Thank you to everyone who stopped by to talk with us at either Nuke-Con or Mystic Fest (sometimes both)!  We had a lot of fun meeting and speaking with you all.  An extra thank you to those of you who purchased a shirt.  Because we're non-profit corporation, this is our only way of raising funds -we really appreciate it!

We are starting a busy October with 3 Announcements.

Nevermore Update

Well Everyone, we had our big candidate meet and greet last night and it went great. I would like to thank all the candidates and the current team for coming down. We all had a good time and some good food at the Brazenhead.

We will be releasing the names of our newest Jr. Investigators in just a couple of days.

Other cool things:

Amanda S has been voted up to Director status resuming her previous spot as a Senior Member of the group - Congratulations to her.

Shannon W finally has a real Nick Name in the group - "Miss Direction" - also we forgot to mention last night that she was moved from Jr. Investigator to Investigator - Congrats as well.

What is coming up:

Weekend of Oct 3 is going to be a 2fer.

We will have folks at MysticFest - www.next-mill.com/Mysticfest2008 - Just like last year we will have our T-shirts for sale and if you have an investigation request you can always stop on by and ask in person.

We will also be at NUKE-CON this year - www.nuke-con.com - we are planning on having some discussion tables here as well as our normal display - come on down and check it out.

We are also currently planning on making various appearances at the Mystery Manor this year www.mysterymanoromaha.org during the month of October, so check our the best Haunted House in Omaha (by the way, from all of our research, we would say it really is haunted see our upcoming report for more)

We also have some other public appearances in the works so keep an eye out.

Nevermore News

Hello Everyone,

Well it has been a very busy few weeks for the Nevermore Folks, but we have a lot of news coming up. Our evening with Nightwatchers was exceptional, we will have a bigger write up in the very near future. We also have a couple of public outings that we hope to have you come meet us at. And lastly we are finally wrapping up our new investigator search.

Some Changes

Hello Everyone,

If you have had a chance to check out our page you can tell we are making some changes at Nevermore. We are all really excited with some of the things that are coming up and can't wait to unveil them to everyone so keep your eyes and ears open.

Aside from the new page layout, we also will have a new team maintaining our MySpace page Angie - aka "RedShirt" and I (Matt - "Chalk Line") will be the main MySpace folks, but expect to see content from anyone in the group.

I know that by now you are wondering about Steve "Mr. Blond", don't worry about him, he is taking a little break from the MySpace page, but expect to see things from him as well, he is also going to be working on some side projects that we are all really excited about.

Also, be expecting to see some new faces in the group as we wrap our our investigator search.

Were looking for a few good investigators!

Wanted: Potential candidates to be considered for investigators with "Nevermore Paranormal Research and Investigations"

Duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following;

-Must be interested in ghost hunting itself and understand that you're playing "for the love of the game". This is not a hobby for thrill seekers; it's a largely unrewarding hobby for all the hunt time you will put into it and on average you'll spend more time analyzing evidence than you will be hunting for ghosts. Most of the treasure in these hunts will be the very few and rare times you get something (be it a brief moment witnessed or getting hard evidence) in the vast land of material you'll dig through.

-Must have plenty of free time and be available for a hunt on short notice as you will be called up to hunt with less than 24-48 hours notice at times.

-Must be willing to donate $25 quarterly dues and on occasion help the group out with getting batteries, refreshments or supplies for a hunt.

-Must be willing to be involved in all aspects of ghosthunting, which includes hunting, analyzing evidence, attending public outings/fundraisers and handle special projects as needed.

-Must understand that while this is a hobby, it is a very demanding hobby and at times will eat up lots of your time. You must also be able to keep yourself professional while still having fun when you're "on the job" as you represent the group when you're on (and off) duty.

-Must be at least 18 years of age and capable of  lots of walking (including up and down stairs numerous times) as well as outdoor terrain while on the other hand keep an incredible amount of patience and sit in one spot at times.

-Must be willing to learn about many different aspects of the paranormal (besides ghosthunting) and keep an open mind to new ideas, theories and research as you go. This group is constantly learning and trying new ideas and theories and each hunt can potentially involve something completely new.

Having various tools or skills can give potential candidates more consideration which may include;

-A talent for researching and documenting

- Lots of useful contacts

-Having your own equipment (video recorders, digital or film cameras, DVR with camera's) or access to such equipment

-Past experience in a ghosthunting group

-Technical knowledge

-People skills

-Medical knowledge

- Many other skills can be considered useful so feel free to list your talents!
