ANCIENT TEMPLES OF SEXINESS....
Category: Travel and Places
Kahju Rajo is one of the top five sites most people pick who are on a two week tear through India. It has a reputation of being the ’porn temples’. Gandhi even floated the idea of tearing down some of the steamiest parts until the great poet Tragore wrote an open letter telling him that they were there before him and god willing would still stand after him.
In the present pop interest in Tantra, which truly is about sex and not the higher forms of Raja Yoga, you can see photos of the most passionate panels thrown up as evidence of the wildness of Kahju Rajo and the culture that flourished there. These are used to validate wild sexuality but don’t elucidate the supreme states of consciousness needed to try doing it crocodile style. They don’t depict all of the amazing storytelling that is in the panels, the serene groups of people harvesting food, making chapattis, or pulling thorns from their feet. From the coffee table art books you find in the west you would think that Kahju Rajo was a granite and sandstone playboy monument. When you really see the amazing architecture, the detail, the craft-work, the intricate acts of common living that far outnumber the truly entrancing lovemaking sculptures you get the feeling that the eurocentric historians improper emphasis must be to turn one’s attention away from the fact that at the time Europe couldn’t even sustain what would be called a civilization here a 21Km square city that was at the heart of a unified state that spanned most of North India existed, flourished and produced some of the finest art and architecture that rivals the renowned renaissance of europe. Next to some of these works the great sculpture of David begs the question, ’yeah and so what are you saying?’
The evocative human forms are studies in anatomy, the sheer size and span of the construction is overwhelming much less that they are adorned with such craftsmanship. Also that there is a harmony here, man and women equal, even human and beast, all gods represented too. It’s no wonder that the Moghul bloodthirsty kings and the empire minded british had to decimate them and defile them. They stood in such contrast to what their various invasions were about.
As a traveler Madhya Pradesh is a bit remote though now you can fly directly into Kahju Raho and as we walked around the temple complex for eight hours we heard at least four planes coming overhead. It’s not a big city and it’s more than Varanasi which is exponentially bigger in size and attraction. Such is the reality of modern travel in India. The road ride in exposes that MP is a state with alot of space, in much of India you rarely go more then 20 clicks without going through some version of a town but we came in and out from separate directions and both ways, especially heading north east back towards Varanasi, we saw huge open landscapes, sightlines drifting off into the distance with almost no human print in the vision.
It was really my first time in seeing both Kahju Rajo and the Taj Mahal. They are ’must sees’ in many peoples eyes. It’s just that the ’guides’, traders and general climate of this high profile sites have always made me queasy. Varanasi is also one of these cities but for some reason I’ve been able sink below this profile and see the depth and daily life of this ancient city. In Agra and Kahju Rajo there isn’t as much current culture and every business family in India sends one son with the goods of the village to open a shop in these towns. So you can see south indian crafts, kashmiri rugs, rajistani cloth, musical instruments and silks from Varanasi all in the relatively small markets in both these towns. All that said both of these sites had extreme wow factor for me, they live up to their billing and are so amazing that I’m sure I will brave the shark pits of towns they are near to see them again.

starry eyed for january 07-13
Mon Jan 07- Sun Jan 13 MoonWeek Capricorn thru Aries
We start the week on the dark of the Moon. The end of the lunar cycle. I've heard of many physical and emotional maladies the last 28 days of this moon so I'm sure the news of the New Moon and what it offers will be welcome to many. Some form of a fresh beginning and change is upon us. Don't languish and focus on the wounds, injury and sickness are just an opportunity to feel the strong forces of healing rise up in you. Those that continue to pick the wounds are resigned to staying in the bounds of pain. Our whole reality is about pain according to the Buddha so we all have it. All that can be changed is our reaction to it.Monday is the dark day of the moon what comes up is the things that wish to be shifted, dealt with and transformed. The New Moon is early Tuesday morning, if you missed it know that it's never to late to check in and give some thanks offer up some intentions and ride the wave. By the middle of the week on Wednesday we are into the wave of the Aquarius moon, waxing and tossing out ideas and alternatives. It's a bit of an idea blizzard and not all of them are appropriate but it's nice to feel the mind and attitude at a point where it's jumped out of the box. Seriously we have a fresh new year and a moon. So if you're grumbling and moaning then you really need to look at how much you've gotten used to grumbling, moaning and snarking and break that habit. It's not just back emotional physics, it's bad physiology and it dumps the wrong chemicals in your blood stream, lowers your immunity and freezes the , 'creative glands' in their tracks. So it's not just new age babble anymore, you have control of your thoughts every breath, if you keep them in the upbeat zone you improve your physiology. Wednesday through Friday we have the moon in Aquarius. It's the monthly brainstorm, where the box disappears altogether and we're all out of it. With the waxing moon in our sails we can really see both the forest and the trees, even the sky and roots if you want to. The trouble is the focus goes in and out and thoughts are fleeting at the speed of light. For groups it can be a bevy of useful ideas or an unraveling of direction. This is not a 'decision moon'. This is the window for things to come to the surface by ricochet means. I'm specifically talking about the u.s.a's presidential elections. All it takes is one misrepresented story to be relentlessly repeated and it can shift focus. We live at the speed of page refresh and RSS feeds, where mere hours after happening something becomes truth by exposure. Witness that Clinton did not cry, merely waxed wistful and it spun into a huge wave that confused all the pundits. In this few days the news from the campaign trail will take backroom paths to get to our ears. Always trace your sources! Friday afternoon and through the weekend we enter the waters of Pisces. On Saturday Venus is square Uranus and will provide some unusual directions in the arenas of social direction. This is the pattern of 'tough love' in our world. Compassion can take an aggressive tone, or at least switch from passive to active. In the gospels of the Magdalene they translate the 'turn the other cheek' into trying a fresh philosophy in the face of the slap from the status quo. Not a victim 'hit me again' type of thing but an active, creative and evolutionary response. Ultimately active compassion will always trump out, especially in a world with so much violence the response is obviously needed.

