Category: Ready! Writing and Poetry
Cum ouT OF THE WOODWORK!!!
ouTsideRs (Brisbane) and The SiSTERs thREE are quivering to offer a fresh new initiative on the spoken word scene.....we are holding a free audition clinic for potential paid spoken word features this year on Wednesday 11th April from 3pm in T'N'G Cellar to give a chance for fresh freaks, poets and inspired kooky wordsmiths/smithstresses to hit the ouTsideRs stage.
We want people willing to engage / perform / push boundaries with live spoken word/performance art. It is about giving the audience a mental and visual stretch. Pieces need to be performed not read but other than this stipulation, there are no, no limits!!!
As places are starting to fill, those interested should email us via myspace to book a spot on the day or email ghostboy@aapt.net.au.
If you are unable to attend the audition, we recommend you message us anyway and then enter our slam competition, held each ouTsideRs - we'll be able to get an idea of your style.
Interstate and International performance poets visiting Brisbane this year should also get in touch, as can any other musos or performers who are interested in being included in the lineup.
