I just realized that our FREE show tomorrow is going to be our FIRST show in NYC since OCTOBER 31, 2006! THAT IS INSANNEEEE!! If you want to come make HIStory, or HERstory, but especially MYstory and YOURstory then come tomorrow, Sunday JULY 20th, 2008 at 2PM to the corner of Orchard & Stanton and show us that NYC still has some love for us. Remember the best things in life are SOMETIMES free and this is one of the rare occasions that the gods of the L.E.S. are allowing it to be so, take advantage of it! see you tomorrow! xo, cce
Hello Ladies and Gents! We have been asked to come on our lovely friend, Matt Pinfield's morning show and everyone knows when invited somewhere you should never show up empty handed. What better to give, then the gift of music?! So we are going to premiere our new single, Sugarbaby, on FRIDAY JULY,18th on New York's 101.9 FM at 9 AM!! For those of you that do NOT live in NYC, do not fear, you too can listen live on the wonderful discovery that is the internets just go here http://www.1019rxp.com and click on the right side for live streaming (that would mean 6 AM for all you west coasters, eeesh)! This will be the only sneak peek you will get of the song for a little while, unless of course you come see us play it live in NYC on SUNDAY JULY 20th at 2:00 PM on Orchard & Stanton for FREE. So if you want to get your first Morningwood fix for awhile, tune in, turn it up, and then ya know. . .DANCE (or some shizzy like that)! xo, mw
i made a page today for the first time, i have otherwise been avoiding it, and i decided it would be open for public consumption, YOU CAN DO VIDEO COMMENTS ON FACEBOOK, AMAZING! we are going to make an official morningwood facebook page very soon, but until then this will suffice! http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1370418358 also you can add my CHANTAL MAKES ROBOTS myspace page if you wanna be my friend on here! god! boredom makes you do silly shit! me loves it!
and i'm not even saying them. . . getting ready for our show next week super psyched! playing on the streets of nyc right where i used to get super shitfaced every night is pretty awesome, way to bring it back full circle. it is actually 2 blocks from our old practice space, we can all take a walk there after and i can show you, we can do a tour of the whole hood if you want, or maybe i can point you in the right direction. I think there is some sort of meat and greet thing thing that you can subscribe to if you rsvp even though the show is free and all that good jazz, i will find out more about that. i love a free show, it is hard to get to do them just cuz they rarely make any sense and you end up losing a lot of money to do them, but this is insanely fun and a good welcome back show for us. a ton of these songs have never been played publicly, let's see like 7 of them?! . . . no wait 8. . . .omg, that is nuts. . . .half a set of new awesome songs. that is almost a full records worth of songs. and then there are the standards. hopefully it is hot enough that people will want to take off their clothes and jams like that. i had tickets to go see this awesome play Passing Strange in August, i had already seen it but I was going to go see it again and bring my honey cuz it is so good. But is closing on July 20th (NO FAIR!), might try to go see it again before then. . . It is quite good though. I am going to leave you with this guy: Dramatic Tarsier
PHIL COLLINS WAS THE DRUMMER FOR GENESIS, A DUH. . . . THAT SONG I LIKE, IN THE AIR TONIGHT, WAS RUMORED TO BE ABOUT A PERSON DROWNING AND ANOTHER PERSON WATCHING AND NOT DOING ANYTHING BUT THAT IS ALSO AN URBAN LEGEND, I SAW IT ON VH1. BLARGH!
