Ok.. time for Vendor Reviews

Alvirne Chapel- A+ The chapel looked as beautiful as ever. Mary-Ellen had it set up the way I had wanted it to be (the chairs and such).

Organist- Bill Reed A Bill did a very good job playing the organ at the chapel for us. We did not have alot of time to discuss the music choices, but what he chose worked for me. To be honest with you, i did not hear much of it anyways, ha-ha.

Hair-Makeup- Color Trends Salon, Nashua (corrie) A- Corrie did a GREAT job on my hair. It was not exactly what i had wanted, but it still looked ok. She was not the person who did my make up, (a mary Kay lady came in) but it still looked good. My only frusteration with the make up was that it took the lady FOREVER to do. Almost made me late to see my photographer..

Limo- McLaughlin Limo A+ We used a limo as part of the package that our reception venue provided. We did use them for our bachelor/bachelorette party in March and Requested the same driver (DAVE). Dave knows exactly what he is doing, is very polite and you never have to ask him for a single thing. I would def. suggest using them if you are in the Nashua area looking for a limo.

Alpine Grove A  I cant say enough good about the Alpine Grove. I will admit it was a little hard to work with them in the very beginning, but in the end, it was perfect. The banquet hall was set up sooo beautifuly. I even left gifts for my 3 children, but forgot to take them out of the packaging. Michelle grabbed their toys, went in the back room and opened them up for them. She even put batteries in one toy so my son would not have to wait for me to get there. When we were there, she was very attentive to all our needs. Always making sure we had enough to drink, eat and that things were going alright. The food was AMAZING. I would suggest this place to anyone.

Cake - Creative Cakes by Debbie A- Debbie's cake was part of the package with the Alpine Grove. It was very good, but I think a little too pricy. That is my own fault as I should have looked around for a better pricing, but over all it was very tasty. We ordered Dark Chocolate with seedless raspberry filling and a buttercream frosting. Was very beautiful.

DJ- Jim Censabella B+ Jim was very easy going and nice to work with. Again, he was part of a package with Alpine. He was hard to get in contact with in the beginning. I had to have Sharon at the Alpine Contact him for me. But over all he was great. The only thing I did not like about Jim was that he did not play the correct songs for the garter/bouquet toss. Some of his songs skipped a bit (he was using CD's), but otherwise, nice all around. Wasnt cheesey, but had people on the dance floor.

Photographer - Bryan Slate Photography A Bryan and his wife were the photographers for our wedding day. I had his wife with me at the hotel getting ready and Bryan was at my house with the guys. His wife was amazing to work with. The only thing i did not like about her was that she wanted my veil over my shoulders in ALL pics. haha. I know that is a small thing to complain about but it irked me a little bit. I cant say alot for Bryan before the ceremony because FI was like "yeah he took pics". As for the ceremony and reception, they were very open to pictures that we had suggested. Also took alot of their own. I cant speak for their final work yet but so far so good!

Videographer - Mavid Productions A Russell was AMAZING to work with. Was very prompt with all his emails and phone calls. DH really enjoyed him. He was easy to talk to, and when it came time for him to do his work, he was always in the background. I barely ever saw him. He did use a tripod and he also held his camera. He let my boys play with his camera a little too during dinner so that was awesome in my book. I did get to see a little bit of what he filmed and it looks great so far. I will update more when I get the final disk.

FLOWERS - Mother In Law- Ok, so i cant really post a review on her, but yeah... they were pretty! Very good job for being all done by hand

DRESS- Davids Bridal - C- I did not enjoy working with Davids Bridal at all. I got my dress out of the Store in Portland. They were rude and were a hurry up and get in and out store. My girls got fitted here in Nashua, and it was the same way. I did NOT use them for alterations. The only good thing I can say about them is my dress was priced well, and my girls got the discount a year later on all of their stuff. But otherwise... yuck

Alterations - Fit 2 B Wed B Deborah Clement (sp) was a great seamstress. I did not like the final bill when she was done, but what could I do at that point. I feel that we could have got away with 2 fittings and not 3, but she did not do a whole lot of anything between my first fitting and my second. The work came out great, but she did not fix a zipper on my MOH dress so we had to play with that a little. Overall though, great work.

Im Back, and we're MARRIED!!

So, we are back, and we are MARRIED! It is such an amazing feeling.  It was like, the moment we walked down the isle out of the chapel, the weight of the world was lifted off of our shoulders.  Everything feels so different now. There is so much LESS stress on us that things are going great.

