thunderbolt of time!
Current mood: calm
aum

"i was born from the nectar of immortality as the primordial horse and as indra's noble elephant. among men, i am the king.
among weapons i am the thunderbolt. i am kamadhuk, the cow that fulfills all desires; i am kandarpa, the power of sex, and vasuki, the king of snakes."
-bhagavad gita
sacred quote of whom we each are of this moment. the thunderbolt is our awake kundalini. the kamadhuk mind is the awake mind that is abundantly abundant to be spirit, into only one desire-inspired by source in action. kandarpa and vasuki are the primal energies of the root chakra woken up to be the awake kundalini serpent as the soul have becoming the holy ghost.
the jiva-mukthi. the awake being.
awake.
awake to oneness in inputs, especially while eating. eating light through happiness such as in plants and mother earth's bounties of ahimsa.ahimsa means non-violence, non-harming and non-killing of any living being. total avoidance of rubbish/pains of others/bad karma/poison in our system enables a body that can hold the thunderbolt energies of being awake.
exclusively, love as food is the input that makes the mind in harmony of oneness. throbbing as the primal heart in all the living, the awake oneness of being source connected is nurtured by the the lord of the living- as good health, a mind that can concentrate, thoughts that are from source and good vibrations.
be the thunderbolt like awake golden spine in knowing - having united the body with the joy fields of the spirit- the yogi who have woven the mind/body/spirit into the golden light within.
as christ in the now, expanded in the evolved human conscious levels to be more of oneness- recognizing the supreme father in all the living- we are the awake.
beliefs like the caste system in india, flat earth theories, after shahid/martyr virgin stories and all other collective intellectual ego be burnt in the inner lamp awake in each as prayers be of source for human awakening.
religious books are revered as an altar in itself and they serve the purpose of being the essense of spirit. as road map, scriptures serve to guide us to be spirit and being spirit we are set free to be in the now, awake in higher consciousness of todays, rather than the time when the scriptures were written with the mindset of humanity that was in the past. beliefs of past dissolve into the truth of experience that is in the now when the spirit has the human experience.
we are the spirit having the human experience in the now as oneness- wide awake.
lead by each inhale that is spirit.
in the exhale is the gently manifested knowing to be free, awake, alight and having time as our slave.
as blessings of each to each
the 'i' joys found!

Yogic Tip: Be the Emperor!
Current mood: ecstatic
Category: the choice to the sun! Religion and Philosophy
aum namah sivaya
jai guruve thunai! may thoughts flow through our humility to receive source wisdom as joyful intellect!
(Above is Siddhar yogi, Baba Natraj, one of Nandhi's revered Gurus. His Oneness transcends to be One with all the living. What you see is a black bird that sits on his hands fearlessly. The essence of LOVE. All animals and most humans respond in his divine vibrations of wholeness.)
beloveds of the shared breath!
who is an emperor ?
and
who is the slave?
who am i? am 'i' slave or an emperor?
what am i here for? is 'my' awake soul knowing of its sacred fulfilling purpose as human?
am 'i' always within the dance of joy in each breath? am 'i' inspired through every moment in act and thought?
an emperor owns time to be the sun. day and night has dissolved into light and effortlessly whole.
the planet is the slave that toils the breath of joys not recognizing these joys and serving an exhausted and exhausting karmic field of days and nights. the slave is owned by time.
an emperor expands to be the yogi, the master of breath which is in the confines of time and the breathless realm that is beyond time. the yogi is called maharaj, the emperor, for this reason. the emperor fulfills the orgasmic act to light the lamp at least once a day and to be that inner light that has dissolved day and night to be whole as the sun.
this discipline of alighting a lamp to attain joys of source union sets us free. why would a yogi wish to enjoy the pre-dawn dip into the cold running waters by giving away body consciousness to the element of water each day? a discipline of letting go/surrender of body consciousness is the discipline born out of joys to then alight and be the light, the fountainhead of supreme ecstasy.
an emperor sets one day a week exclusively for these joys, a day of divine lovemaking! yes a sabbath day is a divine birth right.
and once a year, be the immense empowered yogi on the day of mahasivrathri to know turiya states, the states of higher consciousness that is beyond being awake, dreaming and sleeping. turiya is called siva maya- the realm of source. turiya is called the 'sleepless sleep'- the meditative realm that buddha and enlightened masters observe as 'the supreme void'. turiya state enables the mastery over the three states of the mind below- a master of awareness while awake, death like sleep while asleep and the dream state diminished to enable the mind's vitality. by observing once a year mahasivrathri, we allow our awake spirit to be the experience of lord siva, the eternal yogi/ni. mahasivrathri is the day of the eternal yogi.
each breath, inhaled gently through the great muladhara chakra enables awareness of the inner light. inspired through the awake muladhara fire that ascends to the third eye in our knowing purpose, we are the spirit enjoying the human experience. lord siva, the spirit we are in the awareness, to celebrate each breath as the eternal yogi, the emperor.
the emperor manifests through each thought. as the goddess of realities that is expressed through the harmony in the exhale, we exhale through each breath to be the essence of inner joy. we enjoy the flow of the manifested as the divine artist- the siddhi enabled through our vibrant inner joys and the knowing. the siddhi of perfection flows in the perfect alignment of knowing and the inner desire. perfected manifestation of heart's desires as source energy becomes reality through the being and human form we are.
connect each day into oneness through the lamp where the guru's presence as wisdom is and our mind serves the knowing that is source joys.
karma is that which keeps us human. dissolve karma to be source. karma burns effectively when we alight the lamp each day to dissolve all the mundane that is good, bad and ugly into divine attachments born from the bhakti- the divine lovemaking to then allow realities that are in tune with source and our inner completion of human purpose. the emperor's rich and single pointed desire is to want to love source even more for here is wisdom more potent to be one with source. bhakthi and wisdom is one and love is in its meaning the sparkling reality.
yes love as the human reality is the oneness that is harmony, ahimsa, humility, peace and awareness and all angelic nature of oneness. love is the lord of life. love is the intellect that has condensed to wisdom in all the living.
blessings of each to each!
anbe sivam, in oneness we are love, the supreme reality! as in being we are the emperor, the master.

