Hey, sorry about missing last week's post. Been into this show I've recently re-discovered called Pure Pwnage. A great & fun show for you fellow gamers out there.
Guess I should give my two cents on the recent political mumbo jumbo, eh? I'll try & make it quick for those that don't care.
Obama: Smart choice for VP pick, still think he'd make a lousy president, fell asleep when his recent "history making" speech came on. Pfft. Been watching this stuff from the primaries, & he still won't give any specifics on how to solve anything so I'm betting I missed an extended version of all the other speeches he's made. Besides, Kucinich's Wake Up America speech was probably better. Go look it up on youtube.
McCain: I'm still laughing at his VP pick. Not that I know she's an idiot or anything but out of all the likely picks... LOL again. Might be an even worser(no, that's not a typo) president than Obama.
I was thinking of writing in Kucinich in November, but seeing how he did show up in Colorado I guess I probably should vote for Obama. It'll be like voting for Kerry all over again yaaay. >.< Regardless, I hope some of the third part candidates get some attention this time. Too few people know that there -are- more than two choices in a presidential election.
Outside of that? Hmm I have discovered the most frustrating hate-filled game in mankind & it's called Solitaire. Don't get me wrong, Clubhouse Games on the DS is pretty cool. But there is a singe player mode where you have to play the games in order if you want to unlock new ones. I had stopped playing this mode about 2 years ago when I got to this stage & I didn't know how to play so I gave up. Well I've learned now & this thing blows! I really want to find the guy that stuck this practice of Hell into my DS game & Falcon Punch him into next month. I'm considered just trading the whole damn thing to avoid playing Solitaire ever-a-friggin-gain. I've heard it's supposedly addictive & time consuming. It is a waste of time, I'll give 'em that. Tetris is addictive & time consuming, this ain't.
Oh yeah, in other news. The nephew went home on Thursday. Left him with some memories & a lot of video game losses. Heh, even whooped him real bad in Dragonball Z: Tenkaichi Budokai 3 5 on 5 match. Yamcha defeating Ubuu in a kamehame clash for the win.
Is it me or is it unseasonably cool outside? August used to be the hottest, most ball-sweatingliest month of the year but the last week or two felt like spring. Reminds me of that winter that wasn't really a winter last year.
Anyone here been keeping up with the Olympics? I had planned on watching the events that I actually wanted to see for the first time(Fencing, Taekwondo, Wrestling, etc) using the DVR but with no TV that wasn't happening. One of the events I missed were the now controversial womens' gymnastics event. Apparently there's a fuss if the girls on the China Team were actually 16 years old or younger. Sounds like someone's upset that they lost to me. They say in the rules that the athletes can't be younger than 16. Pfft! If a 14 year old can kick an adult's ass in sports then let them play on the world's biggest stage. If it's unfair then send in kids from all the countries if adult's can't handle it. When I watch the Olympics, I expect to see the world's best & regardless of age, that's who should be competing. China owned in that event, nuff said. Of course we owned them in more events so it's all good in the end.
Speaking of owning, I've been kicking the crap out of my nephew in Super Smash Bros Brawl. He's actually improved a lot since he's come over here & is a decent match to the point where I've turned the extra two CPUs off & square off one on one with him. Still whines when I really nail him though. He wanted to stay longer but he's just sick of my dad now so he should be heading home on Monday.
And just because I just finished another can of Steven Seagal's Lightning Bolt Energy Drink & he rocks...
Starting to wonder if my personal Doomsday Clock is about to strike midnight or something. First, my asshole manager at my job jumped our ever-so sinking ship followed quickly my the jerk supervisor that he always covered for being investigated for apparently stealing some money. Couple that with the company raising our quotas to meteoric levels while taking away from of hours...Pretty sure that place is going to close down or at the least they'll kill off my shift.
