My absence from Myspace......
Current mood: drained
Category: Life
Hey everyone, I know I've gone missing from Myspace for a few months. My father had to have major surgery in November, most of his pancreas was removed. He then contracted an infection. He's been very sick, so I have been with him. He has to have yet another surgery soon due to the infection. I spent my holidays in the hospital with my father, starting with Thanksgiving.
My father's birthday was just recently, and just when things couldn't get any worse, my uncle, his brother, died of lung cancer. What a horrid birthday.
I'm doing my best to catch up on emails on when I can, and it's helping a bit - trying to get my mind off things. Missing my uncle and worrying about my father.
I do hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. I hope you partied your asses off, especially on my bday, Jan 1st:)
xoxo

Lost Innocence is playing on Starz and more
Current mood: chipper
Category: Jobs, Work, Careers
"Lost Innocence", cable name is "Accidental Stripper", made it's rounds on Cinemax and HBO, and is now playing on Starz Edge. So if you haven't rented it at Blockbuster or from Netflix and you missed it on Cinemax or HBO, now you can catch it on Starz
I have a couple of fashion shoots coming up in the next couple of weeks. One is really exciting, as I will be shooting with a celebrity in the fashion spread.
I'm not allowed to say anymore than that *pouts*, but when magazine issues come out, I'll scan them in per usual and I'll be able to say all I want. I'll also get extra photos that won't be in the magazine
I hope you all had a funtastastic Halloween, and yes, I meant funtastic.

Article, what true and what's not.......
Current mood: disappointed
Category: Jobs, Work, Careers
Most of you are familiar with the recent magazine article about me, http://www.getoutaz.com/story/531 but how true was that article? What information was left out? Was it a fair article about me?
A lot of you have written me asking these questions and some have even stated how much they hated the article because it didn't represent me and my career at all.
So I'm going to give you the inside to what was true and what wasn't.
First off, the printed article was MUCH different than the web article, including a different photo. I'm going to be scanning it tonight and adding it to this blog, so you can see the print version. So for now, I can only tell you of some of the differences.
This is the photo they used:
The article is called "Local Spotlight | Myla Leigh Chenoa" and under the photo it says "MODEL T&A: Valley model/actress Myla Leigh Chenoa...."
It goes on to read "Valley actress bares all" in big print.
It sill focus's on my two nude roles, probably because the two producers of those films, same company, have huge resume's, for example: Lance H. Robbins
But how long ago was that? 4 years ago. That's right, the article is focusing on two films I did 4 years ago a couple months apart. Why did I do the films? I was naive. I didn't understand post production, film name changes, filming extra scenes, not having to be notified of any changes or distribution, etc. I heard low budget Hollywood love stories (no joke - it's what I was told - only the Hollywood part was true), big producers (connections anyone?), and oh did I mention Hollywood and big producers?
I'm not making excuses, I'm stating facts. And yes, part of those facts were that I was topless. No I was not nude, you wear something that covers you but isn't visible to the camera so you appear nude. Yes, I knew it was still low budget Hollywood. Yes, I knew some of my other co-stars had their own love scenes.
I had a very hard time with the three love scenes I've ever done, but the director of the first one was very patient as I laughed the whole way though it. If you ever wondered why my face looks strange in the love scene in Accidental Stripper/Lost Innocence, now you know why. And it goes by "Lost Innocence", not "Accidental Stripper"....another fact left out, but we'll say "Accidental Stripper" since that's what the article called it.
So let's catch up to speed to my current career, you know, what that article left out.
I filmed "Stalked!" the next day after coming back from L.A. and filming those 2 films. That quarter of a second, from the side, topless scene (if you can even call it that) was not in the script, but I have no problem with that scene since, like I said, you really can't see anything. I thought the plot was fantastic and the directors and producers are on their way up - one is the Phoenix Suns videographer. Support for my locals up in here!! Yes, I was paid - I've never done a film for free just in case you were wondering.
At this point "Accidental Stripper" started play on Cinemax and HBO. I felt sick when the main director and producer of "Stalked!" called me and informed me that I was on Cinemax Late Night (call me stupid, but I didn't know what that was so he had to tell me), and explained scenes that I didn't know about and weren't in my script.
This betrayal led me doing absolutely no nudity ever again. I learned the hard way. Everyone says that Hollywood eats you up and spits you out....it's true if you let it.
I have refused to let it.
I became flooded with scripts, all I turned down because they required nudity, "implied nudity" or had a lot of sexual content.
Then I reunited with an old director who had a script that was going to Sundance and wanted me to play the lead character. I read the script and found the dramatic feature much to my liking. HOWEVER, the main character had some nude scenes. I discussed it with him and there was no way the nude scene could be cut out of the script, so I turned down the main role and instead played "the angry hooker", which contained no nudity, in the 2005/2006 release of "Dark Places". Though I have no name, just "angry hooker", I am her alter ego and am a major character in the film.
Yes, Sundance. Why was that not included? I have no idea. I told him all about it. Sounds pretty "legit" to me. contrary to the article that made no mention of this film and said that I'm going to attempt to go "legit".
I have three major producers in L.A. who have contacted me wanting to audition me. These are producers that have worked with people like Naomi Watts and Sean Penn among other huge names. And yes, they know I don't do nudity.
*Let's get personal for a moment. I haven't had a chance to get out to L.A. in about 6 months because I'm dealing with my sick father and some family issues.*
However, I will be returning to L.A. to audition in about a month. I will also be filming the National Lampoons movie in L.A. soon.
I feel betrayed by the article, and I know a lot of you do too. I spent hours and days talking to him about what I've done, how I was burned but learned, what I've been doing, what I'm going to be doing.
Instead he focuses on 2 films that I did 4 years ago.
I hope this clears up any questions and confusion the article caused. I know it's a long read, but sometimes the truth is more involved than fiction, and who knows, maybe that's why he chose the latter.

