thats how ive been feeling lately kinda tired and run down. havent blogged it in a while so i got some cathcing up to do. mainly a lot of service industry updates. so after the demise of the o bar i worked at this upscale dining place in the short north, which totally flaked out on me. that sucked, it was fun for a while but then they just flaked, but i met some nice people. then i started working at the High Five bar on south campus and it rules and will always rule. its a punk/rock club so its music all the time and the people there are awesome and totally fun. the entire staff is great and i cant say enough good things about them. they are the motliest surliest group of wonderful freaks ive ever worked with. i recently changed my status there to on call bartender due to me being busy at work and what not. im just run down. ive also been working at this place in grandview which is really cool. its a nicer italian restaurant called trattoria roma. i really like it there, the people, staff and kithcen are all great and ive met some cool people there. besides that the summer has flown by, katie turned two in july and is super fun and chatty and charming and we listen to punk rock in the living room and slam dance together.....super fun. tracy is doing well also she is a pure joy and is keeping me sane and really helping me out with everything seeing as im so friggin tired and busy all the time. ive been boxing with a buddy of mine and working out pretty regularly which has really been keeping my sane. so lately even though im so busy the excersize has been really good for me physically and mentally. oh i got to see envy a month ago and they ruled, totally passionate japanese hardcore really good stuff. i also did a few weddings over the summer which were really cool. ive done 4 so far, so if anyone needs to get hitched just hit me up. peace and chicken grease

so ive been working at my friends new bar in victorian village and things were great. the bar is a very small classy martini bar that is the gem of the village. everyone loves it and i love working there. i love working for my friend and also im working with antoher friend of mine. so good times had by all. but the fuck face the works next door who we share part of the buisiness with (long story)  with is a miserable old drunk who is afraid of success and is running us into the ground and out of that space. so we are closing down at the end of the month and moving and my last shift there is this thursday. im totally bummed because that place rocks and it wouldve seriously been one of the coolest bars in columbus. oh well, we will see what happens when my buddy re-opens. i did get another gig at a fancy place in town, which im totall looking forward to working there. its really nice and ill be able to learn a lot, both in the world of bartending and the culinary arts. also my mom is coming for a week long visit today with my aunt from spain who i havent seen in 3 years. so im really excited about that. itll help katalena learn some spanish. i try to teach her and she is picking it up but the more she hears it the better.

This weekend went fast as always. my buddy omar opened up his bar this weekend so that was good fun. Brian and I bartended for the opening weekend and we did well. lots of people showed up friday and saturday so we were pretty busy. good music good drinks good people and good times. his bar came together really well, its a nice small martini bar on the corner of 5th and neil and its really cool. he did a great job with the space. some peeps came down for the opening it was pretty cool, i think it was liked by all. also the sopranos season premier was yesterday.....awesome.

so its been an interesting few weeks round these parts. first i got fired from red star, ive been working there for 2.5 years and one greedy GM comes in and decides he needs to make more money so he fires me to get my shift. he can legally do that but in the process of firing me he questioned my integrity and character. thats why i took action and currently should have the matter resolved. these guys think im some chump and im not, especially when it comes to the well being of my family. dont piss off a spick. it was all very sad but im getting over it and hey maybe there will be greener pastures coming round here soon. i got some promising leads so its all good.

tracy and kat are going to florida as we speak and i miss my grrls terribly. but i hope they have fun in the sun. one thing that i miss the most is that kat gives me a welcome home squeal/yell when i get home from work. its so happy and silly and always puts me in a good mood if ive had a bad day. so with them gone now i have no husbandly or fatherly duties except to max. so we have been spending some quality time together. lots of long walks to the park.

work is going well. i love my job and the people i work with. the work is interesting and challenging and dynamic. i feel truly blessed with my co-workers they all rock :)