essence of yogic grace, the guru purnima july 18th 2008
Current mood: luminous
Category: Life
aum namah sivaya

jai guruve thunai, the wonderful guru within! jai guruve thunai, the guru who is all forms! jai guruve thunai, where wisdom guides the intellect!
ancient beloveds of the knowing,
below are tapasyogi kalathi adiyen aadi nandhi's offerings as to enhance the inspired grace of knowing and our collective oneness of consciousness from the yogic depth on this special day, the guru purnima, this full moon.
unfolding before us is an auspicious time. the auspicious time of guru purnima when all the meditative masters themselves look upward to their guru and heaven's goodness flows.
to be conscious of the shift in energy and aware of how to allow the receiving-
- beyond the mind's stored karma that surfaces up as perceiving, there resonates the ancient mantra joys and the knowing that took form/s to give. if those sacred bonds were cut through the mind's past, send waves of healing energies of love to express the heart's ultimate gratitude of having received the divine awakening experiences. gratitude to the masters who 'came into us' through our pilgrimages, books, music and all other ways- those who lit the lamp fire within us that we nurture each day and night.
the ones who give us the ancient resonance (mantras that have been cooked well over many years of single pointedness) and the inner guidance is our guru. the one who dwells in the mantra energies is the guru. mantras that have been 'cooked' are potent as they are the rich ancient presence. mantras connect tapas lives of the masters who spent entire lifetimes dwelling to be in the now moment while in body and now as spirit, simply dancing as presence in the mantras!
- open our arms and breathe out knowing we are the five elements in the slow inhale, and in the retained breath surface to the NOW moment, exhaling in the knowing above. in the inhale, conscious of ourselves in the five elements and gently surrender into oneness. in the inhales hereafter, collapse into the sacred lamp lit at the root chakra- worship our guru/s here where in karmic reality we thrive. guru's grace from the root chakra is most complete of angelic essence since its this fire that keeps us in the love of inner seeking- guided through the muck to have the mind as the blossoming lotus above.
- alight a lamp. its the lamp that condenses all altars, shrines, temples, all places of worship to then be allowing of the ancient joy presence of the divine we invoke. connect to the divine, each in their own beautiful ways to climb above breath, inspired to allow oneness to dwell. within this lamp is the guru's grace that enables 'asaiba gayathri', the digestion of all the past joyful divine experiences such as visits into the sanctum santorum of all the sacred places that enshrine the divine.
this guru purnima holds the grace of angelic manifestation with the wake up call to serve and be free through being the immense awake spirit simply enjoying the inspired doings that unfold as completions that fulfills. here dwells abundance, wellbeing and the inspired knowing to be spirit- the angelic form.
jai guruve thunai!
blessings of each to each!
tapasyogi kalathi adiyen aadi nandhi Kabir is one of India's well known mystics, who lived in the 15th century. Kabir's life message was derived from his spiritual experiences. Kabir is not easily categorized as a Sufi or a Yogi -- he is all of these. He is revered by Muslims, Hindus, and Sikhs. He stands as a unique, saintly, yet very human, bridge between the great traditions that live in India. Kabir says of himself that he is, "child of Allah and Ram.". In expressing his vision, he bluntly criticized both muslims and hindus for their blind attachment to dogma and ritual forms. Kabir's life was filled with miracles. As a baby found abandoned, he was adopted by a muslim family. He had deep yearings to the spiritual path and he realized that he needed a Guru. Kabir was drawn to Ramananda and was afraid that Ramananda would not accept him as a disciple since he was a muslim. Kabir hid on the steps down which Ramananda walked on the way to his daily bath early morning. Stumbling over Kabir, in surprise he uttered, "Ram!" After this, Kabir claimed, he had been initiated and was now Ramananda's pupil. Years later, Ramananda saw in Kabir the mature spiritual aspirations and he began teaching Kabir formally. One of the most loved stories associated with Kabir is