What happened to Andre?

The new season of Project Runway is starting up on Wednesday. Our PR Nights won't be the same. Jocelyn is now living up in SF and won't make it over... and Laura is living in Manteca so she's out too. And Berenice... well I don't know yet if she's in, or out. We shall see.

Tonight I'm going to my first Sharks game of the season. Should be fun.

This Sunday [yesterday], me & Laura spent all day (noon until 10:30 p.m.) at Camera 12 for the International Latino Film Festival. For the most part--the films were very good. There was one whopper, Happy Desert which was the last film we saw. It was a Brazilian film about how a girl is raped and then becomes a sex-worker. There wasn't much dialogue and the camera shots were incredibly annoying, one guy said he felt car-sick after the movie, and I agreed. The film was just all over the place. The best film we saw was El Violin. Again, not much dialogue but unlike Happy Desert (or Deserto Feliz) the film said a lot.

And that's about all I have to say on this blog for now. I have less than two hours before I have to leave for the game and I'd like to read more of the Jodi Picoult book my sister loaned me.

I'm chillin here in my apartment, cooking dinner (my fave home cooked comfort food--korean baked chicken, rice and artichokes), waiting for tonights episode of America's Next Top Model. The short-dog is laying by the door for Nathan to come home. Speaking of Nathan, he's inspired me to blog more consistently as he's promised to write "30 blogs in 30 days", all of which so far have been amusing. Whereas this blog probably won't be.

Auh, what a simple life I seem to lead.

So the new fall season of tv has kicked off. I caught the premiere of Heroes on Monday. It's off to a good start and didn't focus on too many characters in the first episode--which was one of my biggest complaints of last season. Though--who knows how Heroes- Origins will play out, seems a little soon for a spinoff. Then again, I don't have too many shows to watch as so many were canceled last season. CW BASTARDS.

My Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix movie review is up on my blog. It's not too lengthy, I promise you. A couple of things worth mentioning not in the blog: Props to the female characters Tonks & Luna "Loony" Lovegood for adding some humor as well as one of the most touching moments in the film (at the end when Luna tells Harry she was so sorry to hear about his Godfather). My tears ran faster.

Also, I confirmed via IMDB that the actress playing Tonks (Natalia Tena) was indeed the girl from About a Boy (Ellie)... I had thought so when I saw the film but wasn't 100% sure.

Okay. That's all for now. Wow this could almost be a real myspace blog instead of just a link to my real blog.

art auction & fashion show!

i am super fucking annoyed at trying to post a bulletin on this, so i'll post a blog in the meantime.

hey everyone,
are any of ya'll artists or know of local artists???

i am helping to organize an art auction to coincide with this event:

there will be a couple of hundred people @ this event and it's a really good way to get your art promoted out there!

we are looking for people to donate an art piece for the auction, or even just donate part of the proceeds. we can have set minimums as well, whatever you chose.

also--if you are interested in going to the fashion show, then please get in contact w/ me as well. tickets are $10. and benefit the Bill Wilson Center (teen homeless shelter)  & also $$$ will be used to establish a Youth Scholarship Fund for "at-risk" youth..........................
