongrass - Windows (Listening Pearls Series Part 5)Roland Voss aka Lemongrass has a rich musical background spanning three decades. During the '70s, he played drums with numerous rock groups, funk bands, and jazz ensembles. After a short interlude with the side project Orbis, the Mole Listening Pearls debut "Lumière Obscure" from Lemongrass hit the stores and received much accolade by the music press while the accompanying single release "Comme Toujours" turned into a mellow club hit. Even before he had time to react to the tremendously positive and manifold press reviews on his third album called "Voyage au Centre de la Terre", he was already in the midst of the production process for his fourth album "Windows", which was released in February 2001, containing the charming cover version of the Winnetou melody. While "Fujijama," his ode to Japan's highest and holiest volcano, is a soft, melodic midtempo breakbeat cut, "Journey To A Star" is deep, downtempo, and extremely extraterrestrial. Available format: CD. Geb.el - From A Distant Point Of View (Listening Pearls Series Part 6)Geb.el, a native Austrian who now resides in London presents his version of Urban Melancholica. He has long been influenced by Futurism, Jazz, and Soul. These influences are easily identifiable in his music, but this music is also new and exists independently in its own right. At the beginning of the eighties, Geb.el started spinning Soul, Jazz and Hip-Hop. From behind the decks he witnessed the birth of both House and Techno. In these early days, these new musical directions were not always well received. Geb.el however, viewed House and Techno as simply the logical evolution of so-called "Black Music". The Helmut Lang fashion empire began to show interest in Geb.el. Entering the fashion world, Geb.el produced the music for several shows in Paris, and received credits for his work - even in The New York Times. From A Distant Point Of View) is not an album which is limited to one style, but rather a psychic profile of an individual, who has chosen to show us his happiness (Love from the Sun feat. Dian Sorrell), his past (I'm not in Love feat. Cleveland Watkiss) as well as his entire world-view (Schulfernsehen 3 A New Science) in musical portraits. In this work, deep-headz tunes (The Killer and The Chicken) melt seamlessly together with pure ambience (Raindance and Windscreenwipers) to allow the listener to reach an understanding of Geb.el and his distant point of view. Available format: CD.

Khoiba - Mellow Drama (album)
Khoiba - Mellow Drama (album)
The idea justifies the means. Technology is flavour, not a purpose and the Khoiba from Praque is the evidence thereof. Behind its unsettled electronic vibrations lined by sounds of acoustic instruments is standing Filip Mísek (guitar, keyboards), Ema Brabcová (vocals, keyboards), Petr Sámal (bass guitar) and the changeable in time Drumkid. The Khoiba songs are born as a result of the joint ideas of Filip and Ema. The mass established as such is then blended and arranged by Filip, while Ema fills it with lyrics. "Mellow Drama" is after "Nice Traps" the second Album from one of best Czech's Bands. Yet, the Khoiba activity is not only about the focused studio work. The same level of drive is also applied in the creation of the concert image of its songs being miles away from the mere reproduction. Each song goes to the stage dressed in a special concert arrangement. Apart from performing in the Czech republic and Slovakia the band was also introduced in Austria, Germany, Finland, Poland, France and the Netherlands. For the Berlin concert of "The Cure" in autumn 2005 the Khoiba was selected as a support band by Robert Smith. The new album "Mellow Drama" comes around as an epic of woundrous gloomy little stories. A perfect winteralbum within a glimmer of a springbeam. Available formats: CD, mp3.