GLBT dog friendly neighborhood

so my neighbors that live behind us are these tough machismo guys that have two big male pit bulls. they are good lookin dogs, big, good color, but are pretty mean. you can tell, they are ok with me but are pretty territorial. so i was wathcing them play in their yard the other day and they are totally gay. the big one, which is a total bottom, let the little one, which is a total top, mount him and start rockin his world. the big one loved it he was all perked up and looking back at his buddy with a big smile on his face. so i started wondering if they are going through some kind of inner struggle. mainly because they are supposed to be these big manly dogs that are named "chaos" and "thunderforce" or some bullshit like that and they are gay. i just hope the owner realizes this and accepts them, maybe thats why they are kind of aggressive because they havent been accepted into the family totally and are confused. and maybe thats why they are ok with me and tracy cuz we are GLBT dog friendly. wait till the republicans hear about this, soon they will take away chaos's and thunderforce's insurance and wont let them visit each other while one is sick at the vet.

this weekend was super fun. thursday i cooked all day and made a yummy meal for the in-laws. we all ate and drank and had a wonderful case of food coma the rest of the evening. saturday was my 10 year highschool reunion. that was a blast. it was at my highschools auditorium, and when the old crew got back together it was like old times, with the fun and trouble we use to get into. we started hammering beers and whiskey then got a tour of the school. beers were left in kids lockers and in the chaple and teachers lounge. and i think someone peed in someones locker wtf! then the dancing started and my friend's 50 year old drunk aunt showed up with a bottle of whiskey,she got more tanked and started flashing her boobs. some highlights were rehashing of old memories and hearing that my buddy drew at his high school graduation party someone took a shit in his yard and wiped their ass with a loaf of bread. that was the funniest thing i heard all night. we then moved the party to rockers a bar down the road and stayed their till it was time to go to ihop and eat yummy drunk food. it was great seeing everybody and catching up.we got back sunday and saw the in-laws off and stayed at home chillin with the baby, who is sick again booo.

so im looking forward to the long thanksgiving weekend. i need some time off to play. i gotta work at death star a few nights this week for a few hockey games, but itll be all good and fun. hockey nights are cool, they are mad busy and they fly by. we are doing thanksgiving up at our house this year, my in laws are coming in to celebrate with us and then on saturday its my 10 year highschool reunion. 10 years already ,crazy. im looking forward to seeing everyone and catchin up with old friends. some people i havent seen or heard from in 10 years so itll be nice to catch up. this past weekend was fun i spent a lot of time with katalena, we have so much fun together. she likes wrestling around with me and i love it to. she is so fun and silly and i miss her while at work.

tracy and i saw a interesting movie this weekend called me you and everybody else. its one of those movies that you kinda need to chew on for a bit after you see it, buts its good

so this week has been pretty busy at work and still trying to finish up this study that my friend and i started at osu about 4 years ago. its a big one and right now its a pain in the ass. im not doing it for the money but i am doing it for the chicks...no not really i hope to get some publications out of it. its just a pain balancing battelle, osu , red star and daddyhood. i cant wait till its done itll be a nice relief. i see the rest of the week being busy during the day and night and i gotta tend bar on friday too. so that will be a long day. the weeekedn should be fun just relaxin at home with the fam.

this past weekend we got a dude arrested for trying to bail on a tab. he was all drunk on jack and cokes and we busted him. it was a smooth bust if i do say so myself. i guess one isnt that slick when one is drunk on whiskey.

on another note im gratefull that my friend steve gave me the song endless happiness by the black dice. i love meditating to that song. its 15 minutes of soft harmonies , crazy drums then beach sounds. it always puts me in a good place

this weekend was really fun. friday night went to a spanish tapas and wine party at my boy pablos house so we all hung out and got our spanish on, brought my parents a long they had a good time. then after that i picked up mary from the airport and went to a costume party. mary went as velma from scooby doo and tracy and i went as cows. we were poppin and locking all over the dance floor and we was freakin our teats on bitches yeah! it was really fun, plus i havent seen that crowd in a while. the good thing for dressing up as a cow is that everyone always grabs your udders and i had my wang stuck inside one of them so i had a 1 in 4 chance of getting a little play ya know what im saying. saturday my mom and i cooked,that was good fun we hadnt done that in a while, she taught me all my skills so it was cool to throw down in the kitchen, we got all the goodies together for sunday. the baptism went well got too see some old friends then after the ceremony we had a little party at our house. so we sat around and ate a bunch of spanish food and drank spanish wine and listened to flamenco music. good times just like the old days.
