Strawberries?
Current mood: contemplative
Category: Quiz/Survey
Mr. Bainbridge and I had a discussion about strawberries. He said that girls like strawberries more than men.
So is this true?
Let me know. I told him the only person I ever knew that hated strawberries is a girl.
Yeah, I'm giving a poll on this! Yes or no?

Pittsburg Economy
Current mood: infuriated
Category: Life
It's official. Pittsburg is feeling the blunt of this impending economy. I am 0 for 3 at the drive thru here in town. The bulk pricing of straws must be up because they are not offering them with your strawberry frosty shake, concrete shake, or root beer float.

I am a viral web phenomenon!
Current mood: anxious
Category: News and Politics
Okay, so Mrs. Northstrom Bainbridge has been keeping quite a secret for the past couple of months from everyone including friends and family. I have a friend in NY that wanted to create a grassroots movement as a joke to create a candidate that no one knows to run for president for fun. Again, as a joke!Well, now it has literally blown out of proportion in the East and now West coast. The phenomenon hasn't really reached the midwest.
So, I'm a little embarrassed about the soon-to-be publicity this will create for me and my family. I haven't told anyone but Mr. Bainbridge. So sorry that I've been acting quite aloof lately. I've been in meetings in Topeka talking to people that can advise me on this situation for days and I've been getting phone calls off and on for the past month about this. That is why my show was cancelled this week. My friend sent me the link to the news back in NY.
I really don't know how to break this to everyone, but I thought I would try myspace first then facebook to reach everyone before the phone calls start in increase. If you want to check out the news report that was done in NY check out this link!
With love, Nikki Northstrom

I'm attending a training. And word is while we were at our training . . .film crews for the new Johnny Depp movie, "Public Enemies," were walking around our building finding a place to set up.
So wish me luck on getting an interview! Mom and I will be on the hunt!

Archaic Words
Current mood: amused
Category: Fashion, Style, Shopping
Remember, your girlfriend's teenage daughters do not want you to buy them thongs. Flip flops, yes. Thongs, no!
We no longer use the word, "thongs," to refer to the shoe that makes the flip flop noise.
"Thongs," are archaic. So we shall not use them again in reference to flip flops.
BTW: CNN reported today that a lady is suing Victoria's Secret because she was injured by one of their thongs. How she was injured? I really don't want to know. Why would you want your ::cough cough:: business on public record? I don't. However, according to the Smoking Gun, she was hit in the eye by a "decorative metallic piece."
Tune in next week when I discuss that I'm not a hooker. Toodles!

Sing along with me to the Indiana Jones score! (Explicit and Midnight drivel)
Current mood: nostalgic
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

In case I haven't been clear before, I am a movie fanatic. And a big Lucas and Spielberg nerd. Yes, nerd. This is coming from a young girl who would make up E.T. sequels with her babysitter's kids. Reenacted scenes from Star Wars and Indiana Jones from our childhood stage that we call our front porch. I was always Leia, Gertie, and Marion. It was good to be the only girl in the neighborhood; I was always the lead actress. Seeing childhood classics come back always have an obvious special place in my heart. The adventure, the folk lore, the fantastic!
I also love cool new trivia about the movies which helps create interesting conversation among family, friends, and few selected co-workers. It is an almost unknown fact that John Williams come up with lyrics first before creating his fabulous Oscar worthy score. Where did I find such a trivia gem? My favorite blog from one of my "MySpace" friends, Celebrity Autographs. But I must warn all movie buffs and the celebrity obsessed, there is an addiction that is hard to shake, especially when the author writes one everyday and you have been away from your computer for days and have to spend all evening catching up. Enjoy!
"Raiders March" John Williams

"Is there a zero?"
Current mood: argumentative
Category: News and Politics
It took overhearing me answer two questions to a political phone survey, before husband-O'mine, Mr. Bainbridge, guessed what I was up to.
"They asked you a W question, didn't they?"
"Yeah," hand over phone, "And apparently the scale does not start at zero! Crap, I have to give him a one."

This baby gave him a number 2.
