Seeing a virus alert?

Heya friends,

a few of you have reported seeing an error splash page from your security systems virus scan reading POSSIBLE_HIFRM-5 or have experienced about 50 windows automatically opening after closing out of myspace.com.  This error has been isolated to users that are currently using Trend Micro as their only security system and is not an issue with myspace.

Page Freezing

Heya Friends,

Some of you have been reporting your home page freezing.  If you see this address in your address bar,home. myspace. com// eyeblaster/ addineye V2. html.  Log out of your account and do not click on any links.  Whenever you log into your myspace account, make sure that you are logging into www.myspace.com!!!  We are working on this issue and a fix is on the way.

Can’t see friends or Homepage

Heya friends,

some of you have been reporting not being able to view your friends or your home page being distorted or apps not loading.  This error seems to have been localized to users that are using AOL.  To fix this issue, please follow these directions.  On your AOL toolbar click Settings, then click Internet Properties. In the new window that pops up click the Clear My Footprints tab and hit the Select Footprints to Clear button. Make sure both Cache and Cookies are checked - you can uncheck the other boxes if you want - then click Clear Selected Footprints. Sign out of AOL and close any open browser windows then log into AOL again and go to http://myspace. com  If you are not using AOL and are still having trouble, the errror may still be fixed by clearing your cache.  To do this, click on your control panel > network and internet connections > internet options > delete cookies.

unexpected errors

Some of you may be experiencing difficulties while trying to edit your profile. If you come across the "unexpected error" page it has nothing to do with your account specifically. We are working on the error and should have it back up soon.

inbox messages

Some of you maybe having the issue of not being able to view your inbox messages. We have reported the issue and its being looked into. Please be patient while we figure this one out.

Errors
Current mood: accomplished

We have noticed a couple of errors some of you have been reporting. First off band pages have been having issues with uploading pictures when uploading a song on thier player.  We have reported the issue and its being looked into.

Secondly there is an issue with the new message alerts not going away after you check your new messages. This is also being looked into and will be worked out soon.

If you are having trouble updating or entering your height or any other basic info, dont worry its not just your account. We should have that fixed soon.

Current mood: nostalgic

Blog updates still seem to be M.I.A. If you aren't recieving alerts of new blog posts or your new blog posts are not alerting your friends sit tight. A fix should be on the way soon. With all the changes being made to the site we have alot on our plates but we are working things thru and appreciate your patience and support.

remember me box

Along with the error below,  we have also noted the issues with the "remember me box" on the homepage. If you can't seem to get your info to stay in there, don't worry. It's being looked into and we hope to have that resolved soon.

groups/topics

We've recived a couple of reports from you guys saying you're unable to open up topics in certain groups. This issue is being looked into and should be resolved shortly. If you are writing in to report a group with unclickable links please include the url of the group along with your message.
