CPCCC "First’s" Poetry Challenge w/ Insatiable Jewel and CeCe

It is time to playback memories. This time I want to know all about your firsts! First day of school, First baby, First date, first marriage, divorce, any firsts you can remember. Photos are welcomed and it doesn't have to be all mushy it can get funny or wild because you know that is how we roll here! I am interested in you and I want to give each of you the opportunity today to share with Cheryl, CeCe and myself important milestones or happenings in your life! So tell us all about your firsts!
I still feel the kisses
You left upon my lips
So long ago
The way your soft tongue
Mingled with mine
So tenderly
I can still taste you
Like it was yesterday
I guess it is forever
Present in my hearts, mind
I wonder how
it became embedded
Why it refuses to go away
Was it something I said?
Or something you did?
Will it ever be erased
From my memory?
I still feel the way
My heart skipped
A beat
The moment our lips met
For the first time
I can still taste you...Amazing
That's why I say it again
It meant everything to me
Will I ever know if it meant
Anything to you?
Seen a resent photograph
Of you
The years were evident
They tried to confuse me
But my soul reacted
Recognizing you
Is it true that photographs can project
one's soul?
Maybe something
In your face,
Your smile, your eyes
That my spirit remembered?
Still I didn't want to believe it was you
A voice told me it was
My heart knew
The memories Played back
Crashing one by one
Disrupting what is my life now
For a second I felt anger
I don' t know why...
But the memories kept
Playing
And it hurt
That kiss...your kiss
It can never be replaced
Forever haunting me
This game you play
The way you change
your face
When you appear
in my dreams
Making me feel safe
So I let you in
When your lips
meet mine
I still know that it's you
How can it be
That days and months
Can go by
Without a single thought
Of you
Then to find you in a dream
Of some kind
It's not that I need you
I know that I don't
Could it be something from
A deeper past
That keeps part
Of you with me?

The very first time he held my hand
The very first time he kissed me
I remember my wedding day
to my husband
The second man I ever loved this way
The look on his face when I walked
down the aisle
I thought he would cry
as did I
Still the most important first
That happened to me
Was the first time I held my daughter
How I love my baby
There's no way to explain
Instead I show you each day
I'll be the best mommy
I know how to be
I will love and protect you
You can always count on me
through whatever life hands your way
You are my first born
A special place in my heart
is where you'll stay
Forever until my dying day

Dariverotter, about me: "Quite often I read about peoples' lives and then I think about my own, and I become lost as to what to say. I enjoy listening to music more than watching TV. I love to write, but honestly, I'm not big on reading – not novels anyway. I enjoy working – it helps to keep life real. Then, when I come home and relax with my laptop, I can imagine, day dream or whatever I feel that is creative. I'm not into having my life scripted. I prefer spontaneity. What happens – happens when it happens. I love being married and I love my family. If you want to know more just write and I will try to answer."