told of his funeral. Kabir's disciples disputed over his body, the muslims wanting to claim the body for burial, the hindus wanting to cremate the body. Kabir appeared to the arguing disciples and told them to lift the burial shroud. When they did so, they found fragrant flowers where the body had rested. The flowers were divided, and the muslims buried the flowers while the hindus reverently committed them to fire. Kabir's poetry: "If all the land were turned to paper and all the seas turned to ink, and all the forests into pens to write with, they would still not suffice to describe the greatness of the guru." -Kabir Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu. May All Beings in the Universe be Peaceful and Happy! The work before us to ensure that not one old cows and oxen used all its life is taken for slaughter! These old cows have been milked all their lives. The oxen are made to lift heavy load each day under the hot sun until the day their legs have given way or old age has caught up on them. Most of the old cows would have been tied in a shed with minimum grazing all its life- milked each day and fed hay in its shed. They may not have walked more that 2 miles any day of their life. The unsuspecting animal is then, one day sold by the owner to end up at the cattle auction centers. Upon being bought up by slaughter houses that caters especially to the needs in the state of Kerala and exports to the Middle East, the animals are jam packed together in trucks. Most are made to walk- a distance of over 50 kilometers each day over 3-4 days. Their sad journey begins with their tails being broken to create pain and fear and getting them to walk. Next, the herder starts applying chili (pepper) powder in their anus. Throughout the route, minimal water is given. When in extreme exhaustion, the animal falls to the ground unable to move further, chili powder is applied into their eyes. This slow torture is until they reach the slaughterhouse in Kerala. At the slaughterhouse, it is obvious to these frightened animals that death awaits them. They try to resist the final death walk. Death in these primitive slaughterhouses is slow, even in the final end of this torture especially when killed 'hallal' style, i.e, neck slit to bleed the animal. Karma Yoga: Nandhi Newsletter June 2008
Current mood: inspired
Jai Guruve Thunai aum
Divine One, These moments we live, these times, are powerful in the shift of collective consciousness. A newer age of higher consciousness is lifting us through the greater compassion we extend towards all the living and sharing of the abundance we create. Our dream of compassion & sharing is a giant reality through our action and energies coming together. Just returned from a profound and inspiring trip to ancient India. This trip/pilgrimage/work was to get Amma Sanctuary started and to meet the wonderful Gurus who had been our guides, inspiration and support in creating the Ariven Community and the launch of our debut project- Amma Sanctuary. Ariven means, the Awake. When we come together with an intent of goodness that will uplift humanity, that very thought itself sets our vibrations higher. With action as a community of one, we will mark history. Our Vision is: Create hundreds of sanctuaries worldwide. Feed the needy. Abolish hunger with the allocation of over 50% of the vegetarian produce from our organic farms. Animal rescue. Save the lives of aged animals from being sent to their death at slaugherhouses Bring together our community of Oneness, the Ariven. Create alternative fuels to save our forests. Be the backbone to organic farming. Grow organic vegetarian food intelligently to sustain a global vegetarian diet. A few pictures of Amma Sanctuary below:
Meet Tillai Devi, our first Animal Elder. She was saved from the slaughter on May 19 2008. This photo was taken just a few moments after she was untied. She will now spend her remaining years of retirement with us in peace, with love and our respects. Tillai Devi had been milked all her life. She was sold because she ran dry of milk and she had become old. She was already bought up for slaughter and her neck was tied in such a manner, in a small vehicle, that her body could not move- to accommodate space for more old animals to be packed in together- enroute for slaughter. When we saved her, we felt that we pushed the start button. The start to a grand reality that will in its course of time save hundreds of thousands of old animals.