Mon Jan 01- Sun Jan 07 MoonWeek Libra thru Capricorn
Yeah time is subjective, particular to each person. But right here right now the Roman calendar rules, 80% of the decade under foot. That's the subjective time part again, it seems like only yesterday. The reality is we all write 08 now. Monday with the Moon in Libra Mars slips into Gemini, even before Kiritimati is the first to wander into year 08. This is a great night for a party though and it's a good thing because plenty will be doing that. The Mars in Gemini part is a caution though, we're in a pattern where the war over words is just a slip of the tongue away.
Tuesday night through Friday we're hanging with a Scorpio Moon. Could be some secrets of '07 pop out early in '08. No matter what the Roman calendar says the lunar one tells us this is the darkest part of the moon. Time to dig into yourself while the ground is soft and see what's under there. Psychic tinkering is valuable now. Many will just look away and use distraction devices. The brave and the lucky will purge out those things that are the causes of physical and psychic maladies and as the pop prophet said, "...turn to face the change...". Mars, fresh in Gemini and Pluto fresh in Sagittarius make their first opposition. It's the beginning of a dance they will do until early April. So words can be the most hard core of weapons. Often something said years ago still stings, but that broken arm is healed and gives no problems. It's a passage where we all have to speak what you really feel and when you feel it. The more time you allow things to fester internally the more likely it is that when released they will fall on the wrong ears, for the wrong reasons. Thursday night is a prime time for the ills or blessings of this dark moon to burst forth. The moon roams void of course and we have the array of our psyche laid out before us. Those that look are cool with it; those that don't want to can go to extremes to not see the wall much less the writing on it. We'll be awash in what Iowa means according to the pundits. It's 'Horton hears the who' time for our collective American village. Not that I'm a believer that representative democracy is healthy and vibrant, it's a case of some caring to much and others too little. But now is the time to educate yourself and be heard. The first meteor shower of the year is on, The Quadrantids, so if you think wishing on a star is a better angle there will be thousands to practice on. On Friday we slip into a different gear for the rest of the week; the Sagittarius Moon. Now you have the wind at your back and the horizon in your sights. The places you want to travel and the things you want to study come to the forefront. Training our wanderlust and desires towards directions that evolve us and those around us is the call. Make lists of all the things you want to do, no matter how outlandish. Just getting them in the physical world will help with the execution. To be able to see your desires is a unique and valuable mirror to see yourself. On Saturday Venus and Saturn square and the Moon moves into Capricorn. This is some hard-core astral love. A window of a few days where we can see in stark clear light the restrictions of what we perceive as beautiful and in the literary sense romantic. With the overtone of the Moon in Capricorn we can get an accountants view of our amorphous psychic territory. I always say start the new year slow and see what develops rather then toss a bunch of conditions on it from the start. This alignment gives us all a chance to really survey the deep landscape and be honest with ourselves. If you can't be honest with yourself who can you be honest with?

evolve or die, part 2- Starry Eyed for december 10th-16th

Mon Dec 10- Sun Dec 16 MoonWeek Sagittarius thru Pisces
This is one of the biggest NEW MOONs of the year. The fortunate and the tenacious will be on this from the beginning. This week there is a Mars/Venus trine lending some positive topspin and our long awaited meeting of Jupiter and Pluto. This happens Tuesday but will play out for awhile. This is the week to nurture those seeds of the new moon, get them sprouted and keep the attention on them, they could become trees in just a few short weeks.Monday the moon is still in the sign she was new in, Sagittarius, then she quickly slips into Capricorn. This week is about grounding and getting it done now. Mercury is square Uranus and the potential for fresh ways of speaking and looking at things is available to those who don't hold to tight to outdated expectations and conditions. Get those ideas and projects down on paper, out through the meetings of groups and take some concentrated, calculated and unrushed action. A small bit of discerning effort today will trump frazzled and frantic action. It's that simple cycle in the garden of our lives; seed creation, sowing, nurturing, harvesting, then to the composting where to fuel to create seeds comes from. Grab those seeds! Tuesday with the moon still in stately Capricorn, Jupiter conjuncts Pluto, Mars and Venus trine and the Sun sextiles Neptune. If you need more on your astro plate then your eyes are truly bigger than your being.Jupiter and Pluto only meet every 12/13 years or so. The last time was Dec 2nd 1994,in Scorpio. Jupiter in Sagittarius has been like a turbo charger in the arenas of religion and expansion. The most fanatical of religious leaders rule in many nations, wield influence far beyond their stature with Jupiter's push. The conjunction with Pluto in Sagittarius is rare, only every 250 years or so. Pluto was last in Sagittarius in the 1750's so think big transformations, evolutions and shake-ups in the way that things are. In our individual lives we can ride on this energy to actualize the transformations that we've been sitting on and flirting around. It's much easier to do it in the flow then to be dragged along by it unwillingly. There is no choice with these winds, they are here, they will blow, and it's up to each of us how we trim the sails. Many are writing dire things for this conjunction and that perspective is valid. Civilization can always use some evolution. Now we really need it, either we get it or civilization as we know it is going to begin falling apart. Are you riding the falling paradigm to the ground or hitching to the rising paradigm coming up? Venus trines Mars today and it gives us access to the yin/yang blend of our being. In these times of evolution it vital that we are all as balanced as possible. With this aspect one can see the blind spots in their being, some are too receptive and others overly projective. Now you can with just that clear awareness create a more even blend. Masculine and feminine are laced with so many issues for many, so just break it down to the basics, every quality we have is paired with it's opposite, and neither are good/bad. It's that effortless blend that we want, it's like a tool or a talent, the more you access it the easier it is to access. Wednesday we get the Aquarius Moon. With all this heavy astral action going on it's good to remember that we are naive. innocent and fresh canvases. No one has lived like in these situations before. What we put on them is up to us. To blame the larger force is to not really dig into this opportunity. If you think you're the hare and need to be the tortoise it can be shifted, if you need more of the hare momentum it's applicable. It's play the cards you have time. Today with the Aquarius Moon we can get ideas and new concepts that let us instantly evolve into new territory. The walls that were perceived earlier in the week now have ways around, over or through them. Humor is a powerful force and given the choice between strength and