If you've got a fighting spirit and want to throw water all over people you've never met before then you'll love the Wella Shockwaves Second Life Water Fight – a provocative game of alliances, deception, strategy, great hair and good old fashioned water balloons! And it's not taking place in a street or even a playground near you – it's happening on Second Life, the 3-D virtual world that's on everyone's lips in the real world.
If that's not enough to get you going, how about the prospect of winning one million "Linden dollars" - Second Life virtual currency - and then another million "Linden$" and maybe another one to a potential pay out of a cool three million "Linden$"? Not bad for a water fight where you can flash-mob your opponents, play dirty but stay totally clean and dry!
What Is It All About?
The Shockwaves Water Fight is the first rolling game on Second Life that aims to create a "Linden millionaire" every time – courtesy of Wella Shockwaves. It's a great way to socialise too. Even better news is that if you or your team don't win the first game, there's a second chance and even a third chance to get your hands on one million Linden. The first game ends on 6th September after which there will be a virtual award ceremony for the winner or winning team. The second game begins on 13th September and ends on 4th October and the final game in this stylish trilogy starts on 11th October and ends on 1st November.
How Do You Play?
To take part, all you need to is visit the official Shockwaves Water Fight Kiosk on Sheep Island in Second Life. Simply 'touch' the kiosk to receive a free Game Kit. Put the game kit on and you're ready to play. The goal of the game is to form a team – by chucking water balloons at people – and, as a team, collect the most Shockwaves Medallions and split the prize money.
