The Pistoleros Guitars are Ready to Rock The Bayou!!

Well after busting our asses for four days, we managed to get three guitars and two basses ready in time for the Gypsy Pistoleros to use at the upcoming Rock The Bayou Gig.

Iggie’s New Axe get stripes!!

Iggie Pistolero's new axe got some cool stripes today and it's first coat of lacquer. (New Pics Posted in Mudd Pic Gallery) The Mudd Guitars Custom Shop is pulling out all the stops to get the guitar finished in time for the Rock the Bayou Gig. The Mudd crew leave Phoenix for the RTB gig on Wednesday evening, so that only gives the custom shop four days to finish Iggie's new guitar. Co-owner Robert 'Mudd' Mazzullo is confident he can get it done in time.

When asked about the short amount of time he had to build the guitar Mudd said 'Jack my partner always gives me crazy deadlines, and all the Rockstars always want their stuff yesterday. The Pistoleros are a great bunch of guys, and they really needed some help with instruments so they could play the Bayou gig, so I don't really mind busting my ass to help them out '.

Mudd guitars will also be supplying two bass guitars, and three other six string guitars to ensure the Pistoleros have plenty of back up just in case they need them at the gig.

Gypsy Pistoleros to play Mudd Guitars at RTB

Mudd Guitars will be providing the instruments for the Gypsy Pistoleros at the upcoming Rock the Bayou 4 day Rock Festival being held in Houston Texas. The Pistoleros will be playing at least twice during the festival, and knowing the balls out Rockers, they won't miss any opportunity to get on stage. Mudd Guitars co-owner Jack Frost was very impressed with the Pistoleros at the recent Rocklahoma festival. Jack, who is also from the same part of the UK as the Pistoleros, spent some time hanging out with the band backstage after their set. When asked about the Pistoleros playing Mudd Instruments Jack said "I've been more than impressed with the band on the three occasions I've seen them play. They're 100% balls out rock & roll, on and off stage... They're the real deal, it's not just about the money and the fame to these boys, it's about the sound and the heart and soul they put into their music. Their sound is raw and fresh, and it doesn't get any better than that! We'll see how this Bayou gig works out and if everyone's happy, we may look at signing the Pistoleros as fully endorsed Mudd Artists"

Michael Thomas and his Signature Model hit the road!

Michael Thomas, lead guitarist with the American cult sleeze rock band Faster Pussycat, can't wait to hit the road again this July, when the band will start their eight-week-tour through the US. Michael definitely loves to rock big crowds and he also loves his Hughes & Kettner Duotone: "I know my Hughes & Kettner amp is up to the task, it's almost bulletproof, it's so reliable." And it sounds great, too. But doesn't this go without saying?

When it comes to guitars, Michael trusts his Mayhem Signature model, made for him by Mudd Guitars. "They built me three new versions for this tour. They look amazing and sound totally killer through my Hughes & Kettner Duotone amp, they're definitely a match made in heaven", Michael says beaming.

Well, it's gonna be a tough eight weeks for the heavenly trio, because Faster Pussycat is touring together with Bang Tango – and guess who can be found on lead guitar there? That's right, it's our own Mr. Thomas! So, Michael, we wish you lots of fun on tour – and an extra truck load of stamina!

Mudd Guitars Exhibiting at NAMM 2008

Look out NAMM Show, Mudd Guitars is coming. We're very pleased to announce that Mudd Guitars will be exhibiting at the NAMM Show 2008. We'll have our full retail product line on display, as well as a few of our fully custom guitars. You'll also be able to meet all of our signature artists at various times during the show, including Michael Thomas. But I'm sure you'll all be very pleased to know that you'll also be able to meet the Mudd Girls, Melanie and Faith, if that's not worth the price of admission I don't know what is. If you're going to NAMM 2008, make sure you stop by our booth and say hi, I'm sure we can find something for Melanie and Faith to sign for you!

Zoofari One Off Custom Guitar

Mudd Guitars today delivered the one off Custom 'Zoofari Guitar' to the Phoenix Zoo. This guitar will be auctioned off to raise money for the Zoo at the upcoming Zoofari event on October 5th. We're hoping the guitar will raise a good amount of money for the Phoenix Zoo. The Zoo is 100% funded by donations, and Mudd Guitars is very pleased to be able to help in this very worthy cause.

You must be present at the Zoofari event to bid on the one off Custom Guitar - This guitar will never be copied by Mudd Guitars, so you be sure of getting a unique instrument that will surely increase in value.

Michael Thomas joins Mudd Guitars!

Mudd guitars is very pleased to announce the signing of a new Mudd Guitars signature artist - Michael Thomas. Michael is an amazing guitarist who plays lead guitar with Adler's Appetite, Bang Tango, Faster Pussycat, and Fastback. Michael visited our workshop for a few days and with his valuable input into his personal requirements, Mudd Guitars is building Michael his own signature model. All I can say is, you won't believe this guitar when you see it, it's truly awesome and I'm sure Michael will put it to very good use in his upcoming tour dates.