flexibility choose to be flexible. Thursday we still have freewheeling and footloose Aquarius moon momentum. Mercury touches with Neptune widening the already huge horizons to get communication from the dream realm. The source of obsessions and addictions is exposed to the bone and we can open a dialogue about it. It's rare to be able to go so deep and stay objective, so we should use it now to get realizations about drives we have that may not be healthy to us or our surroundings. Once we see the root of these things that 'control' us, truly we are allowing it to happen and controlling ourselves, they can evaporate with the exposure. Friday is one of the freest days of the week, Moon in Aquarius and there is a boundless sense about our states of mind. Some are annoyed when reality slips out of the box, those will loath today. For the rest of us it's a chance to really experiment in a practical way with the concept that we are what we think. Truly neurologists give us hope in saying that creative and learning brains actually grow new neurons becoming more 'plasticized' as they term it. The simple truth is a creative, learning brain heals it self and is youthful, regardless of the age of the body carrying it around. Take it a step deeper and the mind/heart that is humble, creative, learning leads to that brain and the body it's in. So at anytime you want to change your metabolism and brain chemistry it's just a thought away. Saturday and Sunday we have the Pisces moon and this whirlwind week ends up on a completion tone. With the arena of dreams and the psychic part of us amplified. In Pisces some get a little woozy, there is this amorphous flow about it. In reality it's the way things really are, no real clear-cut definitions. To get the boat of your life working in these waters is to blend the rational/irrational, the mental/intuitive and physical/spiritual. They are never separate except in our perceptions. This week we realize the stark truth the only person that controls what we perceive is in the mirror. It's a crucial and opportune time to hook that communication back up and claim ultimate responsibility for it.

Evolve or die.. Starry Eyed dec 3-9 ’07

MoonWeek Libra thru Sagittarius
It is evolve or die time. Now I'm not just an punk-ippie-eco-ist. Raw science and smooth intuition both offer evidence to those willing to look. This week is the clearing house for the New MooN on Sunday. We all are confronting our shared issues of living out of balance, a group deception. Individually the last ten days have been a specific multi media show on what areas have been hidden or seen so many times we just made them invisible. All of us see it now, many looked away again already, some glance away and then back, others try to steam up the mirror so they don't have to look, but it's there tailored to each of us. By Sunday we will be past the chance to glean from that glaring and profoundly deep and true scorpio vision perspective. By Sunday all that was available to pull out of the vision and dealt with is transferred into the bow of the Sagitarius New Moon, to be fused again, so if you don't like the cards it's fold or draw time.
Monday, Tuesday and the early week we're the peace maker or involved in it. Perspective is almost too filtered as a single action or thought by groups splinters out and not much traction is available. It's best for just seeing situations fully if not clearly. The sheen of Libra can seduce you into not cleanly seeing how your landscape looks, there is a tendency to smooth over, peace at all costs is a band-aid that only guarantees the return of the infection. There is no room for wasted space now, emotional, mental or physical. It's a waste of this window to not utilize it to purge thought/emotion patterns and get the internal vision clear. Venus and Pluto touch today too. We can see the Zena side of Venus. This completes the warrioress' activation of both Jupiter and Pluto for their rare conjunction on the 11th. It's not lightweight. Streamlining or building up, actions taken now have long term power. Sincerity is both tool and toy, but the only way for real personal evolution, without it all motivations lead to ruin. Wednesday thru Friday is the Scorpio Moon set up. A last chance through the fun house for those that dare. Wednesday Venus moves into Scorpio. The earlier Crack about her being like Zena as well as Aphroditie is modified more, Condi rice is a Scorpio and a good example of how heavy Venus can get. Three weeks of powerful vision and evolutionary moves happening not behind the scenes but beneath them. Buried wounds can attain instant healing now. Chanukkah begins today, Eid al Adha and Christmas follow. this year the Abrahamic trio celebrates without an overlap. Eid al Adha and Christmas follow. Truly it's just about operating system. God 1.0, 2.0,3.0 and you know Abraham looks down in dismay at what a mess his children have made of it. Most of the conflict on our planet traces these roots. Bottom line you can update your personal software to human 0.0 anytime you want. By Thursday the momentum is thick and swift. Flow cannot be fought but must be danced with. Mercury and Saturn square up. Not a good day to get into a fight. However if the work has been done it's a powerful day and beyond for relationships to be solidified, elevated and progressed by word and action mingling. It's a time when words and actions can be immediate, the 'careful what you wish for window.' Things said in haste today could take the whole winter to unwind. The flip could also be awareness activated today could reset you and your relationships to a fresh, unique level; human 0.0 Friday is still full steam somewhere with moon in Scorpio. The soup that we've been in, some luscious others toxic gets a twist of something completely unexpected. The Sun and URanus square, rare-ish, twice a year. It most certainly is a spicy blend. Strange new and shocking ways to live and die. All the lemmings are effected, some climb up a tree to take a look for a minute. Sometimes there is no cliff. Certainly it will be of a nature that no one has seen, our whole world is that way right now, existing in a way that no one has ever seen. Unique has inertia but is still only exists inside the paradigm of the four elements. The fifth is up to you. A 7 billion human earth ecosystem is dicey right now. It's the time to take a brake from the stampede and do a check in. Late today the Moon clicks into Sagitarius, the sign of the new moon this weekend. It's really the window to know what you're packing, uber minimal view. Extra stuff won't help, best to go freestyle then to memorize use less stuff. Sunday is the NEW MOON but the whole weekend is the window, it's 9:40am Pacific by the numbers. We all have some way we relate to this cycle of renewal. This one is like a mojo expander warp. Whatever you got only you know how to use it. It is vital to act from that deep realization that we've never been here before. Simple sincere and clear ritual is better than great costumes and scripts badly translated and lacking real content. Being human 0.0 is about bridging the gap from animal to godHead, godHeart actually. The power of the arrow for this Sagitarius moon is strong, a stellium of planets are grouped, Uranus nods in and Mars won't be denied influence. Trust that what you allow in the quiver will get launched. Some explode on release, others, misshapen, hit innocents, but it's all about that one arrow that becomes a unity of the four elements exposing the sneaky fifth. The thing about being where we've all never been is Everyone has a shot at getting it right. It's never before been as true as now, "it's where you are not where you've been."

