The Great Malibu Debacle Of 2008
Current mood: exhausted
Category: Life

What was supposed to turn out to be a normal trip out to Lansing turned out to be a mother fucking hassle and a half...

Got to good ole Marshall Music at 9:00. Met Colin and Les up there so we could drive out to the Lansing store to help out at the big sale. We took my car. The drive out there went smoothly. Got to the store and it was INSANE. I haven’t seen anything like it. Not even during rental season is the Allen Park store that crazy. There were people EVERYWHERE. Colin and Les sold a bunch of stuff upstairs in G&A. I sold a ton of Band & Orchestra accessories and right before we left I ended up selling a $800 wood oboe and a $2500 Buffet R13. It was a great day for selling that’s for sure.

We left at about, oh 4ish I would say. Picked up some BDubs to eat on the way home and we were on our merry way... or so we thought. Got to about 96 and Middlebelt and had to stop for gas. When we pulled out of the gas station the car started acting funny. Then it just took a complete SHIT. Wouldn’t start back up. So Colin and Les had to push the thing up on some 90 degree angle driveway. Colin damn near killed himself because the mother fing car almost rolled back on him. RAR! So Bilek came to pick up Colin and Les. My dad came to get me and to try to get the thing started because we thought it was the alternator or the battery or something stupid.

Yeah, that wasn’t it because we still couldn’t get the car started. So we called the insurance company to get a tow and their bitch ass computers were down so they couldn’t verify that we had a policy. We called Riverview Towing and they actually were there pretty damn quick. It was about 8:00 at that point. I called Vicki to let her know what was up and she said I could drive the company van tomorrow to school and my lesson and just bring it back Tuesday morning when I go to work. Which was super cool of her. So we get to my house and the towing guy said they had to call the credit card company because it wasn’t going through correctly. Turns out the dumb ass didn’t read the Vcode right because he "couldn’t see it with the poor light in his truck" when it was plain as day, even to my blind ass. My mom had to drive me all the way back to Allen Park to get the company van and I ended up getting home at 9. When I should have been home at around 6.

OH MY GOD. What a shitty night! I KNEW I shouldn’t have volunteered to work today! Then again, I’m glad it broke down when and where it did. I’m glad Colin and Les were there and that it broke down on the service drive. If it would have happened tomorrow morning on my way to Ypsi I would have been stuck on the side of 94 in the ghetto, crying my eyes out, having a full blown panic attack. And my dad wouldn’t have been home to save the day because he would have been at work. Thank God, Buddha, Allah, Mother Earth or whatever the powers may be for that.

And that, my friends, was my wonderfully fun Sunday!

I. AM. SO. TIRED.

For all you people fighting over stupid shit...
Current mood: peaceful

I suggest listening to this song at least once.

Isn't It A Pity
by George Harrison

Isn't it a pity
Now, isn't it a shame
How we break each other's hearts
And cause each other pain
How we take each other's love
Without thinking anymore
Forgetting to give back
Isn't it a pity

Some things take so long
But how do I explain
When not too many people
Can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears
Their eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Isn't it a pity

Isn't it a pity
Isn't is a shame
How we break each other's hearts
And cause each other pain
How we take each other's love
Without thinking anymore
Forgetting to give back
Isn't it a pity

Forgetting to give back
Isn't it a pity
Forgetting to give back
Now, isn't it a pity

(6 times, fade the 6th:)
What a pity
What a pity, pity, pity
What a pity
What a pity, pity, pity

I can't say it enough... George Harrison was/is/always will be the most amazing man on Earth. His music (Even the cheesy stuff like "I Got My Mind Set On You") had so much thought, feeling and meaning behind it. He's my hero. I hope to someday be in as much peace as he was.

I HAAAAAAATE being sick!
Current mood: exhausted

I feel so out of it right now. My throat is so sore and swollen and I feel dizzy, achey and I think I may have a fever. Ick. I just downed some Nyquil and I'm drinking some Throat Coat tea and water. The sucky part is that I have to wake up early to take my grandma to her doctor appointment so I can't sleep in tomorrow. :-( Regardless of how I'm feeling tomorrow I plan on going to see The Midnight Gamblers play for a little while atleast. I probably won't drink at all though. What a wonderful way to start off the new year... a cold from hell!

