Cymande Promised Heights Reissue!

Hello everyone.  We have released a great album from Cymande.  This album is a reissue compilation consisting of the tracks from their final LP

Plus two remixes by Ruffy and Tuffy and The Greenskeepers.   Also includes three bonus cuts from out takes from Chess Studios.  The band has recently played two gigs in the UK, after a 33 year hiatus.

If we get enough interest we may try and get the band out to the USA for a tour.

Lastly, NHR1 means Newhouse Records One.  One is defined as "Music," being the one universal language.  The language the we all can understand.  Rhythms, beats, vocals, song, and instrumentation, from all over the globe that can be appreciated by a worldwide listening audience.  We started by releasing some vintage funk, and then released the great band, Cymande - on an album called "Renegades of Funk."  They recorded their brand of funk and jazz in London, England during the early seventies.  They were all originally from the West Indies.  Then we went off to France and found a bunch of great french musicians and artists including the great, St Germain, who were all a part of the classic album; Paris Under a Groove (2003).  After, we worked with some west coast artists and recently released;

San Francisco Under a Groove (2005), from our homebase in SF, California.  So, we aim to continue to work with our artists, and find great music and then release it for the people.  This is a good starting point.  Thanks for your support and be well.
