DIAMOND COMICS DISTRIBUTORS MAKES PLANS TO DISTRIBUTE "BIRTH"!
Levittown, NY - September 11th, 2007 - Alterna Comics proudly announces that Diamond Comics Distributors has agreed to distribute its first Alterna Comics title, Michael Bracco's graphic novel "Birth".
Alterna Price: $9.95 US Cover: Michael Bracco Writer: Michael Bracco Artist: Michael Bracco Readership: Young Adult Format: Graphic Novel, B&W, 88 pages ISBN: 9780979787409 Birth centers around an alien world where two nations have cursed each other to extinction. Birth tells the story of the conflict that erupts from that curse, and how the sole survivors of that war produce an offspring that was meant to be a savior but ends up having no one left to save but himself. The story continues with this character, Novo, in his own self-titled series.
Diamond plans on including Birth in its November previews catalog with a shelf date set for January. This event was 9 months in the making as Birth was one of the first titles to be included in the Alterna Comics catalog.
Alterna Comics President and Publisher, Peter Simeti states, "We are all immensely proud of Michael for this great opportunity that his book has both allowed him and Alterna Comics to make a break into the major spotlight. I had set huge goals for all the small press books here at Alterna and it fills me with pride to know that we are well on our way to achieving those goals. 2007 was a great start up year for us and 2008 looks to be a turning point for us! I personally hope that everyone gives Birth a chance, as it is one of the most interesting, entertaining, beautiful, and intelligent works I've ever laid my eyes on."
We will have more information and a Diamond Order Code, once things begin to fully unfold.

Ruin 1 gets a review from Geeksofdoom.com!
Alterna Comics has produced some enjoyable titles recently and this is one of the company's better efforts. If you enjoy a good machine-saves-humanity tale, Ruin will be a comic you'll want in your collection of post-apocalyptic comic books that don't involve zombies.

Novo 2 receives praise from comicnews.info!
The artwork is equally up to par with the writing. Micheal S Bracco has talent, plain and simple. This is the type of comic that I look forward to receiving and reviewing. It's different from anything currently on the market and that my friends is a good thing! read more!

American Terror 1 - another rave review from Comicnews.info!
To say that I really enjoyed this comic book would be an understatement. I was totally engrossed by this book. I felt that the storytelling and artwork was very effective in saying what it wanted to say and leaving a solid impression on the reader. It has become quite clear that Alterna Comics has a stable of very talented writers and artists, and the creative team on American Terror fits right in.

Alterna Tales 1 reviewed by geeksofdoom.com!
Alterna Tales Anthology 1 offers up five short stories in the old horror comic/EC tradition. Some go for an Evil Dead humor/horror hybrid, and others just go for straight horror. And like most anthology titles some work better than others, but all of these offer the reader something different.

American Terror 1 gets a rave review from geeksofdoom.com!!
From the eye-catching and button-pushing title, to the story by Jeff McComsey and James Cooper, the art by McComsey, and the right-out-of-the-gate speeding bullet pace, Alterna Comics may just have the best comic on their hands that they've published to date.

Ruin 1 reviewed by Movies at Midnight!
With only three issues to turn the heroic motif on its head, this bi-monthly comic is sure to be a fast paced run to the easily predictable final battle. But even when you know where you going, how you get there can still be full of adventure and surprises. Ruin is such a tale, and you would be wise to follow Black Zero on its journey.

Risers 2 gets reviewed by comicnews.info!
Martin Fisher continues his zombie tale with a twist with Risers 2. I'm just going to get right to the heart of it. This is a very good comic book. It presents a tale, a zombie tale, that is far different from anything that you or I have ever seen before.

Mr. Puffinopolus 2 reviewed by Geeksofdoom.com!
Don't let the high school newspaper cartoonist artwork (though maybe that is even your thing, in a bad special effects B-movie kinda way) keep you away from what could become the flagship comedy title of Alterna Comics.

The Chair 2 gets a great review by Geeksofdoom.com!
Picking up right where issue one left off, Sullivan continues his internal monologue describing his day to day life and some of the more infamous inmates locked up in the prison... ...Simeti gets the end of issue two right this time around, with a lead out that will have readers waiting impatiently for the rest of the series to find out just how far into the abyss Simeti is willing to throw Sullivan. The Chair, with its finite number of issues, is gearing to become a story that will best be read all the way through in one sitting, so that Simeti's increasing pace can be fully felt and appreciated.
