Nick Luscombe at Buzzin’ Fly’s summer party this saturday at The End
Category: Parties and Nightlife
EWAN PEARSON, THE BEES AND NICK LUSCOMBE GET BUZZIN' AT BEN WATT'S BUZZIN' FLY SUMMER PARTY ON SATURDAY AUG 16 at THE END.
Buzzin' Fly Website
Following their cracking 5th Birthday in June, Ben Watt's Buzzin' Fly pulls out all the stops for their fourth party of the year at The End on Saturday August 16 as part of their ongoing bi-monthly residency.
Joining head honcho Ben Watt in the main room will be the stunningly wonderful Ewan Pearson who jets in from his adopted hometown of Berlin to serve up his unique steel-lined disco-techno-deep-house mix. From his early work on Soma through big-league remixes for Goldfrapp, The Chemical Brothers, Royksopp and the Pet Shop Boys to his gorgeous deeper Partial Arts collaboration with Al Usher on Kompakt and inventive album projects with The Rapture and Tracey Thorn, he remains one of the most respected and floor-rocking DJ-producers around. Don't miss! Fly resident Chris Woodward tops and tails the night with expert opening and closing sets.
In the Lounge, Flomotion and NME's Nick Luscombe sets the tone with some left-field crate-digging before Buzzin' Fly proudly invites the Isle Of Wight's electro-psychedelic folk-soulsters and Mercury Prize nominees, The Bees to deliver an exclusive extended DJ set in honour of their general excellence. (Oh, and they have a cool mix comp on Tirk just out). Expect a freestyle block-party mix of the dirtiest funk, tropicalia, hip hop, folk and reggae Isle-Of-Wight stylee!
Upstairs in AKA, the draw is the melancholy Belgian pop-disco of Aeroplane and Drumpoet Community's excellent deep don, Lexx who join the Warm DJs (Ali Tillett and Rob Summerhayes).
Summer ain't over til its over ... Buzz Buzz ...