Mukudal Village Farm/Our Pilot- Sanctuary: May 19 2008 was an auspicious Full Moon. As though to bless us, the clouds crossed the sky to provide us the much needed shade as this was a hot season. We started the sacred fire (yagna) late afternoon to invoke all the Divine to guide, protect, nurture and grow our intent. As the yagna fire rose, the first drizzles of the season fell on us. Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu. May All Beings in the Universe be Peaceful and Happy!

The work before us to ensure that not one Animal Elder is taken for slaughter! These old cows have been milked all their lives. The oxen are made to lift heavy load each day under the hot sun until the day their legs have given way or old age has caught up on them. At the slaughterhouse, it is obvious to these frightened animals that death awaits them. They try to resist the final death walk. Death in these primitive slaughterhouses is slow, even in the final comfort of ending this torture especially when killed 'hallal' style, i.e, neck slit to bleed the animal. An end to an animal that has served us all its life. Is it not amazing how we collectively are participating in this crime by not doing something about it?

Yogic Tips: - The inner light- Of all the yoga accessories/products and activities, the single most important possesion for a yogi/ni is a lamp. To light a lamp/candle at least once a day is an inner journey to connect with Source and empty all the files of thoughts/karma/residue/attachments our mind acquires. Being connected to Source, the once a day ritual of lighting the lamp awakens the joy that enables the discipline of a yogi. More on the Lamp - Daily planning of work- Know your paper and writing form to be the first step towards physically manifesting thoughts. Vaastu is an ancient vedic science of layout planning of buildings that is said to be influencing peace and prosperity of the inhabitants. Vaastu science deals with the management of cosmic energy in building & structures. Apply the principles of "Vaastu" in the way you write your thoughts to be set into manifestation. For more on Vaastu, click here.
- Saying grace before eating food- The act of feeding the hungry is an effective way of burning karma and allowing grace of well being to flow, beyond the simple satisfaction & the joys in giving. In yogic philosophy, it is a natural etiquette to offer our food to others before eating. Even the intent to feed others is powerful as thought is energy. Before eating, inhale the aroma of the food, hold/retain the the breath and imagine all the world hunger being fed through the aroma. Feel yourself as the cosmic womb nourishing all the living and bless the food before you. This simple but empowering act creates all the good energies of related to food as in digestion and dharma.

Chitra Pournami- The Full Moon of Abundance
Current mood: calm
Category: Parties and Nightlife
aum
divine one,
a note about this sacred full moon of 19th and 20th april 2008- chitra pournami.
this full moon is potent in the energies of abundance in spiritual and material wealth. every year, at this full moon called 'chitra-pournami', nandhi would go with his guru siddhar rajaswamy to the forest temple nambi hills. the puja was the invocation of all the siddhars, the yogic beings of light and the special reverence to lord vishnu.
lord vishnu as energy field is our mind that is aligned to source. full moons are the moment when the mind is more tuned to the moon's influence. the mind sustains us. this full moon, the facet of the divine as that which sustains, nourishes and guides us towards abundance is magnified since it is considered to be the brightest full moon of the year- called chitra pournami. celebrating chitra pournami not only aligns our mind into abundance with ourselves being more source guided, but also uplifts humanity.
the deeper meaning of chitra pournami is also in the knowing that arises as wisdom after a near-death experience. the divine entity chitragupta, death's accountant is also the handler of wisdom from one birth to the next - the wisdom that flows to intellect that contains the rare knowledge of human transformation to be the angelic being.
when nandhi experienced the beautiful energies of the chitra pournami satsang with siddhar rajaswamy, the first thoughts were- "how lucky am i?" siddhar energies are powerful as energies are derived from the natural flow, like swimming efficiently along with currents- as in bringing together time, the mantra energies, the intent and sacred fire together through the oneness of the circle. to experience this 'flow' as grace and joys is 'luck'. when the "I" has become the "i", we fly. when the "i" has dissolved to be source, we glide.
looking forward to our shared divine breath and the fire of oneness we will dance in at the rooftop of our mind.
for those who cannot be in the physical with us in our circle- alight your daily lamp and lets entwine to be source energies lit, awake, abundant and fulfilled! with you as the ancient being as the oneness celebrated!