The wedding went off with out a hitch (well for the most part).  There was a slight problem, but it wasnt worth being upset over or stressing over and the wedding was great anyways.  The weather was perfect, my wedding party was PERFECT. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great day! I could not ask for better friends..

I will post reviews of my wedding vendors here as well.  And if you want to see pictures, go into my albums (ok, so they should be up by thursday) and look and comment.

I will post about my honeymoon later! That was amazing too.  I love my husband and am so happy to be spending the rest of my life with him.

MR TUX SUCKS.....

Sorry, but I am just really annoyed right now. I got the tuxes for the guys at Mr. Tux and i just looked online to see if any of them were ready to be picked up. Well things were fine all the way till now. I looked at the pants, Carl, my brother and Brian all have the right pants. Well the two dads and Gary have completely different pants. Like totally noticeable different pants... All this with 5 Days to go.. Im getting aggrivated now and there is nobody i can call this late at night.. I hope they can fix this very easily..  STUPID TUX STORES.....

Less then 2 Weeks to go...

Ok, so because the blog got hacked with shitty tracker blah blah blah comments, I had to go ahead and repost this...  11 Days to go :-)

Yep, that is it.  Two weeks to go.  I mean i am sitting here at 730 AM thinking about this.  In exactly 2 weeks from now,right down to this exact minute, i will probably be getting my new track suite on waiting for Kristen to get out of the shower so we can go get our hair/makeup done.  I will be calling Gina up on the hotel phone to say "hey come down now... we're ganna get going in 10 minutes".  It is just all too crazy.  Last time I updated my profile, it said 2 months and counting, now im down to the wire.

So RSVP wise, we had a pretty good turn out.  A few more then i was hoping for, but hey... that means more good friends (and more gifts from the family...  lord knows the money will come in handy).  I have to actually attempt to sit and start my seating chart today because it is due on Thursday and when i work, i dont have time to do it.  Here comes the fun part, gatta sit who with who? Who doesnt like who, who doesnt know who.. BLAH....  I am emailing Judi the list as well so she can put her people together for me between 2 tables. 

Let me see what else, I have my final dress fitting on Wednesday this week.  I wonder how much that sucker is going to cost me.  It wasnt alot of work but because how my dress is put together, she had to fiddle around alot with it.  Here's hoping it isnt too bad.  I just NEED to remember to bring the girls dresses with me so they can be steamed (Kristen, if yer reading this, text me wednesday morning before 10 so i dont forget).  Judi is coming with me to this fitting to make sure she knows how to tie me up and do the bustle so that way she can show Kristen.  Haha.....  Oh what a day..

Hmmmm what else... Oh our final bill over to the alpine.  It came to about 2800 AFTER the deposits I paid already.  Judi is giving me 620 of that for the DJ (her and Aunties bday gift to Carl).  So I just have to come up with the rest.  We have 2100 in savings, so ill take a little out of my checking and we'll be good.  It will feel nice to know that that is over with. 

Ok, so two weeks...  I have a ton to do in the two weeks coming up, and it is probably going to blow by, leaving me freaking out the Friday and Saturday before the wedding....  *sigh* and this is what i put myself thru to get married to Carl...  haha...

1st Hair Trial Pictures...

So I went and had my first hair trial today! It went good.  My stupid ass forgot to bring my camera, so by the time i got home from going to a zillion stores and stuff, my hair started to relax and it was wind blown... So these are some pics...  it'll look a little different on my day..  She only did a half ass job just to get an idea of what I want.  When i go on my wedding day, the curls will be tighter and look alot better!!

2nd Dress Fitting and 32 ish days to go..

So, I had my 2nd Dress Fitting tonight.  Wow, i cant believe how fast time is going.  In just 3 weeks, ill have my final fitting and a week from them, ill be Mrs. Vivace!! YAY!!!

Ok, so here are some pics. She did a fake hem on it just to check it again with my shoes, so its not perfect but its not as bunched up in the top part where it was last time, so that is nice too.  I still look a little uncomfortable, but I am trying to get used to it... haha..

What a Weekend!!!

So wow! Where do I even begin! I had the best weekend this past weekend. It went by way way way too fast...   The details are below!

