Have you ever seen "Welcome to the Doll House"? I swear I was almost as geeky as that girl until I was about 13. Today I remembered a day when I was in 5th grade and it made me laugh out loud.
It was during my first few weeks of middle school, which was really scary. I was looking around at the kids in my class and I noticed that they all had writing on their binders. The writing said "I love Jimmy" or "I love G.R." etc. and it was so cool to have that on your binder. Everyone who was cool suddenly had crushes on the opposite sex. I was like shit, I gotta do something about this, so that I can fit in.
I remember looking around the class and thinking, "I don't love any boys at all". So I thought, "well, who do I love?". Immediately an image of my puppy and my kitty popped in my head and I was flooded with feelings of love! I thought, "awesome!" So I remember taking out a big pen and writing boldly across my binder, "I love my puppy" and then beneath it, "I love my kitty".
The next day this really cool kid, (like, really cool, he was into hip hop and was the greatest dancer and all the girls liked him), grabbed my binder and said "oooh, who does Sarah love?!! ooh, let me see who sarah loves!!" and I was like uh oh. ...and he saw what I wrote and started laughing so hard and shouting, "sarah loves her kitty and her puppy!" All the kids started laughing and passing my binder around!
I was so embarrassed!!
and ofcourse when I came home crying "mom, please I need a new binder...TOnight!" My parents were like, "there is nothing wrong with being proud of your puppy, what;s so wrong with that? why should we have to get you a new binder?" Oh man, fifth grade ended up being the year of constantly trying to hide my binder from anyone who could see it.
I'm so happy that I can now look back and laugh!
Anyway, I was just thinking that I should write more in my "blog", I know this story is totally random. whatever just thoughts in my head....thoughtss..s.ss.s ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

we followed Rademacher from Fresno to Modesto




Mike was like, all crazy in Rademacher's van




that night we made our way to Turlock




and all 9 of us slept in the living room of sweet Suzanne the piano goddess




the next morning she took us to the town's most famous restaurant




and we all flipped out with excitement because look who sat at the bar once!




and look who ate at a table here once!

we have a 9 hour drive to Eureka ahead so we better hit the road




ahhhh!! it's just so beautiful so we must pull over and run around!

Eureka was a blast. The next day we drove to Portland. We had a battle of the bands at a rest stop. no literally, we fought eachother, I was bleeding.




Greer punched me and my jaw hurt, and Brad was like, all proud.





but they made it up to us with hugs and kisses, and we were off to Portland to play another show with the best band ever, Rademacher!!xoxo

show for myself

Many of you have asked to be invited to the show for myself. While I am flattered by your requests, I must reiterate that this is a show for me and my eyes only. The reason being that my apartment is very very small, and with my amp set up there is just no room for anyone else. I'm sorry you will miss this one though, as it will be my greatest show to date. I am renting a really cool laser light system that will change lights and effects with the music. Behind me I am setting up a huge video screen with footage of me in high school musical theatre productions. Mostly me as Ado Annie from Oklahoma. Anyway, oh and a few nude shots, but that's not the point. The point is this show is for me, and I'm sorry but there is no room for anyone so please no more bribes, special, requests, ect. ect.