Yogic Insights of the Siddhars: All within the Moment!
Current mood: luminous
Yogic Insights of the Siddhars: All within the Moment! The art of saying Namaste: When we say Namaste with our two palms together, we are not only acknowledging the Spirit within us and acknowledging the Divinity of the Spirit of the other person but also setting into momentum the energy of receiving grace. Siddhar Raja Swamy would advise Nandhi saying, "Every time you say Vannakam (Vannakam is the Namaste said in the Tamil language) to another person look or/and imagine the other person’s feet and imagine bending down in humility to receive blessings of the other person as a pranaam. When we are humble and ready to receive grace, we create a huge void within ourselves that accommodates the fullness of Source. Imagining a pranaam to another is to receive blessings from the other person. It is not necessary to physically fall at another’s feet. Imagining with the mind is sufficient as thought is reality" This imagination of ’doing a pranaam’ while greeting each other with namaste is a powerful exercise that is done with humility, love, respect and knowing of Divinity in all. Getting started with your daily yoga/meditation- Touch the floor and connect with Mother Earth. Identify the body as that of Mother Earth. Recognize the first sheath of ourselves- the body consciousness belonging to Mother Earth and express gratitude. This is an empowering prayer that not only allows us to receive healing energies but also, it turns our awareness into the present moment and enables the mind to flow into the inward journey with ease. Each breath is life and death- Every inhale through the day remember to retain breath at root chakra conscious of straightening the lower spine. Old age begins with the weakening of the lower back. A yogi is on a rejuvenative journey through every day, every moment. Retain the breath atleast for a milli-second. This aware breath kindles the rejuvenate fire that enable the erect spine of a yogi and enables each breath to be the expansive infinite moment. Yogis know each breath as birth in the inhale, the inner journey within the retention of breath, the experience of Being in the exhale and death in the gap between the exhale and the inhale. Burp! Yes, it is good to burp (though you might wish to do so privately!) Burping gets rid of air in the digestive tract. It enables the digestive fires to be in harmony. The harmony of the digestive tract helps the mind to be still and alert. Reciting the mantra:When reciting the mantra, think of ourselves like a baby calling for our mother. Recite the mantra with totality and do not let go until that Divine Presence is before us. The intensity of sound with each thought layered over the next same thought becomes resonance that is the Presence of the Divine awakened within the mantra recited. The mind and thought merges in that resonance to be the Light of Presence that we evoke through mantras. Increase the intensity of thought with the resonance generated and the Presence is more alive! Saying Shanthi at the end our meditative journey/ our daily yoga: "SHA" is the sound of energy within momentum (in most languages the sound ’sa’ denotes movement i.e, in English- speed, station, schedule, slow, etc). The sound "E" is nurturing harmony of the Goddess. When we say "Shanti" we are invoking and setting in to momentum the energies of peace that we experience being in the womb of Source. The intent of peace within the prayer of Shanthi is an energy that we send out to receive in our external realities. It is in energies of harmony that thoughts manifests to reality efficiently. Saying "Shanti" three times affirms the intent and energy we send out. It is preferable to say Shanti in one entire breath. One breath in yogi terms is one whole life time. An intention is empowered when the mind is used in fullest capacity ie. in one complete breath as a life surrendered to the intent of peace. Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul. It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart.-Mahatma Gandhi

