J.D. Nash & Red Circle and/or Backlash up for bids
Current mood: hopeful
Category: Music

OK...here we go...

This is our latest idea to raise much needed funds for the Tallent Family.

We are going to auction off "an evening with Backlash AND/OR J.D. Nash & Red Circle".

One or both of the bands will play a private performance for the winning bidder.

**there are some stipulations.  The gig must be booked for after Labor Day, 2008.  There must be enough room to perform and enough electricity to run everything (unless you want a completely unplugged show), the minimum winning bid for one band must be $400 or $800 for both and the show must be within a 150 mile radius of Topeka, Kansas unless travel expenses are paid by the winning bidder**

Nightclub/Bar/Restaurant owners are also encouraged to bid for this show.  The bands will also do their best to bring "special celebrity guests" along, although we can make no promises at this time.

All of the funds raised from this auction will go directly to the Tallent family to be used at their discretion for medical bills, travel expenses, memorial funds or WHATEVER they deem necessary.

As many of you know, Ashley (Princess Buttercup) Tallent lost her life in a tragic automobile accident in May.  This accident also left Backlash/Red Circle bassist Danny Tallent in critical condition.  He has recently been moved to the Madonna Center in Lincoln, Nebraska for further treatment.

These folks are part of the enormous Backlash/Red Circle family and the family is stepping up to help their individual families with much needed funds.  We are asking our fans and friends to step up as well.

Ever wish Red Circle played more gigs, or that Backlash would play JUST FOR YOU AND YOUR GUESTS?  Now you can have it.

Bids will be taken by message to this myspace account and will be posted on this blog and by bulletin on a daily basis.

Please remember who you're getting here...

J.D. Nash & Red Circle were submitted for 6 NAMMY nominations and are currently nominated for 2 Native-E Music Awards.  They've shared the stage with acts such as Skylar Wolf, Chris Caffery of Savatage and Tran-Siberian Orchestra Fame as well as the Queen of German Metal, Doro Pesch.

Backlash has shared the stage with such acts as Eddie Money, Cheap Trick and the incomparable Alice Cooper to name but a few.

This could literally be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and remember ALL of the funds raised go to a very wonderful cause.

If you have any questions...message me and I'll answer asap.

LET THE BIDDING BEGIN!

Sincerely,

J.D. Nash

For the families of Danny & Ashley Tallent
Current mood: blessed
Category: Goals, Plans, Hopes

I'm assuming that most folks in and around the area and in the music scene have heard about the tragic accident with claimed the life of Ashley Tallent and hospitalized her husband Danny Tallent, bassist for such bands as Backlash and Red Circle.

I have been approached by several people and bands wanting to help the family in some way. This is how you can help...

Backlash and Red Circle will be doing shows throughout the summer months coming up. At these shows you will be able to donate money to a fund that is being delivered to the families of Danny and Ashley.

What they use the funds for is entirely up to them. Travel expenses, medical and/or funeral bills, it's even been proposed that a scholarship fund be set up in Ashley's name.

We are merely the "collector's and deliverors of these donations.

Ashley was a friend to me as well as a band mate's spouse. To this end, Red Circle is beginning the donation process with $500.00.

I urge all the bands in this area that Danny was a part of, or worked with, or was a fan of, to donate what you can as well. Be it a donation from your band, collections from your fans, a benefit show, whatever you deem to be the best way of making this happen.

The music community in this area is a tight-knit one. We don't always see eye to eye...but we seem to always feel with one heart.

I'm hoping that in light of this fans and bands alike will be generous in their additions to this fund.

For more details you can contact me directly via this myspace site.

Keep the Peace!

J.D.
