Joss Whedon’s Online Musical
Current mood: excited
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities
Apparently Joss Whedon has created a musical starring Nathan Fillion and Neil Patrick Harris (Doogie!) and it's only available online for a short time. I've done you the liberty of posting the website here and you can click on the link to open it in a new window.

I haven't watched all of it yet but I'm dying to so I'll do that now!
Update: It only streams so if you have a slow internet connection, it will be frustrating. Surely someone soon will have figured a way to put it onto You Tube though.

Elixir Photography
Current mood: mischievous
So, to make certain I’m all professional and whatnot, I’ve gone ahead and started Elixir Photography. I’ll now be available for children’s parties and Bat Mitzvahs. This weekend should prove to be new and exciting. The Tate Street Festival is on Saturday and, if you didn’t know, Jaime’s made it into a Carnivale this year. If $300 worth of puppets can’t get you out of the house then you should go ahead and give up. Please, come down to Tate Street and wander around, get some food, buy some stuff and see some great shows by not only various local bands but, also, local performers like the Ember Ellas. Believe me, there will be enough to fill your eyeballs up to the lids. Sunday is the Burlesque show at the Regency Room on South Elm Street. I can’t describe my hopes for this show. That being said, I’m going to get a martini right now. I’ll guess we’ll all know how it went if I get any good photos ne?

Flatrock Music
Current mood: accomplished
Adam and I attended the Flatrock Music festival a few weeks ago in the lovely town of Flatrock Village, NC. I'm posting the pictures now rather than earlier since I absolutely had to post the pictures of Ellie & Dan's wedding first. Now that I've had more time though, I've went ahead and put 'em up for anyone who is interested. I'd have to say that I've never had more fun camping out. I met loads of awesome people, and I aquired a really really great hat that I'll be wearing very soon when it gets colder. There's no pictures of the hat though, you'll just have to visit me in person if you want to see it.

Mashimaro
Category: Dreams and the Supernatural
So Chris gave me this ador-able little stuffed animal for my birthday and the tag said to go to the website. I found a bunch of flash animations at another website when I was looking around. Check them out. Apparently, Mashimaro is like Korea's answer to Sanrio and Hello Kitty. He's cute, mischevious, and like to fight dirty. Love it! Here's the site:

Birthday wishes and champagne dreams.
Category: Sports
I had a great birthday. Thanks to everyone that took me out, loved me. Just kidding, but it was a great birthday. So much so I hope to do it again next week!
Lunch at the Deli. Mmm. Also, we went to the Natural Science Museum and saw a kid-eating tiger. Those are the best kind. Dinner at Pho Vietnam. Spicy Clams with lotus stems and green onions. Asparagus crab soup with quail eggs.
Also, thanks to Andi who let me keep her and everyone else up until like 9 am. I'll try not to take advantage like that again.
Pictures soon!

Don't walk, run to this site: www.jesusoftheweek.com
My favorite quote from the emails they receive - "...because Jesus is like pot; cuz before you do it, you think it's stupid... but then once you light up a j you realize it's pretty rad. - Anonymous
Words of wisdom from another doobie-smoking, simile-spittin' Christian.

Here are the rules:
You have been tagged. Now you have to tell 6 odd (or not so odd) facts about yourself and select 6 of your friends to do the same. Once you post your 6 facts in a blog, choose 6 friends and send them a comment saying "You've been tagged - Come read my blog and do the same!" At the bottom of the blog you must list the 6 friends you tagged.
1. I used to live in Alaska when I was very young, for about three years. When I was in kindergarten, a volcano erupted somewhere near us. It was probably Mt. Augustine all though I'm not certain. I remember ash and soot carried down into the snow and made all the snow peppered and grey. We were warned not to eat the ice or snow as most kids will do, but of course, there was always one kid that did.
2. One of my fondest memories is hanging my head out of my bedroom window and spitting on my pitbull, aiming for his head. I loved that dog. He was never upset about the spitting. I've not owned a dog since.
3. When I am very very tired, I hear music in my head. Just sort of a languishing, anti-climactic kind of melody in the back of my head.
4. I have actually done this little survey before.
5. I hate the taste of licorice and anise and liver. Licorice and anise together just kill me. Imagine all three together. Ew.
6. I have intense scoliosis (which is a curvature of the spine and apparently hereditary) that at one point was diagnosed as being so severe to warrant having a metal rod fused to my spine. This surgery would have put me out of commission for up to a year in a wheelchair and exhaustive physical therapy. I did not go this route and have opted to try and treat it with exercise.
OK, I choose:
1. Shakie 2. Sunshine 3. Cedric 4. Adam 5. Hannah 6. Kelly