mahasivrathri thoughts
Current mood: blessed
MAHASIVRATHRI THOUGHTS!
some of us played fun games like holding our breath for as long as possible when we were children. the ancient knowing to know the wisdom womb within ourselves in our surrender to inner joys that holds each thought.
hold our childlike breath like we would hold as a little chicken in hand- delicate and with love. till this chicken grows to be the sacred womb of each thought that holds the ancient awake resonance within, having consumed our consciousness through inner joys.
thoughts become thought as the garland, the largest thought of oneness holding the immense void is the surrender. breath becomes mantra. mantra is the presence within breath and beyond breath breath, the guru. mantra and thought having become one, ride the eternal breath- brahmari nadi. know sacred brahmari nadi by the joy of spirit gently transforming the sound into vibrations- much like a dolhins emit of resonance.
alight with our inner lamp fire the experience of each inhale and exhale, celebrate being spirit.
time to sit and be still
stillness consumed by sacred inner joys that is bhakthi alight!
may mahashivrathri's grace of the magical now- be ours in the primal awakening.
anbe sivam, in oneness is love!

Universal Yoga Day
Current mood: blessed
Category: Goals, Plans, Hopes
aum Universal Yoga Day: Maha Shivrathri Feb 20 onward to culminate on March 6 2008
Divine Radiant One, In our yogic journey is the recognition of the subtle energy of the Spirit that enables mastery over matter, time and space. We are here as angelic beings with a vital purpose- to be awake. When we are awake, humanity's consciousness rises. Maha Shivrathri is the vortex of time that awakens us to be Spirit- the objective of yoga. In the movie "Secret", we are told to hold a thought, emotionalize it and want it badly enough and manifestation takes place. Where does karma play a part in our thinking? What prevents us from thinking 'out of the box' or limiting ourselves to poverty of thought is karma. The mind can be explained in this example - A baby elephant is tethered in chains and as the elephant grows up, although it could break the chains easily, its mind is stuck to the belief that it cannot. The mind is stuck in several patterns of the past that creates the momentum of the future. This pattern of the past on subtle and gross levels is karma. The moment we experience ourselves to be the Spirit rather than the mind and body, we break free from karmic limitations and we become the manifestor of the now moment. A yogic mind can hold a single thought not for a few minutes but for days, months and years since the Spirit is the master and the mind a good slave. A yogi is the Master, awake as Spirit. A Siva yogi has surrendered his/her destiny to Source and is a joyful instrument of the Divine. Lord Siva is worshipped as the Eternal Yogi. Every year, for over thousands of years, the single most important day for a yogi has been and still is- Maha Shivrathri, the Grand Night of celebrating the Supreme Spirit. Maha Shivrathri is the the culminated sacred night of celebration to be Spirit as by a continuos worship through the night (March 6th this year) keeping vigil worshiping Lord Siva, the Supreme Spirit that each of us truly are when awake. By observing Maha Shivrathri vigil, we experience the state of "Turiya", the state of higher consciousness that is beyond the states of sleep, dream and wake. The Turiya states of higher consciousness allows thoughts to manifest at ease since we are one with Source without our ego or play of the 'mind' in between. Saints who meditate through the whole year in seclusion come out just one day a year to bless all on this Maha Shivrathri night. The collective subtle energies of over 100 million people who live a household life in India observing Maha Shivrathri sets the huge subtle momentum for the rest of us. Observing Maha Shivrathri is an empowering gift you can give yourself. We burn karma many levels. We set forth intent. We align ourselves with Source. We awaken to pure wisdom. We become manifestors of the moment of now. We reap the immense blessings of Lord Siva to be Spirit. Most of us living the West (US) get a bonus blessing. India would have celebrated the Maha Shivrathri 12 hours before and the beautiful space has already been set for the West to simply enjoy- thank you Mother India! Tapasyogi Kalathi Adiyen Nandhi shares thoughts, on behalf of the Siddhar Masters to enable each of us to benefit from this auspicious period: - Begin observing Maha Shivrathri on this full moon, Wednesday 20th Feb. As the full moon wanes to be the new moon, March 6th Thursday- let ourselves from the physical realities slowly withdraw to be Spirit during the 14 days. - Light a lamp/candle every evening/night through the 14 day period. Cool the fire down with a flower petal after you have done your inner worship. For those wanting to meditate through 24/7 for the 14 days until Maha Shivrathri, choose one place where you meditate, sleep and not move. - On the first day, the full moon, Wed 20th Feb- think of this night as the initiation night. Sing/recite mantras. Allow Lord Siva to give you the inner call to begin observing Maha Shivrathri. Light your inner lamp! - When worshipping Lord Siva, it is important to "be" Lord Siva to worship Lord Siva. In otherwords, climb up through your chakras to the crown chakra to experience Lord Siva and then dwell on Lord Siva's mantras. Go into mantra recitation 24/7 or atleast in the entire wake state. - Nandhi goes into fasting during this period. He normally starts the process by consuming dry fruits, fruits, nuts and herbs. As he meditates to go deeper within, the body begins to feel self sufficient to go beyond hunger and the mind slowly breaks free from the normal patterns of sleep and wake states. The goal is to acheive the state of Turiya before or on March 6, the night of Maha Shivrathri. The body and mind has waned like the full moon to new moon to be the Spirit that celebrates the Supreme Spirit. - An important part of Maha Shivrathri is accumulating good karma through feeding people. Feeding the hungry persons, especially the saddhus (renunciates) and the poor during this period stimulates huge subtle energies. We feed ourselves with subtle energies through the physical feeding of the hungry. Every year we pool in our contributions together to feed over 4000 saddhus and the poor in many spiritual centers during this period. We welcome you to be a part of this Maha Shivrathri dharma! - While observing the daily pilgrimage within to be Lord Siva, feel the chakras as your home and ascend on it. Begin the full moon conscious of the root chakra. Climb above above the navel (be celibate). Slowly climb up into the third eye/ crown chakra by Maha Shivrathri night. - Maha Shivrathri is about surrender and dissolving away all that is ego, 'me', 'my', "I", 'mine'. Cold water bath helps tame the body. Hatha yoga helps dissolve body consciousness while meditating. Putting our entire focus inward into the light effectively starts expanding our experience of whom we really are as the externals slowly reduce importance. - Ayurveda herbs taken for cleansing or strenghtening or body/mind works more effectively during this period. - After prolonged meditation, have a spoon of ghee. When we meditate, especially when chanting aloud, we burn different brain cells that are replenished by ghee. - Experience Lord Siva as in the five elements- earth as body, water as our intellect, fire as our wisdom and inner joy, air as the states within and beyond breath and ether as being the Spirit. - While worshipping, connect the inner light to the lamp outside us, the sun/moon and the yagna fire if it is lit. - On the night of Maha Shivrathri March 6, observe vigil, worshipping Lord Siva. Break your fast next day after feeding others first. - As a Siva Yogi, know ourselves to be One. Know yourself to be Lord Siva, The Eternal Yogi, during the journey to celebrate Maha Shivrathri. May Source be our awake experience that is alight as blessings of Maha Shivrathri. Blessings of each to each! aum namah sivaya jai guruve thunai tapasyogi kalathi adiyen nandhi

