Bangkok Impact and DJ TLR comin at ya!!
Bangkok Impact (Putsch '79 / 8Bit Rockers)
Bangkok Impact is the nom de disco of Sami Liuski born 1979 near the russian border. Right now he's living in the capital of Finland but before he was living in the cold north, about 800 kilometers up from Helsinki near the arctic circle.
In 2001, working under the pseudonym 8-Bit Rockers, Sami sent Bunker a demo which they swiftly released as a 12-inch. That same year, Sami gave Bunker another demo featuring tracks by his other aliases, Lolita Strap and Bangkok Impact. The tracks were almost instantly released on their new label, Crème Organization.
Though Finnish, Sami has forged close ties with the formidable Dutch electro scene. He has released on labels such as Clone Records (based in Rotterdam), Crème Organization and Bunker (from The Hague), and I-Fs Viewlexx. Sami's tracks have appeared on many compilations and for example Sven Väth picked one of Sami's tracks for the Cocoon Compilation series.
Sami describes his music as "electronic disco with elements from house and techno". Youre strongly advised to find the first Bangkok Impact single. Both tracks, Aspirin and Junge Dame Mit Freundliche Tel, ably demonstrate Samis natural flair for marrying killer synth melodies to an unorthodox style of house music. Some call it his Finnish tango sound. Bangkok Impact livesets are blend of old and new (even unreleased) tracks and is aimed for keeping the dancefloor happy.
Bangkok Impacts debut album Traveller is aptly named, as it finds Sami exploring dance musics past, investigating its future possibilities, and questioning his affection for disco. After the album he has been releasing regularly 12" singles like 'Do It' and 'Taboo'. Sami has also been busy working with his side project 'Putsch '79'. It's Samis New York disco-style collaboration with pal Pauli Jylhänkangas.
Sami has played around the world with Bangkok Impact and Putsch '79 pseudonyms. Among most of the european capitals and clubs he has had gigs in Japan, Australia and USA too. In 2006 Bangkok Impact was touring in China as part of Sounds like Suomi tour.

DJ TLR (Mr Clavio)
Playing punk and early hiphop in local youth homes, the Chicago acid-house wave hit in 1989. Forever torn between worlds, his erratic DJ career got more direction in the mid 90's when Global Darkness was founded. He became involved in organising underground Jungle parties in the totally freaked out and fucked up squat scene of the West Coast of Holland area. In the late 90´s - when Jungle had died a horrible death in Drum & Bass - the first wave of The Hague electronics knocked him off his socks. The tense and narrative style was far removed from the mind numbing lifestyle crap that dominated the airwaves and instantly brought back a love for electro that had been dormant in him since the mid 80's. He founded www.globaldarkness.com, which grew into one of the most consistent electro/disco reference points and later the seminal Crème Organization label. What started out as a little playground for his Mr. Clavio alter-ego soon grew to more serious proportions with releases of Lolita Strap, Bangkok Impact, It & My Computer, Legowelt, Orgue Electronique, Alexander Robotnick and a slew of others. Crème Organization has been releasing on a rigorous schedule and quickly gained a cult following. Some highlights include multiple tours of the USA, Japan and Australia and an invitation to play on the Musiclogical stage at the FUSE-IN festival in Detroit.

Jazzanova feat Clara Hill and DJ Fitchie19th jan 2007
Miss Libertine invite you to join us for a night of soulful dancefloor sounds, from dub and jazz beats to deep house and techno. Headlining a packed bill will be Berlin's mighty DJ and producer team JAZZANOVA. Having stretched the borders of contemporary club music like no-one else and establishing their sound through numerous vinyl, CD and compilation releases, Jazzanova know how to make a dancefloor move and in all the right ways. As well as having remixed the likes of MASTERS AT WORK, FAT FREDDYS DROP, COMMON, LENNY KRAVITZ, 4 HERO, MJ COLE etc, they are also the founders of the cult German label Sonar Kollektiv. Also showcasing Sonar Kollektiv's soulful wares will be Clara Hill (Germany) joining Jazzanova on stage and adding her silky vocal talents to the deft mixing of Jazzanova's main man Alex Barck. With her new album 'All I Can Provide"featuring collaborations with the likes of King Britt, Vikter Duplaix and George Levin, Sydney is about to see what all the fuss is about. Fat Freddy's Drop producer and beat technician DJ Fitchie will also be spinning on the night, swapping his MPC for some warm slabs of dub dancefloor vinyl . . . expect some signature Freddy's grooves as well as a few new ones! Joined by Melbourne locals Kano, Ooh-ee and Loot.