MoonWeek Cancer thru Libra
We're in the dark of the moon; all those old ghosts and hints from deep inside that the full moon brought up this weekend have to go somewhere. If you don't want them to revisit then it's time to deal with them. Whether personal or community we have until the Sagittarius New Moon on December 9th to deal with it. Consider it the friction of evolution. We start the week a bit weepy with a touch of fantasy, mid week it shifts to passion, drive and drama and by the end we are all system analysts. This is a rollercoaster part of the zodiac and a waning moon so it's not a drill this is real life. It's easy to say 'unconditional' and 'no expectations' but this isn't tea with friends, this is where you have to do it. Be an angel walking in the valley of evil, fear no demons, even if they look back at you from the mirror. Monday is really moonDay as the Moon is in Cancer, the sign she rules. It can make us all a bit sensitive, it's a transit where the part of you that needs attention will try and get your attention. Whether it's an emotional bruise or that creaky knee you're going to get not so subtle hints about where to put your energies. Sure you could reach for the ibuprofen tabs or some emotional band-aids, best to get stark and blatant in your style of recognizing limitations. Venus trine Neptune giving us a channel we can use throughout the week. It's in air signs and will give us communication from and about our obsessions and dream worlds. The normally hidden parts of us, the winds that move the fog. If on this normally obscured levels we could flip some switches and adjust the deeper workings we wouldn't have to worry what the subconscious was doing down there while we were living in the 'real' world. Tuning our deepest desires to the highest good isn't easy, it requires acknowledgement of our individual and cultural hypocrisy. It's better to do it now, there may not be a later. Tuesday the waves of the Cancer moon are still whipping us. Makes you want to walk around with a box of tissues and be ready at all times. Whether comforting others or ourselves it's always a delicate balance. When someone is in the throes of an emotional incident is not always the best time to point out an 'I told you so', usually those should just go unspoken. Just feeling is powerful, not just reaching for the substance or action that normally gets one though it but taking some extra time to just allow it all to work through. Often before we get to the bottom we use some sort of tool of avoidance. In this case avoidance only guarantees it will come back. Wednesday we get the Leo lift that comes each month after the Cancer doldrums and sensitivity. Makes you want to keep track of the moon eh? Today is one of the clearest days of the week. A single lunar angle going on and the confidence of Leo in our hearts. The flipside to Leo is, as the lions know, that elevator from over confident to INsecurity in an instant. We all get to exercise that responsibility for what goes on in our heads, are you puppeting the thoughts or are they puppeting you? On Thursday we ride the same flow and tomorrow it goes analytical so best to grab the verve and passion while the heart is full. Whether the physical or emotional/spiritual heart exercise and use does a system good. Feeling compassion actually raises serotonin and back to yesterday, if you're the puppeteer of your mind theatre it's up to you what's onstage. Generating emotions that are degenerative, anger, envy, fear and the like is actually bad for your health, it's not hippy trippy anymore. It's raw science. From CNN, not a hippy trippy network, "a decade of research at the W.M. Keck Laboratory for Functional Brain Imaging and Behavior led by neuroscientist Richard Davidson found that choosing specific thoughts and emotions can permanently change the working of the brain.
