I got lost in a winter storm
looking for some place to get warm
Stumble through the winter cold
Silver wings that should not fold

Got lost somewhere in the night
I was just trying to get it right
missed a turn about a mile back
the train just got itself off track

LOST IN THE DARK trying to find my way
LOST IN THE DARK like a lost bird of prey
LOST IN THE DARK which way do I turn
Get to close to the sun and you will get burned

Unable to find my way out here
Getting too close to the earth's atmosphere
Lost power to the jets, cant move the ship
Can't figure out when I lost my grip

Com link down can't get a damage report
rerouting the power back to life support
Out in the darkness with no air to breath
The dots connect the tangled web we weave

DEAD SILENCE

Once walked down a lonely road
carrying my own heavy load
listening to the wind whisper to me
look up at the morning sky
as a tear falls from my eye
nothing around as far as I could see

As I slowly walk down this path
I visit some place in the past
Try to find the answer that I seek
Questions forming in my mind
as I walk the halls of time
I wish I could form the words to speak

Dead Silence envelopes the light of dawn
I somehow find a reason to carry on
Dead Silence forms a word that I can't say
We all live to see the light of day

The wind whistles a soft caress
I wonder if this is a test
Lord can you give me some kind of sign
In the distance something moves
starting to get in my groove
chaos comes and steps out of line

The path winds and grinds me down
I thought I heard a sound
look around and see no one is there
Will I awake from the dream
What does this vision mean
Thought I just saw a solar flare

Dead Silence envelopes the light of dawn

The Dream

Once upon a time
When everything was lost in the dark
I had no heartbeat
And everything just fell apart

Fell to the ground
And cracked like an egg
Noone to help me out
Of the mess of my life I made

Deep inside there was a dream
It just refused to die
My FAITH unsealed the crypt
and brought life back to my eye

I had not lived in years

I heard it in my soul
As I awoke in the dawn

Seven summers of distant wonders   
Dreams lost deep in the past

Worst kind fo spell that was cast

Finally awoke from the nightmare
To find that I know living death

Felt as though nothing was left

Spent days in the void
lost without a trace
Emptiness in my eyes
Blank look on my face

Backed away, let life go
kept it burried deep inside
Would've stayed locked away
