My Teenage Stride is going to be Paste Magazine's band of the week next week. Or maybe it's the week after. I don't know. Anyway, look for an interview and probably some nice tintypes and court sketches.
The new EP, "Lesser Demons", is available exclusively on Emusic starting today. It won’t be available elsewhere for a month, so make all of your imaginary friends jealous and be the first on your Cisco server to have the new My Teenage Stride release.
Secondly, the video for "To Live And Die In The Airport Lounge" is featured on the first episode of the new season of New York Noise. Which has already been aired. But, well, they’ll show it again.
We were honored to receive the honor of being one of Magnet's top twenty albums/bands for 2007 with "Ears Like Golden Bats". Another groovy band who made it on the list: Black Lips. Look for the new issue of Magnet with us in it to come out this month. Huzzah.
So listen hey, MTS, now featuring Mat Patalano on The Bass Guitar, will be playing on Soundcheck, NPR's music show. That's WNYC. National Public Radio New York. Yes, this means we're famous, or, certainly at least that we're a band.
My Teenage Stride is busy preparing to record an EMusic exclusive EP. Tentatively titled "Getting Even Without Feathers", the EP will feature guest appearances from indie rock mavericks such as Rachel Warren of Palomar and Ben Daniel of A Sunny Day In Glasgow. The EP will be a featured release on EMusic and will be available for purchase/download only on that site. Also, a statue of the members of My Teenage Stride will be erected in Central Park, where Mayor LaGuardia will make a commencment speech and declare that day "National My Teenage Stride Day".
L Magazine's latest issue features "8 NYC Bands you need to hear". We, happily, are one of them. Note: In real life, My Teenage Stride is not seen through a fisheye lens.
