09:58 - Show your talent - post your Netherbird video
Current mood: stoked
Greetings!
As most know we have released the first Netherbird album, ”the Ghost Collector” in July on Pulverised Records. During September we released our first ever video for the track “The Blackest Breed”.
From day one, we have always felt that Netherbird is about all people involved, not just us who happen to play the instruments. The most important part of Netherbird is you who listen to our music and who care about what we create. So we now invite everybody interested to showcase your idea of what a Netherbird video should look like.
Use any song from the album and make your own video for it. Use your art, your raid video from wow, your mobile phone in school or what ever material you’d like. Please use only your own stuff otherwise we cannot show it for copyright reasons.
Post your video at youtube.com and post the link to the video in this blog for the rest of the people to see!
At the end of the year, December 31st, we will also reward two people with some cool stuff (some shirts and stuff) and we will also post their videos as official netherbird videos at our profile and at Youtube.com. The two videos selected are
A. The one with the most views on Youtube B. The one with the highest rate (stars) on Youtube
Focus on doing something YOU like. That’s what matters!
Horns up and thanks for supporting the black bird!

09:08 - Interview in Metal Mirror PDF-zine (in german)
Current mood: intense
Nephente was interviewed by Germans first PDF-zine Metal Mirror (www.metal-mirror.de). In this interview he shares his thoughts on why downloads and albums are both important and some hints of how Netherbird has progressed with an extensive number of guest musicians and how things will progress from here.
16:43 - Want to become a Netherbird ambassador at a community?
Current mood: inquisitive
Netherbird is a band that exists for those who listen to our music and that is why the Internet is so important to us. It is the place where we can meet the only people we really care about: the listeners. That is why we will continue to work hard on myspace to continue to be in contact with all those who write and comment.
But we would also be available on other websites and would therefore continue to develop the idea of Netherbird ambassadors who are our official spokespeople on other communities. Today, there are two people (do say hello to them and add us if you use these sites):
Is there any site that you like to use where there are people who can appreciate Netherbird and our music? Do you want to get involved to spread what we do to others? If so, post a reply in our blog and tell what website you want to be Netherbird ambassador on.
You have to be there and be available to respond to messages, communications, add people and so on. What we can offer is that you get all the info you need from us. And would you get tired of promoting us at a site, try to find someone else to take over or tell us and we will try to take over until someone else can do it.
Some sites that we want to be representad at (just a examples): Facebook.com Uboot.com (you have to be able to speak German) Vkontakte.ru (you have to be able to speak Russian) Sonico.com (you have to be able to speak Spanish and /or Portuguese)
Do not hesitate to make suggestions on other sites as you like even if you don't want to represent the band yourself.
16:03 - Want to create a banner for the Ghost Collector?
Current mood: rebellious
Hello there, we need a banner for those who want to show their support for Netherbird and since we know that a lot of you guys out there are very talented we invite everyone interested to give it a try. We want the artwork from the album to be included along with our logo and the text "The Ghost Collector is out now" but the rest we leave up to you.
So if you feel like it, just use your ideas and post your suggestion as a blog response or mail it to artwork@netherbird.com. We will use one as our official one but the rest will be shown in the blog.
The webzine Bleeding for Metal has published an interview with Nephente. It is in German but if you know the language (or use babelfish or google) you get some answers to lyrical themes and such matters here:
04:46 - The massive reception!
Current mood: ecstatic
Greetings all, we are damn proud to say that the reception and reviews of "the Ghost Collector" have been exceeding our highest expectations. With a list of 30 positive reviews and a swarm of positive feedback from our listeners we are a damn proud band right now.
We already knew we had a flock of dedicated listeners around the world but we never thought we would be this tremendous support. Thank you all!
This gives us all the strength we'll ever need as we now are starting preproduction for our next effort!
Stay in touch and spread the word of the dark bird to your friends and allies!