Cover interview is out on stands now............
Current mood: chipper
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities
Full Story Here
Valley model/actress Myla Leigh Chenoa, best known for roles in soft-core skin flicks such as 2003s Accidental Stripper, strikes a pose in the Liquid Room of Scottsdales e4 nightclub. It's tough being a Skinemax starlet. Especially an inadvertent one.
Valley native Myla Leigh Chenoa is best known for starring in soft-core skin flicks such as Accidental Stripper and Sexual Curiosity 2: Secret Sins the kind of movies aired late at night on premium cable channels: Low on budget and plot, big on bare breasts.
They've turned her into a recognizable face on the Scottsdale club scene and a cheesecake semi-celebrity on the Web.
But the model-turned-B-movie actress wants to go legit. Which means shed rather avoid any more roles that require taking off her top.
"I never intended on doing nudity or anything like that," she says. "I was naive to Hollywood."
Shes now being considered for a National Lampoon movie, she continues, but wont take the part if it involves doffing her duds.
"I wont be typecast anymore," she says. "Unfortunately, thats whats happened."
When it comes to exposing herself, shed rather it be in classier forms: She is finishing up a book of poetry, titled "When the Sky Falls," and wants to pursue singing in a band. To read the rest of the interview, view the full interview here which includes more photos and a comment box!
*Make sure you pick up a hard copy - this is just the web edition. Don't forget to tell them how much you loved seeing me in the magazine, even if it's just on the web!

Hair model, new hair......
Current mood: amused
Category: Jobs, Work, Careers
Well against my agencies advice, Vidal was interested in offering me a contract to be a hair model.
You can't be a hair model in this business because if they do something crazy with your hair, you don't look like the model they're showing to clients. Same thing with your agent, new headshots.
But I was feeling adventurous, and thought, why not! I'll give it a try.
Well, they gave me a faux hawk with a bob. So yes, have my head is shaved (not bald) but it looks like I just have a bob. It's going to be in one of the hair mags, I don't know which one, I don't look at those. Hopefully Vidal or the magazine will send my agency a copy as they should, and I can get a copy of it. Needless to say, I won't be signing with Vidal.
It doesn't really look terribly bad, but it's going to take a while for the shaved part to grow out. I now look 14 as well.
I don't have any pictures because this was just recently, and I haven't done a shoot yet or any filming.
Well cheers to a new look for a while!

The Black Dahlia........
Current mood: amused
Category: Goals, Plans, Hopes
So they're finally doing a film about The Black Dahlia aka Elizabeth Short.
Since I've been facinated with her story since I was a teenager, I was really destined to play her in the upcoming movie. Therefore I declare that they really didn't mean to say that Mia Kirshner would be playing her, they meant to say Myla Leigh Chenoa.
Just thought I would make that clear lol