On the home front, my dad's being more of an asshole by the hour. Since he's not constantly getting waited on hand & foot here, he's decided to start driving his Durango again. Now I can't say I'd feel bad for him if he had another seizure behind the wheel but seeing how he's risking the lives of everyone else on the road... Not only that, even if he doesn't crash, he risks being caught by the cops. Again, I don't care. Hell, I'd report him to the police myself. What does get me is how he's risking our livelihood every time he pulls out the drive way. Something happens to him, that's accident fees, insurance rates, lawsuits, etc. Another round of those & we'll almost certainly lose our house. But he doesn't care. Despite him not being medically cleared to drive or work, he's driving around & trying to find a new job.
On a lighter note..umm uhh...lemme get back to you on that. >.<
What a lousy weekend....

First off, Bernie Mac dying sucks. That dude was damn funny. I can think of a number of people this planet can do without & he ain't one of them.
Yesterday, if I could get away with murder.... It's been a long weekend. Yeah, not so much the week, but the weekend. I could go into detail but let's just say I got another reminder that I need to find a better paying job so that I can move to somewhere far..& probably cold. These people hate cold weather & won't want to follow me there thus I can take a mid-day nap without someone waking me up & not wanting anything whatsoever.
Oh yeah on a positive note, I did find some time to hang out with some role playing friends online. Even got inspired enough to create a new character when one of them was sending me pics. Can't go wrong with a magical scythe-wielding demoness, right? No, I don't have a "real" life, thanks for asking. lol
Speaking of that dreaded "real" world stuff. A couple of co-workers at my job were on my case (again) about not getting a girlfriend & getting laid. Yeah, talking about random stuff like that is how we pass the time. One even challenged me to walk into a Game Stop & try to get a girl's phone number. Of course my response was "Why? I hate using phones." & I do. The only use I get out of mine is putting ring tones & wallpapers on it, I can't stand actually talking on those things. I was actually considering this exercise of futility but seeing as after checking my bank account I decided I can't even afford to walk into a Game Stop let alone buy anything in there... Besides, the games I already have are working fine. Played a round of Wii Sports with the nephew on the flat screen in another room & it ran. Now to get one of my own.
Killed Death(which any Castlevania fan will tell you -never- stops being fun), took a nap, & woke up to find my new ac adapter had arrived. Seems to work fine but I'll need a TV that words to find out for sure.
Not sure why myspace is being stupid but I'm actually playing the same Castlevania Double Pack that I stuck in the now playing of my last post. Aria of Sorrow is the 2nd title in it though so whatever.
Augustus is upon us

I may not watch as much TV as I used to but man, do the hours pass slower without one around. Yeah, there are other TVs in the house, even an HDTV but it's not the same. Plus you have people that don't want to watch what I like to so they'll whine & run their mouths non-stop. Rather go without it than put up with that. As far as my TV goes, I'm already looking for a new one & since the prices have dropped significantly, I could easily get the same one for $99. But where's the fun in that, right? I'm saving up for a $300 20" HDTV of my own which oddly enough is close to what I paid for that flat screen tube TV that's being replaced. Sometimes flooding the market works I guess.
Game Stop nor Radio Shack had the AC adapter that I need to(hopefully) get my Wii working again so I ordered one on Amazon & it should be here in the next day or so. I haven't been devoid of entertainment of course. Still got the internet for *ahem* stuff & yesterday I pulled out the ol' Game Boy Advance SP. Still say it was a mistake on Nintendo's part to just end support for that. There are some games out there that don't bring much to the DS but still would make decent GBA titles. Ah well.
That stuff aside, not a whole lot is going on in my life. We're all pretty much sure layoffs are coming at my job though the supervisors are acting as if we're idiots. Hell, even the loser manager is jumping ship to a new job in a week. Who knows, maybe his replacement will know what they're doing & will turn things around. Then again when the first shift manager walked off the job they floundered around before promoting someone within. Ugh...
Additional stuff that got messed up due to that storm- Network card on my parent's comp is down but the router still works thus I can get online & they can't. Also my sister fried her laptop's AC adapter. So now when they have to go online to check their e-mail or bank accounts or whatever they're at my door. >.< I got my own computer to avoid having them screw it up like they do theirs. That's not even my biggest concern though. I gotta keep clearing my history every time they come in here. Oh & possibly the most critical thing to be damaged by that storm may be our fridge. It's still running but barely. That thing is struggling to keep semi-cool & the repair guy won't be here until Tuesday. We could have used ice from the ice maker to slow the process down except for a certain jackass dad of mine thought the ice was overflowing instead of melting thus he emptied it. By the way, none of us can stand being around him now. Not me, the dog, the nephew...my mother was feeling ill but forced herself back to work after calling off because he wouldn't shut the Hell up & leave her alone.