Siddhar Maha Sivaswamy in Samadhi

Question: Could you tell more about the purpose and the passion?
Nandhi:
the ones who brought great changes to humanity as leaders also have been noted to have had a phenomenal sexual drive. in the theories of 'pranic healing', the largeness of the muladhara fire is said to be the extent the person is capable of manifesting.
history has shown that the most atrocious and brutal tyrants when woken up spiritually did change the course of humanity- like emperor constantine, emperor ashoka.
when nandhi realized that he would leave india for good, he did an intense pilgrimage meeting his masters and asking them for- a. a photo that conveys their energies/blessing b. a few words of wisdom for humanity. siddhar mahasivaswamy, a realized master who lives in the forest, after descending into samadhi for half hour emerged out to say these words- 'may the muladhara of humanity be awake'.
the one who knows purpose is christ and the realization of our divine purpose happens when our third eye is awake.the third eye opens with divine divine grace that has been built with lifetimes of divine journeying.
from the muladhara fire that makes babies, the fire reaches the third eye energy field to manifest the highest purpose. the reason why ganapathy is worshiped is to enable transform passion to purpose.
with the knowing of divine purpose, the passion fire is orgasmic, inspired, and flowing to be the creative juices that rejuvenate. fulfillment and abundance flows naturally from the awake muladhara that is connected to the knower of purpose.
all the sacred joys in the knowing of the inner fires!