When participants practiced feeling love and compassion, their brains went into action -- connecting and building new circuitry at high speed. " We're about to shift to a few days of mental ness so get ahead of it and apply some effort to monitoring what you think about when you're, 'not thinking anything' and change out old programs for new if you don't like the show that is running. It would follow that if compassion is organic fruit for the brain that complaining and poor me would be the equivalent of a nasty mad cow cheese burger. We slip into Virgo on Friday and the mind whirs up into light speed. It's why Virgos get tagged as neat freaks, that's not true I've lived with lots of them, but they can focus on a task and in minutes do hours worth of categorizing or sorting/cleaning. We can all bust a broom right now. It's getting towards the last quarter where we need to sweep the bones out of the cave literally in some cases but figuratively for all. Coming out of a blistering full moon has left some detritus around. Now is the time to sort it out and see if there is something hiding internal or external that you hadn't discovered. Stripping it all down to the basics insures hearty regrowth and evolution. Sun square Saturn today, it's usually twice a year, a big check in with the physical plane. It will creep over the next few days. Dally in whimsy could leave one exposed to a heavy blast of reality. All you have to do is check the ice sheets at the poles on time-lapse to realize we are all off in whimsy land right now with how we're using resources. Tuning to Saturn can be the most powerful thing we do as individuals, to shift to the individually objective viewpoint may be a gift we have as humans. Not many use it, seeing things objectively helps you avoid flying objects. For Saturday and Sunday it's moon in Virgo. Here in this season now is a good time to catch up on the 100 projects that, "would only take a minute". These usually can lie around for weeks if not months. In a flurry you could dispatch many of them. The goal is to reach the Libra moon on Sunday night with a relaxed air, full of accomplishment. When we clean and make space creativity and potential flow right in. Saturday Mercury moves out of Scorpio and into Sagittarius, now the communication undertone moves from secrets to directives. Many will be laying down the law. Don't take them so seriously. The one you should take seriously is in the mirror. It's a great time to have a conversation with yourself and get clear about direction. Then you can lay that out to others, now is the time to clear the fog and point your compass toward who, what and where it is you want to head to. Sunday Venus sextiles Jupiter and we get a top note to that idea of direction. The frosting of higher good, archetypal beauty or just plain for the betterment of all expansion. It's a great evening here in the dark of the moon to bask in gratefulness, to really understand what a gift it is to be alive, to align with these ideals. The farther you are from that during the changes that are coming the harsher it's going to be. The say when we learn to die gracefully we then begin to live truly.

MoonWeek Pisces thru Gemini

It's a fUll mOOn week. It's not until Saturday so you have the whole week as a fuse. The Sun moves into Sagitarius, Blessings of the natal return to the Archers! We all get a hit of the 'direction of things'. Once loosed you know the arrow only goes in one direction. More on that later, this week defines the whole next cycle, it is the seed of the Scorpio Moon -Nov 9th- Germinated, grown and bearing fruit. What we don't harvest or at least deal with will surely rot on the waning side next week and we all know what a yard of unpicked cherries looks like. We're in the Pisces Moon on Monday. The energy flows both ways and death of person, place and thing isn't such an intimidating concept. We can see the cycle of things. Mars gets in the middle of Venus and Mercury, the classic Mars square Venus and then later in the day a trine with Mars and Mercury. Mars in Cancer has a lot of pent up flashes to burst up to the surface. When Mars and Venus square regardless of sign it's a format we all have access to; the internal blend of masculine/feminine that makes us up. Even for someone in a decade old rut it's still a fluid blend. This yin-yang combination described as projection/reception, physical/emotional or ease/disease is scientific by as well as metaphoric. We now alter hormone levels to illicit a variety of medical aims. Also it seems like it's not such a good idea. The regulation of the being goes on thought by though, breath by breath. Every day, for our whole life we have a chance to participate more in that process, ancient theories or modern technologies, there is plenty to drawn on. So today we know what is, has or needs to die. The moment of acceptance and moving on into the new reality can happen now or be dragged on forever, it's a matter of choice. Overnight the Aries Moon is installed, Tuesday makes the musings of yesterday seem like they never happened. While using this burst of energy and momentum don't loose track of the realizations of the last few days. It will keep the arrow pointed in the right direction. Aries moon energy just wants to empty the quiver quickly and the search around for other things to put in the bow. Watch bumps of the head, strange but common occurrence on waxing Aries moons. It is the day associated with Mars in most systems, the moon tags Mars on a degree sensitive in king george's natal chart. Someone hide the red button from him please! Wednesday we still have the fiery winds of the Aries moon in our sails. The full moon is just days away and focusing some of the momentum to clean up the areas of your life that the Scorpio new moon exposed is vital. If you sweep it under the carpet or look out another window to avoid seeing it on the waning side you're gonna have a mess. Mercury is trine Uranus today, sympathetic messages of a fresh look at your situation. Revel in it, see it as a possibility, even if it includes learning to fly or a new language. It will flavor the rest of the week, so when that crazy prophet on the street hits you will some skewed wisdom don't toss it out before mulling it around a bit. There are fragments of talismans, morsels of evolution and hints of divination sprinkled in the oddest places right now. On a side note, I've been feeling the transits are right for our 'deep throat' right now. Or if you prefer the defector from the dark side, the one who gives up some hard evidence paired with those who have the bravery to expose the truth. This degree (the mercury/Uranus trine) was hot for the new moon, the u.s.s.a. and president shrub. It's the window open for two weeks. Can't wait to see it. I pray that people care about it as much as anna Nicole smith. We reach the thick part of the Full moon fuse Thursday with the Taurus moon. Nice to have a good solid body level, nature of pleasure and sustenance before the full moon. The Sun moves into Sagitarius. It's always a party for the Archers among us so we enter the season of gatherings and merriment. Just another reason to shave off your issues so this cycle doesn't drain you and can sustain you. From the vista of the Taurus moon we can see the simple needs in life and revel in what we have. Gratitude equals high serotonin so get with those mind thoughts and feelings and heal yourself cell by cell. By Friday we're 'within-orb' of the full moon , the fuse has disappeared into it and all that's left is the boom. Moon still in Taurus but rolling void. The Tantric Yogi's say the moment just before is more powerful than the moment after if you know what I mean. It's even cultivated as a state of meditation. Like poise on the tracks with a freight train. Rituals or business deals you should have it together by today. If you don't stay minimalist as you missed the window. It's best not to grab and get frantic just take it as it is. So whether you're closing the big deal or a circle drawn in corn flour go with what you really can count on and understand mentally, physically and emotionally. Saturday the moon is full at 2 degrees Gemini. It's early 6:30am PST. Moment before or after it's on! I've always loved the pairing of this full moon each year. In the opposite season it's Gemini Sun and Sagitarius Moon. Now in the northern dark nights it's the Sagitarius Sun with the Gemini Moon. The Archer, one-pointed ness, infused with the distant ideas and places sits opposite the twins, diffused thoughts and communications, the mirrors of all possibilities reflecting freely. When a bow is pulled to tension thatit will release is a guarantee. Relaxing a bow is actually not easy to do with grace. The simplest is to just let free with the fingers, but be sure you have sighted a target! One of the greatest archers of all time is Arjuna of the Bhagavad-Gita. His quandary was over loosing arrows onto those of his blood, and in the grand sense of that poem, right action, wrong action or no action. That if we are connected to all how can we war, how is any act against the dharma anonymous or without victim. Even indecision is a decision. Arjuna eventually gives up his whining and gets to the living of reality and so shall we. To consider deeply the nature of actions in general and the actions of our lives is of course a given. Otherwise one could end up under the wheels of the chariot instead. With Mercury square Neptune, secrets and obsessions are the wheels so could certainly get messy like Ben Hur for some. Twisted natural selection I guess. Sunday is the afterglow. Hopefully it's not from uranium. Whether you see it as a 40's detective flick with cigarette holder and red wine or the smoldering of an all night puja dhuni we should drink it in thirstily with all sensory functionables. This is the reason of life, for the living. Life isn't happening to you, you are happening to it.