Went to work yesterday & drove through a pretty violent thunderstorm. No biggy, happened before & probably will happen again. Work went ok & all but when I got home my dad tells me that my sister's TV & all the phones won't work so he's calling the Verizon guy. Kay. I head to my room & everything there seems fine -except- both my TV & my Wii. Dammit! I'm guessing a power surge from the lightning KOed both of them yet oddly the wireless headphones, Verizon Fios box, & clock/radio that are using the same multi-outlet thing all work fine. VCR's working too. I'm hoping the surge only killed the Wii's AC adapter & not the system itself. Unless something kicks in, I'm going to pick up a new adapter on the way to work this afternoon & see what happens.

I kinda liked her name as it was...Oh well, it's no where near as awesome as Vanilla Sundae anyway. Yes, I still like the idea of naming a female child that if I ever made that big a mistake in my life.
Not much new happening this week. My nephew's getting better at Super Smash Bros. Brawl & we had a blast playing a friend of mine as well as someone else I came across on myspace for some 4-way yesterday morning. I've faced that 4th player before & he uses some really cheap tactics & constantly locks out most stages to better use said tactics plus sets things to corny 1 on 1 stock matches where I don't do well I....don't do well. But toss in some more fighters, 5 minute time limit & the really fun stages & you got yourself a real fight. Yeah, it may sound odd that I have trouble fighting one guy yet fighting 3 I do much better in. I guess I just reign in chaos like that. No one was really keeping score but I'm pretty sure I won the majority of the matches.
In other stuff, I've had this crack on my car's windshield due to a rock hitting it for about 2 weeks now because whenever I wanted to send for the repair guys something came up & my wallet shrank. Heard that Pep Boys sells a DIY repair kit for such things. It's only a few bucks so I may as well try though a Google check suggests that using it might be tricky. Anyone out there with prior experience care to share some tips?
Found some free time to jump back on the role playing horse so to speak. Was up 'til 5am messing around on IMVU so yeah, had fun doing that. With my nephew staying with my bro this coming week I may log in some more. Either that or get around to watching those hentai DVDs...

"Every once in a while, declare peace. It confuses the hell out of your enemies."
Allow me to explain. Yesterday after driving my pain in the ass dad up & down Rt. 40 he decides that he needs some food at a Happy Harry's. Cool, in the meantime I went next door to a Subway & bought sandwiches for me & my nephew, my dad even walks in & waits. On the way out I suggest he try the new Philly Cheese steak they have there but instead he went on & on about how true Philly cheese steaks are better & how whenever he's in Philly he gets one or two & will never bring one back. OK.... Skip 2 & a half hours to when me & my nephew are now eating our sandwiches & NOW he suddenly wants one & wants me to drop what I'm doing & waste my fuel to get just him some food. Plus I was about to take a much needed nap since I went to the gym earlier. After my nap he's shouting & cursing at not only me but my 16 year old nephew & saying that I never do anything for him, etc etc. Whatever, I went to work early only to find a piss poor excuse for an apology on my cell phone after my shift. Ugh.
Fast forward to this morning when this idiot knocks on my door to repeat this poor excuse for an apology while still declaring that it was my fault in the first place(yeah, it's my fault that he's an ass). Of course this breaks down into an argument & I can see him hiding a smile(because I know he likes pointless shit like this, he starts arguments with my mom all the time) so in the middle once I noticed that he was arguing in circles, I turned the tables & suddenly started saying that everything's cool & over with & that I accepted his apology. He kept trying to go on & on but then I started saying that I already said what he wanted to hear(whatever it was) since I knew he wouldn't be able to recall either way then demanded that he shook my hand & left it at that. The look of confusion & frustration on his face was priceless!
And people wonder why I consider Rambo my father figure & not this jackass.