So Friday night, we picked Kristen up at the airport at about 815.  She got off the plane very quickly, and then her bag was the 2nd bag off! How nice is that?  Then we decided to drop her bag off in our truck, and then walk over to terminal C from Terminal B... boy, was that a mistake.. It took us a LONG ass time to get there, haha! Then we had a drink in a bar at the airport.  Brian got off of his plane a little bit after 10 PM.  Carl went to get the truck while we waited for baggage, and we got a little lost trying to find him, but we got there.  Then we went to the Boston Beer Works.  I had my first Blueberry Beer! YUCK.. i hate beer.  Brian got a little shitty drinking all his beers, but it was fun!

Saturday, we had SOOOO much to do.  After getting to bed around 3AM we had to wake up and be out of the house by 9.  Me, i only take about 20 minutes to get ready but Kristen takes about an hour so we had to be up by 730/800ish.  We had Kristens dress fitting, then we had to go to Aunties to drop off some stuff for my shower.  Then we got home, and went to the Alpine Grove.  I met with my wedding coordinator.  She gave me great news about the budget, and we picked out the menu and laid out the dates for final payment, etc. After we were done all that, we had to go shopping for the shower, and for some things for that night..  We had an hour to take a nap before the nights festivities began...

So, around 6pm, my aunt and AJ and Lisette and Larry met us here at my condo.  We had some chinese take out, a few Jello shots and then the limo showed up.  The limo took us to Manchester to the Black Brimmer.  I will put pics up later on.  We drank ALOT there and just had a blast. The girls were on the dance floor all night.  Guys were buying us drinks left and right! Was awesome.  We just had the best time.  We had a little bit of drama at the end of the night, but nothing we could not work out.  We got home around 2AM.  And again, had to get up really early to be in Tewksbury by 10AM for setting up of my shower.

So Sunday...  we had my bridal shower.  It was an amazing day.  Our friends and family were there! We played a few games, and had GREAT food.  I owe alot to Carls Mom, Aunt, My aunt and all my girls! They thru a GREAT AMAZING party for me.  I got alot of cool stuff and some much needed $$$.  After the shower was over, we came home and took a nap (well, Kristen Carl and I.. brian went home at 2pm).  Then it was time to bring Kristen back to the airport... .  We miss her (and Brian) already...  37 more days though and they will be here with us again!...   Ok..  Keep an eye out for pics.. they will be in a new post tonight or tomorrow.....

Alvirne Chapel.. So pretty..

So, we had an eventful weekend this weekend! We attempted to go to a menu tasting on Friday (didnt make it though, long story).. Then Saturday we went to our Chapel that we are getting married at.  We got to see the inside of it for the first time.  Carl's been in there once when his mom got married 25 years ago, but it was new to him too he said.  Here are some pictures.

Lets see what else, oh last night we went out to dinner at Marthas Exchange.  It is the resturant that we are having our rehersal dinner at! IT was really good food, the atmosphere was amazing, had a really good time! Im glad Judi found this place!

First Dress Fitting and 17 Days to go!!!

So I went and had my first dress fitting today.  I think it is going to come out pretty OK!!  I was really nervous, and I want to loose another 5lbs before the next fitting, but i think it is going to look good!!  Here are some pictures!

Ok, so the first two pics are obviously the front.  I need to learn to be more comfortable in that dress.  She is going to do something to it so my top doesnt look so smushed together.  The 3rd pic is the back all laced up.. and the fourth picture is how my bustle is going to look.  There is a 3 point bustle.  She is doing the middle one and then the one to the left that you see is how high the one on the right will be as well.

Ok, what else,... Friday we are going to a menu tasting at our reception facility which is good, so i can pick the menu for the guests.  Then saturday we are going to our chapel so we can see the inside of it.  Then in 17 more days, Kristen and Brian are flying into BOSTON to come see us.. WOOHOO!!  Our wedding party will ALL be going out to Manchester and we'll be having a grand old time! I cant wait..

More Wedding Stuff

So, im just sitting here on a Saturday morning watching Garfield 2 with the babies and decided to make a new blog with some of the new stuff I have for the wedding (thoughts, ideas, etc). 

The first few pictures are the outside of my chapel and the outside of my hall.  The hall looks like crap right now, it was much prettier when I went and looked at it back in October.  Im hoping it will look all pretty again in May for wedding pictures. 

Ok, so next up are pictures of different thoughts of what I want to do with my hair...  Not sure exactly what yet, but I know I want it MOSTLY down with curls....
