The Youngsters Phoenix EP Vinyl is released
Ovum is very excited to bring you the debut release from legendary duo The Youngsters.
'Phoenix' uses a simple heavy key co-ordination balanced under high end spacey keys. Already receiving four plays from Pete Tong on his Radio 1, Dave Mothersole's MOS radio show, and play from Ben Watt on his Kiss FM show.
'Rock To The Bit' again adapts the simpler yet effective approach. An easy bottom line moves forward as the top end electronic configuration keeps it spacey.
Huge support from Dubfire, Nic Fanciulli, Satoshie Tomie, John Digweed, D Ramirez, Darko Esser, Gregor Thresher, Hernan Cattaneo, Jody Wisternoff, Laurent Garnier, and you as soon as you hear it!
Both tracks on the EP are essential DJ tools and another essential release from the Ovum stable.

D’julz "Just So You Know" is out now
D'julz 'Just So You Know" including 2000 and One remix 1) Original 2) D'julz Bass Mix 3) 2000 and One remix
D'julz returns to Wink's Ovum with 'Just So You Know' - his third release for the label, including a remix from 2000 and One.
'Just So You Know' original starts heavy and plays it heavy. A 'tap-tap' bass leads the way into a warm and memorable rolling groove, added 'in and out' freaky high-end detail and a kick... The bass mix gives you a deeper, headier mix. And, 2000 and One - whose releases on 100% Pure, Intacto and Remote Area have driven him well into every DJ's box - gives a more subtle, forward pushing take on the original.
Major Support from Adam Beyer, Francois K, Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Josh Wink, Laurent Garnier, Loco Dice, Luciano, Marc Romboy, Marco Carolla, Nic Fanciulli, Pete Tong, Roger Sanchez, Slam, Steve Bug, and many more.

Shlomi Aber "Tokyo Shanghai/Quivery" is released
Shlomi Aber has set dancefloors on fire with great release over the past year, and we're very please to have this massive follow up to his 2007 Ovum hit 'Freakside'. Having made many 2007 year end charts (including Pete Tong's) this EP look set to do even more damage!
Over the past two years Shlomi's had the kind of impact usually reserved for inbound meteors, the reason for which is buried in a ground swell of genre-defying appreciation and support. Be it Sven Vath, Carl Craig, John Digweed, Richie Hawtin, or Francois K, all are championing this prodigy from Israel.
Ovum couldn't wait to get his next production on their roster. A simply irresistible package from a unbeatable team of a man who exceeds all expectations and the label who always delivers the groove.
Huge support from Dubfire, Hernan Cattaneo, Jesse Rose, Laurent Garnier, Michel De Hey, Nic Fanciulli, Pete Tong, Satoshie Tomie, Wyatt Jenkins, Josh Wink, and many more!
Go get your copy today at your loval vinyl retail shop or online viny store.

Marc Romboy vs Tyree Cooper "Lost" is released
Hey All,
Acid house legend Tyree Cooper teams up with prolific German producer and Dynamic Records boss Marc Romboy for a monster collaboration.
The Original mix gives pure nods to the Chicago Acid house sound. Pure 80's 303 Acid lines with the production of now. Tyree lends his effective and simple vocals, pushing this track to another level complementing the swing. An acid groove to make anybody's booty move! Dancefloor devistation!
The Dub loses the 303 and the vocals, adds a synth line and a pulsing rhythm that starts out minimal and develops into an contagious groove. The track progresses into a hypnotic state, where the synth resonates and opens it's envelopes engulfing anybody who is listening, grabbing them and shaking them back and forth! Big room mayhem is sure to occur!
France's Brique Rouge Head Honcho David Duriez and Chicago house maestro Mazi (Audio Soul Project) are on form piloting this deep house remix. Acid lines, organ stabs and a synth melody reminiscent of a classic Ron Trent release, create a seductive, sexy groove on this dubbed out house interpretation. Pure ecstasy, in this cavernous, after-hours house dub journey!
This record has gotten huge support from Loco Dice, James Talk, Nic Fanciulli, Laidback Luke, Laurent Garnier, Shlomi Aber, and of course our own Josh Wink!

Djinxx & Xpansul "Spanish Kebab/Parasol" is released
Ovum is excited to bring you the debut release from Djinxx & Xpansul "Spanish Kebab/Parasol". Djinxx known for his own label Mezzinoto and his realeases on F Comm, Neuton, Cocoon, and 100% Pure has partenered up with Xpansul who is know for his Discos De Lata label and releases on Plus 8, Trapez, and Immigrant. This amazing collaboration has given us an incredible twelve inch. Josh played this at Green and Blue this summer and it went over huge! Now you can finally get your own copy!
Spanish Kebab is apulsating tech house track that begins in a minimal fashion and slowly builds and builds, gaining more energy and tension with each break. A sinister electro synth enters and pushes the melody deeper into your head. 4 minutes into the song, silence hits and slowly builds to an eruption that will cause mayhem on any sound-system! Parasol is a tech house track, infused with Detroit melodies and percussive rawness (with an influence of G-Man's 'Quo Vardis' and Maurizio production). 'Parasol' has a hypnotic groove that throbs with deep layers of analog tones, strings and bleeps which pushes the track forward. This is a great balance of production sounds, combining old school techno and new tech house that makes the track explode, while still keeping its' integrity!
Major support coming from Laurent Garnier, Tania Vulcano, Nic Fanciulli, Clive Henry, D Ramirez, Ed Karney, Shlomi Aber, Hernan Cattaneo, and of course our very own Josh Wink! You can see all the feedback and sales info at www.ovum-rec.com
Go get a copy today at your local viny shop or online retailer. You can aslo get a copy at the new Ovum vinyl shop at www.ovum-rec.com

Gel Abril "The Underground Bullshit/Papa Dee" is released
We are excited to bring you the debut release from Gel Abril's "The Underground Bullshit/Papa Dee" A lot of you were fans of Gel's remix of the amazing Freakside by Shlomi Aber or his releases on Be As One.
The Underground Bullshit- A minimal, raw, tech house track that focuses around a bass-line that will instantaneously burrow itself deep into anyone's head and never leave! Analog stabs are drenched in delays, thrusting the song onward, creating tension and mayhem. A spellbinding groove that causes havoc on any sound-system, and has destroyed many clubs and big festivals this past summer by WiNK, causing him to want this track for Ovum.
Papa Dee-An infectious tech house groove with minimal overtones and 'US house' swing gives this hypnotic track the appeal for both house, minimal and tech djs. The pulsing bass and stabs push onward from the start, propelling the track to its frenzied climax. Simple and hugely effective!
Being supported by Josh Wink, Laurent Garnier, Hernan Cattaneo, Ricardo Villalobos, Marc Romboy, Marco Bailey, Mauro Picotto, Tom Novy, D'julz, 2000 and One, and many more!