MoonWeek Sagittarius thru Pisces
This is a week for the astral winds in the sails. You can't fight the wind but we're not helpless, you can lower the sails, anchor the boat and wait it out. But really what would be the point? Maybe trim them a bit but this waxing moon is excellent for making progress towards that goal of being a healthier, more creative and loving human.Monday the week begins in Sag and that sense of direction and drive is there. Its only until the middle of the day so you want to use what Sunday brought you. Look back over the last few days to the wanderlust of the mind/body/spirit, what is it you want to learn, where do you want to go and how do you want to feel. Sag gives this feeling of doing it right now! So you can temper that a bit with a few breaths and examine what it is those 'goals' would bring you. First is accepting where you're at and the Moon tomorrow goes into Capricorn so we'll get the spreadsheet vision on our dreams soon enough. For today let them percolate and see what comes to the surface. Tuesday the moon goes into Capricorn early. Did you make some notes on the New Moon? Slip a request onto the alter or get an inkling in a dream? These next few days of the waxing moon is a time to see the steps needed to get, 'there'. There is not so far from here actually, most professional motivators suggest trying to get the 'there' to come to you, transforming the here rather then trying to leave here for there. Is that just prepositionally confusing? The basics is that you have to charge you're here and now. Have a clear and honest assessment of it to see it in this 'Capricorn clarity' is the key. Avoid trivializing the emotional level as Capricorn as the sign of the sea-goat tends to be very black and white. Our real worlds do include the dreams, emotions, and visions. But to see the brick and mortar framework in our lives is a good exercise in self-clarity. There is no reason a pauper can't live everyday feeling the joys of royalty. Certainly it's easy to see people that have the resources of royalty succumbing to the ills and pitfalls of what are classified as the lower realms of human existence. So not having the right toys or tools isn't what holds us back, it's not really knowing what we want to do with them. Know what you want and want what you know. Wednesday we still crunch through the Capricorn cycle. The moon is waxing and will reach first quarter before the week is out so you want to stay out in front of the surfboard to take advantage of the wave that is developing. Sometimes breaking things down to minute details, creating a list of the steps it takes to bring a project to completion is what actually drives it. Yes we do have to end up taking those steps and starting those journeys but preparation and pre-production is where most individual or group projects live or die. You can't foresee all that will happen, especially in group arenas but the process of creating plans b,c, and yes d if needed is a drill that gets you open and flexible, not tied to just one way. That gives you the ability to not freak out when things didn't flow right. Continual worrying over 'worse case scenario' looses its influence and will quit cluttering your mind thoughts. Why else have plans that extend down the alphabet if you're not going to use them now and then?
Thursday we take that leap from the firm footing of Capricorn and float out into the amorphous winds of Aquarius. Now that you've micro managed, macro scoped you can let all that rest and not only think but feel and act outside that box. It's also electrically charged territories for artists, engineers, producers of all kinds; the gales of brainstorms are blowing. So if you get the herd together you might want to take notes to filter through later for gems that came up.
Mars goes retrograde today, and will stay that way for the rest of the roman calendar of '07. There is no sugar to coat this, the review of rash and harsh actions is going to take place. So if you're the leader of a nation and have bombed, got others to bomb or have declared martial law now is your chance to address and redress these situations. Should you be a citizen of one of these nations now is the time to make your voice heard. Not to the choir, try stepping outside your social box and not preaching at all. It's the attention of the middle that we need to get. Friday the moon still floats through foggy philosophical territory in Aquarius. If you can't push the river certainly it makes sense that you can't resist the wind. The power of the air is supreme; the mental landscape is being flushed with a breeze of the new and innovative. The phrase, "because we've always done it this way" isn't going to fly today. Mercury through Scorpio aspects Saturn in Virgo, so if you're in the state department really check your memos over 'cause you could loose a secret or two and be on the news by tomorrow morning. Campaigns during this next couple of days could have some really big blunders come out. On the personal level it's always best to check your sources and don't take action on rumors. You'd hate to have to reveal your sources if you're right and it would be really embarrassing if you're wrong and have to reveal that you believed the gossips. Saturday and Sunday we come down from the mind and seat into the emotions and intuitions. The Moon moves from flighty Aquarius into flowing Pisces. They issue from different sources then the thoughts. The first quarter moon is behind us and a volitile fire full moon is coming up so catch the momentum before it catches you. It's a passage of hints, dreams, intuition and hunches. Even though mutable there is a certain knowing about Pisces. Now the membrane between the parts of the being is thin. A twinge in the eye can expose an emotion coming from an issue you've been fretting about too much. It's a great sign to do something that tries to braid these areas, get into your body! Like dance, hiking, just walk a local park. Something that lets the stream of consciousness flow. And when you're on these waters you can get to some interesting places. Some say the meaning of life is just that, paddling through it all looking for the meaning of life.