I'll be the first to blow... your mind
Current mood: horny

Come here big boy
Ahh, mmmhmm, yeah

You've been a bad bad boy
I'm gonna take my time, so enjoy
There's no need to feel no shame
Relax and sip upon my champagne
'Cause I wanna give you a little taste
Of the sugar below my waist, you nasty boy

I'll give you some oh-la-la
Voulez vous coucher avec moi?
I got you breaking into a sweat
Got you hot, bothered, and wet
You nasty boy

Nasty naughty boy

Oh baby for all it's worth
I swear I'll be the first to blow your mind
Now if you're ready, come and get me
I'll give you that hot, sweet, sexy loving (loving)

Hush now, don't say a word
I'm gonna give you what you deserve
Now you better give me a little taste
Put your icing on my cake
You nasty boy

Oh no, oh there I go again
I need a spanking, 'cause I've been bad
So let my body do the talkin'
I'll slip you that hot, sweet, sexy loving

Ohh ha!
Come on daddy!
Ohh ohh, ohh ohh oh yeah
Oh yeaah oh, come on, sugar

I got you breaking into a sweat
Got you hot, bothered, and wet
You nasty boy

Nasty naughty boy
Naughty boy

Oh baby for all it's worth
I swear I'll be the first to blow your mind
Now that you're ready, give it to me
Just give me that hot, sweet, sexy loving

Now give me a little spanking
Ohh, ohh, is that all you've got?
Come on now, don't play with me

Oh give me that hot, sweet, nasty
Boy don't you make me wait
Now you better give me a little taste
Put your icing on my cake
You nasty boy

My dad...
Current mood: numb

I feel so bad for him right now. On the day he has to say goodbye to his grandmother, he finds out he is permanently laid off from his job. As of this morning, the doors of BlueDot were officially closed. So now, unless he gets hired in somewhere else really soon, he has to sell the two things that mean the most to him... his boat and his Harley. I wish there were something I could do for him. Does anyone know of a decent heating and cooling company that's hiring?

A little more calm...
Current mood: sad

It still hasn't set in, but I'm a little less hysterical. I'm so grateful that I was able to grow up with my great grandmother. She was such an amazing woman. So feisty, full of life and just plain amazing. I have so many memories... Not very many people get to even meet their great grandparents. I got to live right down the street from mine. I still remember being little and stopping at their house on the way home from school. Her and my great grandpa always had food waiting. Usually butter pecan ice cream. We got to drink out of the cool aluminum tumblers. Eat all the candy we wanted. Listen to them fight. Haha, they were so funny; always fought but you could tell how much they loved each other. It's still so hard to believe that not only my great grandpa is gone but my great grandma is too. :-(

My dad said when he saw her yesterday in the hospital she seemed to be doing pretty well. She was pissed off because she had to stay in bed. She hated not being able to move around and knowing her, she probably just wanted to smoke a cigarette. :-) I miss her so much already. But glad she doesn't have to suffer. Glad she gets to be with grandpa again. They're probably already arguing about something. And their stupid little dog Duffy is probably barking his head off right between them.

I thought this week had been tough... next week will probably be even tougher.

Although I'm not really ready for 2007 I think it will be a good year. Why? Because seven has always been my favorite/lucky number. It's God's number, you can't go wrong.

Playing the same old game
Current mood: frustrated

Your scars where still showing when I first met you, baby
From all she had done to you
And I came along and applied a little loving
Slowly but surely I brought you through

Now she's back to rekindle that old flame
She's got a different angle, baby
But she's playing the same old game

Baby, don't be a victim of a foolish heart
Don't let her lies get next to you
She is just trying to tear us apart
And she's trying to make me, to make me her victim too

Now I know she comes around here everytime I leave,
Cause she knows, she's still on your mind, on your mind
See, even a wise man jumps into misery somewhere down the line
But only a fool will jump the second time
Our affair is growing stronger every day
Don't let her come and steal our happpiness away

Baby, Don't be a victim of a foolish heart
Don't let her lies get next to you, no
She is just trying to tear us apart
And she's trying to make me, to make me her victim too

Now she's back to rekindle that old flame
She's got a different angle, baby
But she's playing the same old game

Baby, don't be a victim of a foolish heart
Don't let her lies get next to you, dont,
Ooh, she's just trying to tear, tear us us apart
And she's trying to make, to make me her victim too

I'm not gonna let her make me
I'm not gonna let her
I'm not gonna let her make me
I'm not gonna let her

Can't you see what she's doing to you boy?
Don't be a victim
