pray for all us sinners, now in the hour of our death

Pray for all us sinners, now in the hour of our death.

Not really, I'm actually in quite a decent mood. I've been exercising a lot more lately, bicycling, mostly. As a result I haven't felt this well in a while. I also am working on another band project that I think should work out a little better than the last one did. I know that I learned a few things about how to approach a cover band from my last fiasco, which I concede was mostly my fault. This band's strength is in its vocal harmonies and of course, ME ON LEAD GUITAR!!!!!. I'm not really a great guitar player but I sure do love it. It just makes me happy to be able to create so many expressions out of wood, metal, electricity and flesh. These are some of my favorite things. The band doesn't have a name yet but our catalogue of songs is gettting bigger and bigger and we are on our way to getting out there and gigging. Well, I gotta go. I've got band practice soon and I have to get ready. take care

I've fucked it all up again!!!
Current mood: contemplative

well, I've done it again. I think I've done my yearly major fuckup. At least I've gotten it out of the way, and there's still 4 months left in the year!!! I just hope  I don't go over on my allowances of fuckups this year... Like I do most years. I've fucked up so bad that my entire band has left me and decided to work with other people. I was upset and confused at first, but now I'm just relieved. I was getting a bit tired of the responsibility of playing every weekend(haha), and tired of playing cover songs that I didn't feel comfortable singing in the first place just because they were bar songs and they weren't in my keys of expertise. I talked to Matt Allen, the guitar player for Illegal Smile, and he said "at least I have a job so I can afford to take a break". I agreed and agreed. I just wanted to write about that shit to get it out of my head so I can sleep and go to work in the morning, actually I have to be there in an hour and a half!!!! shit!!!! later

Life's been good to me... so far!
Current mood: cold

life's been good lately and I've been pretty busy putting the new band together and getting in playing shape. I'm happy to say that we played our first gig last saturday night and it was a huge success!!!! We call ourselves Illegal Smile and I think this is gonna be a very beneficial business opportunity for us all. Its been kinda hectic for me since we play covers and I've played mostly originals for the last 8 years or  so, but I think we pulled it off very well considering what we had to work with. I'd really appreciate if you guys could show your support and come see us at our next 2 shows coming up on July 22nd, and august 5th at Kats pub In wilsonville. I haven't blogged in a while, but I want to pick it up again. Later

Fleetwood Mac
Current mood: angry
Category: Music

I was just listening to the radio last night and some fleetwood mac  came on. That was when I realized that I've never been completely convinced that  Christine Mc Veigh was actually a woman or that Lindsay Buckingham was really a man. They both seeem questionable to me.

weird wild shit
Current mood: crappy

I kinda hate having a job. But I like having money. It's possible to live without either one but it get's old when you have to mooch off everyone else and it gets to where nobody wants to be around you. You get to a point where ya just can't deal with it anymore. You have two choices, suicide (which presents a strong case) and looking for a job. The latter is very unpleasant for a number of reasons.

One, it's very difficult to find a job if you don't already have one. Nobody wants to hire an unemployed loser especially if he is over the age of 21 or 22. In my case, I'm 28 and if you're an unemployed musician it's about 10 times worse. You just say the word musician in an interview and it's over. Everybody knows some loser who thinks they are a musician and uses that as an excuse to not get a steady job. It really makes it hard for us professional losers when we really need some steady cash to live on.