Mon Nov 05- Sun Nov 11 MoonWeek Virgo thru Sagittarius
It's a kNEW MooN week but we have to get through the darkest days of the cycle to get to it on Friday. We're in the deep, dark and mysterious cycle of Scorpio. The journey to the lower realms where our hopes, fears and fantasies reside together. Now is the time to dive into the depths of being and see what's developing there. Mercury moves back into Scorpio for a redo and should really scrape some secrets off the walls. We start the week Monday with the moon in Libra and Venus square Pluto, the beginning of the week has this 'clean up' diplomacy. Those issues that have to be dealt with like a dangling scab. You just have to rip it off sometimes. Done with a sense of healing, not just to discard it, with full awareness of where the wound came from, the healing process it took and now the scar reminder. How we re-member is more powerful then the actual facts over time psychologist tell us. So the first time we tell ourselves the story it should be true to the bone and simple so even a child could understand. We drift with the Moon still in Libra Tuesday. It's a vision of all sides, one that can even be disorienting as to where the 'me' fits into the big picture. The great the thing about fractal geometry is that it gives us this micro/macro tool. The trick is realizing it's always in motion. If it gets stuck we can ex or implode, either is messy. On the waning or dark side of the lunar cycle it's an opportunity to clear the boards and prepare for the New Moon. You can't expect the evasive, 'closure', from everyone but if you examine issues and relationships clearly and deeply you've done what you can to bring them to a level of honesty and clarity for the New Moon to work on. Wednesday the moon still floats through Libra most of the day and in the evening we move into Scorpio. Now we are in the darkest part of the cycle. In the sign of Scorpio we have the elevator door open to the deepest parts of ourselves. It's why Scorpio always gets hit with the stereotyped sexy tag. Sexuality is a deep and mysterious part of us. But wait don't order yet, you can go even deeper into the drives that are beneath sexuality. It's a depth that only the willing and brave will go to. These drives are instinct deep and yet each of us has the ability to be proactive and not just reactive in these arenas of our being. There is space this evening for some meditation and mediation. Thursday the Moon is in Scorpio and the new moon is coming tomorrow. General cleaning is always in order but 'cleansing' is more then just running the vacuum around the house. Some spritz rose water, replace flowers in vases and light incense. The flip is that it's not to get the attention of the divine as much as it is to get your attention. The divine is, well, the divine, pure loving attention. It's getting the deep and sometimes hidden core of our being to resonate and come to the surface that we're striving for. Venus moves into Libra! It's her sign and could be a harbinger of some peaceful actions for the next few weeks. Or at least the overtures of them. There are plenty of opportunities in our world to infuse with this principle. Unless you're a secretary of state you may not be able to throw your weight around Iraq, Darfur or Pakistan. We can flow that energy out into our intimate circle. Raise the style of interaction to a higher level and bring the goal of harmony back to the forefront. In this cycle you could seek some peace with those you may not have had the best interactions with for a long time. Often these patterns just get set and not updated. We have to accept what part we played in it and then offer that to the other parties. No expectations!! We can't expect closure that would be to easy, in the path to 'know thyself' we don't get neat packages often and it's enough to know, other people don't have to know it with you. To resolve conflict is often to see the true root, observed and realized the conflict dissolves. Even if the other parties keep yanking on the string if you let it go it ceases to interest them also. Mercury is fresh in Scorpio and retracing steps since the retrograde so it's a familiar route. Today sextiling Pluto and the words of war could be exposed for faulty facts behind them. On the micro scale you want to take harsh speech with a grain of salt and try to not blast some of your own inappropriate verbal spice out there. The transit of Mercury through Scorpio will take us through the end of the month. There will be some particularly nasty and salacious headlines and revelations so make sure you have freed the skeletons in the closet that want out. If they get out on their own it's messy. Friday is the kNEW MooN. Spelling it that way may be cheesy but I'm always trying to be reminded that new and knew are so close together. Like an old newspaper is news to someone who hasn't read it. Parts of ourselves that have been with us our whole life are new as soon as we get to them, often late in life. Most don't embark on the path of 'knowing thyself truly'. The more worn path is to stay with what is known and just stack the bricks of experience on top. To dig under actions, thoughts and emotions, finding their motivation is to free ourselves from patterns and to realize that we have the reins in our hands to move about life free of patterns, responsive to the winds and waves of existence. The Scorpio New Moon is most powerful and deep, as we've stated. The call to truth must reach into the canyons of lies. With Mercury following behind this New Moon in Scorpio there will be many 'hidden truths' exposed. Not so different then lies, when the headlines blare with 'revelations' first we all feel lied to. That shock some stay in and look away. Some families or couples will allow a lie to literally 'lay around' unsaid, unacknowledged, unknown. Like loss there are stages of dealing with a lie. To get past the shock, the self doubt of why we let ourselves be lied to and then to come out the other side to the only reality that will ever apply; what now? As individuals when we pull the vision down to the landscape of our lives we can first be brave and have some tough love for the one in the mirror. Then and only then do we have the amount of compassion it takes to use that clean vision on the outside world. To just scream and point out the lies is stopping short, just being the cackling crows pointing at someone else but really just pointing away from themselves. The truth is best served as an offering not an accusation. Only then can all that know it get to the evolution of what now. Saturday afternoon and through Sunday the moon is in Sagittarius. Fresh off the new moon in Scorpio and its revelations we have a mind for horizons. We want to take journey, start projects; the bubbles of possibility are popping. This sign and lunar phase are a time to listen to what wanderlust you have, whether mental, physical or emotional. It's all spiritual just flowing through different parts of your human prism. You could just take notes and by the end of the weekend discover that you had 3 countries, 4 degrees to be earned and 6 different structures to build. It's so easy to say "I want to do that, I want to go there" Most came up in the mind with an, "I have to do this!" a full-scale yearning. To be able on Sunday evening to go over all these journey desires is to see the path they all emanate from. Yes it's that same old voyage fresh every instant, "know thyself, and know the world". Right now it seems critical to try a riff off that, "Change yourself, change the world."

