Goin’ Country..and whatnot

Well...it must be all the Firefly/Serenity I was watching at the time, but I started going out country-dancing. I think it's rather ironic given how much I despised anything "country-fied" when I was spending summers in Ohio and Pennsylvania growing up. To this day camping to me equals sleeping unconfortably outside and being generally grouchy.

And yesterday I bought a pair of cowboy boots. Nothing too fancy as I didn't want to come off as a total poser. But, there's something that doesn't work quite as well line-dancing when you've got on a pair of Nike's. I think it's the general weight of the boots. Or of course, as Buddha would say...it's all in the mind. ^_^

Also...now people...don't freak out....exploring Christianity. Well, I figured since I've been through almost every other religion...might as well, right? It's interesting. There are things that have changed in me and the way I view life...but I need to make my peace with Christianity. As most of you know, and as some of you don't...I was put through one of those "Jesus can change you from a homo" camps. It was a very dark experience and something that tainted my view of Christianity thereafter. It also colored my view of Jesus in general. It was like a trusted friend suddenly became my judge and jury. Well, I guess I'm looking into Christianity to heal what it hurt in me. I can't say I'll stay forever or if I'm just passing through...but it's going to be an interesting trip.

Hello everyone!

I'm just posting this here for good vibes for my friend and fellow actor, Heather Ashleigh. She portrayed the character Silan in Hidden Frontier season 7.

Well, tonight she's in the hospital set to give birth in the morning...

She has had some health issues in the past so please...just some positive vibes, prayers, meditation...or whatever your flavor...in her direction. I'm hoping to report tomorrow that baby and mom made it through okay...

Bleeding eyes

AS much as I like Ganesha...um...the background I put on my myspace made my eyes bleed...wow was it orange...

Grand Old Party...

Um... IS IT JUST ME?

I keep seeing old Republican senators and their "hip" new myspace profiles as "cool (the term is used loosely here) new people" to meet. Um...sure Gramps. I barely talk to my own Democratic senator, let alone friend them on myspace. Like I'm gonna friend a senator on myspace who has a completely different outlook on life along with a two year old photo from a GOP rally? Nope...

Oh, and they need to put up some hot college intern photos...of cute little Republican hotties. Hey, just because I disagree with their political position doesn't mean I'd kick 'em out of bed. ^_~ only kidding.

Cancer, Anger and Attachment

You know, I was talking with Jaytee's Mom on Friday and told her that I was so upset about her cancer, that "it wasn't fair!". She told me, "Honey, Life isn't fair...you can't think of it in those terms." The point really hit home this morning as I was listening to a dharma talk and I heard this....
