the magic’s in the makeup blog : part deux!

I get a lot of messages daily asking about makeup. So I thought I'd throw this little superficial blog together of some looks i've done, mainly for my fellow dolled up cosmetic junkie friends :) So... boys not wearing eyeliner? you can leave now :) This will bore you. Eventually I'll start a blog of work I've done on others. This will be updated frequently. Check out part 1 of my makeup blog for more looks, all future ones will go here.
What makeup do you use? MAC,Urban Decay, & MUFE are my three fav's...and a bit of everything else..including the cheapest of the cheap (nyx, milani, wnw)..Diorshow mascara is my alltime favorite & Cinema Secrets foundation 500 series (thanks to holly madison for this one!) or MUFE Mat Velvet/F&B. For Eyerliners MAC Blacktrack fluidline & Loreal HIP creme liner.. Blushes usually NARS 'orgasm' or MAC dollymix/pinch-o-peach, Benefit Dandelion.. I use all types of brushes. Bases: UDPP, Mac shadesticks & paint pots. As for eyeshadows/listicks...i'd be typing all day...message me if you want specifics.
What red lipstick do you use? MAC Russian Red lipstick/lipglass. Also, MAC Red, Lady Danger, Viva Glam I, Revlon Certainly Red, Nars Red Lizard. But I rarely ever met a red lipstick I didn't like.
Are you a Makeup Artist? I paint faces on the freelance :) photoshoots/runway/film. It is my love affair, but FASHION is my main squeeze.
Do you have any school/training? I picked up a thing or two in art school, but no formal makeup training. Just by practice, experimentation, my stint in the club scene, and not being afraid to turn myself in to a total fucking freakface =p That's wild! Do you actually wear this stuff out? Yes and No. Some is for theme days, photoshoots, electro club nights, challenges, others just boredom gone wild. Will i wear leopard on my face? maybe. Go out looking like Rupaul? Please hunny No :) I'm mostly just a red lipstick kinda gal.
Where do you get such nuts ideas? My crazy head. I'm very inspired by fashion, art, music, color, pop icons, etc. From japanese street style, to pin ups, haute couture, punk, queens, glamour, retro..mix up all that stuff and hand me some brushes.
Technologic- I have a super old kodak z760 camera. So old, it's discontinued =p I always take my makeup pictures in my "dressing room" in front of my vanity which has about 600 watts of bulbs blaring at me. Having issues taking pictures? set your camera to macro (the little flower) and find some good light/not flash.
Will you do my makeup for prom? Only if you want to be a drag queen not a prom queen...or a Carrie just kidding? i think? My makeup Idol. Watch her. Be Inspired.

a 2nd myspace? really? please get a life...but no really, i'm finding it hard to search through a gazillion pages just to find someone, so i'm giving in and making a 2nd 'private real life friends only' profile...ya know so i can post pictures of getting trashed in clubs and taking it all off on the internet without the shame and spying little eyes of the world... Okay scratch that! soo overdone! but something more personal/friends oriented so I can keep up with the besties. So last night thanks to a certain someone (you know who you are mr.orange county) I got the VIP to Gwen Stefani. I wasn't even planning to go to the show here! Here's my pictures and video from front and center :) It was an amazing show, Gwen is the fucking cutest most adorable girl ever. I can't see her enough!

Coachella was insane! and insanely hot! I'm going to need another vacation just to fully recover :) I didn't think anything could surpass last year's Daft Punk performance, but I was wrong. Bjork proved to be one of the artists you MUST see before you die...and RATM were worth the 7 year wait and all of the groping, cuts, and bruises later. Also completely delicious were...Silversun Pickups, faithless, Arctic Monkeys, the noisettes, my girl crush lily allen, amy winehouse, and all of the amazing artwork and light displays. Already looking forward to next year :) Some highlights for your viewing pleasure...

Gwen Stefani show 4/21 @ The Pearl Palms Casino, Las Vegas
Okay this show was small! Around 3,000 people at most. It was cool seeing her in such an intimate setting, reminiscent of the old ND club days. The production was small, and lacking most of the set. She did a mix of both albums, re-working many of the songs... changing it up a bit, giving off a little reggae vibe. You could definately tell it was the first show, lots of slip ups and eye rolls...Probably the weirdest show I've been to crowd wise. It was more of a 'celebrity meets d-list celebutante parade' for the most part. Among the attendees....Paris Hilton (overrated in person....why people cheered for her i don't know!), Nicky Hilton, Pamela Anderson & Tommy Lee, Kimberly Stewart, All of ND minus Tom, and the random list goes on. The afterparty was good time despite me being three sheets to the wing. Infamous blogger perez hilton was there..much nicer of a young man than he appears on the internet :) Brandon Boyd of Incubus....just as hot as he appears EVERYWHERE. Overall worth it! I'm off to L.A. tomarrow .........For now some more eyecandy from Saturday night's Sweet Escape...
