Life can be a handful at times... but its amazing. "Live your life" what a good way to put it. I have learned an enormous amount about myself over the past few months, I would like to think that I have grown in a direction that suits what I want. Time will tell. Everyday is a new experience to learn from, if we can just be smart enough to pay attention and be open to learning and changing.

I downloaded the new Jimmy Eat World album last night. I'm going to hold my verdict for now. I don't want to rush to any conclusions. My initial thought is that I don't care much for it, but I have said that about every JEW album since Clarity. Then a few months down the road, sure enough I find it amazing. I think the problem is that I keep waiting for and expecting another Clarity.

Nashville... in 3 days! I'm looking forward to it.

oven mitt

Yesterday as I looked out my coworker's office window, I witnessed an elderly woman crossing Highway 31 South. Normally this wouldn't be anything exceptional other than the fact that she was wearing a night gown, house slippers and… an oven mitt on her left hand. She appeared to be headed towards Wal-Mart. I just don't understand what was going on, what caused her to leave the house with an oven mitt on her hand? Did she forget that the oven mitt was on her hand? Did the 90 degree weather not trigger the response "hey why is my hand hot?" I just don't know…

sad day in Huntsville...
Current mood: working

So... yesterday after making my way into Huntsville, getting all excited about eating at Q'doba, I was slapped square in the face with a sign on their door reading "Closed, thank you for your business". Bull Shit... I say. My heart was crushed. Not giving up on the idea of mexican style food, I tried Moe's southwest grill for the first time. A word of advice for those who have not tried Moe's, please do not waste you time there, it is no where even close to the caliber of Q'doba.

I am left with the prospect of going to Nashville every time I want Q'doba now. Not a bad thought, but why has the Huntsville Q'doba been forsaken. Speaking of Nashville, I need to get up there, I miss good ol' Peanut. I know I say that I need to get up to Nashville a lot, but I really do want to, it's just hard to get away sometimes. You know what I mean.

Things are crazy right now, that is all there is to it.

Fort Morgan

Molly and I spent last weekend down at Fort Morgan, Alabama. I couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Sun, ocean, beach, fishing and friends were all to be had. I went on my first off shore fishing trip with Jeff, Molly, Camaron and Michelle. We went out about 7 miles off shore. I don't know if you have an understanding of this, but that is a long way in a boat that is only about 20' long. I can't wait for our next trip to Fort Morgan.

So, what is there to talk about? It's been an eternity since my last post. For those of you have not heard, I'm back working at Regal Employment. Easily the best decision I have made in a long time. It feels good to be back. Other than that, nothing much has changed. I am at a point in my life where everything makes sense and everything fits, it's a good feeling.

It has snowed here the past two days. It has brought back memories of Michigan. It's crazy to think back to all the memories I have of my time in Michigan, they seem so distant, almost like they happened in another life. It's a strange feeling.  Am I that far removed? I miss my friends, my right hand man Lance and my time at the good old U of M Flint.

I'm tired, I don't want to sleep. I need to get a hair cut tomorrow. I hate getting my hair cut.

Starting my new job
Current mood: excited

So I will start a new job in the morning. I will be the new Human Resource Assistant at LESCO Logistics here in Huntsville. (www.lesco-logistics.com)  My responsibilities will be less than my previous work but I think it will be a great stepping stone to a solid HR career in the Huntsville area. Plus, the pay is better and the benefits are great. In addition, they are going to pay for a big chunk of my Masters degree. Its all good, but I am really going to miss my former coworkers at Regal, I had a great time working with them and it also gave me some killer experience under my belt. Well, Ill let you know how it goes.