Mon Oct 29- Sun Nov 04 MoonWeek GEMINI thru VIRGO
After the full moon last Thursday we're in the waning cycle, the ebb of the tide, the seeding through decay from the Libra new moon the 10th of October. This week two backward moving planets turn direct, Mercury and Neptune. The dreams, visions, delusions, flights of mind and fantasies of the last cycle have to fruit or die. It's the cycle of nature. Look for the seeds you keep and don't weep for the ones you don't. They are food for something else.Monday the moon is in babble, Gemini. Take care one could say something that will fester and infect quickly, like by later tonight. 'Cause the moon heads into Cancer. It's always a good time to review what you did babble about the last couple of days and make sure you didn't give a verbal agreement that you don't want to back up in writing. Jupiter gets square with Venus and then glances Neptune while the Sun and Saturn mix. A potent start to the week. Outer planet stuff disperses over time, so the week carries these flavors. Visions of expansion, and expression being freed from the dream world. Social fantasies will be loosed from the minds and souls and walk the streets as reality. Revel in the costumes of the everyday and see the uniforms they hide. What comes up from the depths always returns to them, it's the wake left behind we have to deal with. Tuesday the Cancer moon passes by Mars. The craying tissues will be needed as with each month passage of the moon through Cancer. Mars is brewing some nastiness and doesn't like to be suppressed. If you happen to be the leader of the free world that has a Sun in Cancer almost by degree of this transit take a breath before you push any buttons today. Especially big red ones. And if you're not that guy we could all use a bit of channeling into the over soul to avoid dubya from acting out today, he makes such huge messes when he does. Wednesday we should still walk and talk lightly. Cancer moons are no joke. The body/mind/heart is at its most sensitive and a great time to watch for internal messages on areas of health that may need attention. It's easy to just live on anxiety and adrenalin, pushing on just to keep pushing on. But it's far easier to not get sick or emotionally down by tending to the body/mind when it sends us hints. Staying hydrated is sooo important. It takes more water to keep us warm then to cool us off so it's a sneaky thing that can happen, getting dehydrated when it's chilly, then all sorts of fun phlegm breaks out. If you can't stay healthy for you try staying healthy for those around you. It's embarrassing to be the one that brought the superBug home. Neptune turns Direct today. Lumbering backward since the end of May the in-tune of the village will look over dreams, visions, obsessions and the like to see what this cycle from then to now has exposed. You learned something about the deeper workings of yourself. Now is the time to actualize it so you don't lose the lesson. It will take a few days for Neptune to get momentum forward so use the 'in station' period as a dreamy review. Thursday the moon goes into Leo and it's the last quarter Moon. We're really in the dark side now! The Leo Moon offers a bit of energy and passion. So if the Cancer moon brought you down to the depths now you have a chance to break out. This evening is 'dia de los muertos'. The day of the dead. With so many people inviting the dead down for dinner how could they refuse? If you have a chance to head to the cemetery of someone that died this year take them their favorite food and drink and go hang out with them. It's a lot cooler and more real then Halloween. Mercury goes DIRECT today! The great communicator has been retro since the 11th of October. Look back and see what machines, devices and calendar meetings tortured you the last few weeks. Before heading forward there is an 'in station' period of a couple days. So writers, artists, technicians all should give everything the once over before turning it over. Any blatant miscommunications of the last few weeks should be combed over for hidden problems. Don't just gloss them over because when they crack it could pull it all down on you. Friday many will have put off the Halloween party until the weekend to take full advantage. It will serve to be good timing as the moon is in Leo, defiantly a party sign. All sorts of big cats will be out and flashing red. Remember to place nice and keep the drama to a minimum. Leo moons can turn on you, confident and sassy one moment weepy and self doubting the next. The Moon heads into Virgo for the weekend, so Saturday and Sunday are sort of the 'worker bee window'. The mind will be sizzling and the hands and feet too. We all could use a bit of home cleansing and releasing of the clutter. It's definitely time to get the cave in order. Small bits of effort can pay off big in changing the 'vibe' of your surroundings. Hibernation season is here and you don't want stuff smelling up the corners, it makes for a grumpy bear. The Sun and Mars trine today, bringing together the powerful water signs of Scorpio and Cancer. The explosive energy of Mars is stifled in Cancer and things are bound to explode to the top. Mix fire and water and you get steam. A potent physical force. I already made light of king george's placements in Cancer. It's a real thing though and the headlines could ooze with its effects. On a persona level we can use this steam judiciously to push up things we don't want in the depths. Sure it's easier in the short run to ignore all that deep Scorpio stuff. The downside is it's working while you sleep, while you focus on trivial things. Remember live with reality or it comes to live with you.
**World Time Calculator Of course I can't put everyone's time zone here. If you want the time for you convert these from Pacific Daylight Time (Portland,Oregon-usa) you can access a world clock converter. and get your local time.
